  1. and this bit oh and this bit. Sorry mate but I don't believe that for a second. As I said in the post before this he wasn't the right man for the job. And yes the second quote is correct but with the right manager, not some pig headed anti football twat. Leaze is right in his response to my available managers post. It's up to the chairman and owner to seel this club to a manager that can bring stability and a future, not a manager like Allardyce that thought prozone stats and mathematical set pieces are the future of football. Final thought on Allardyce, the last 5 or so matches have seen the team start relatively strong in the first half and then come out a complete shambles in the second, Stoke being a great example. Why?
  2. Ok and guess what I agree with all of the above. But it was obvious that Allardyce wasn't the manager to do it. Forget the attractive football argument, forget the league table argument, forget the cash to spend argument. Just like that last season of SBR, the Souness and Roeder reigns, he was making the same mistakes over and over and over again. He just dodn't look like he knew what he was doing. How to change things, how to take the club forward. Stability is one thing but there has to be progress however slight and Allardyce didn't show progress. Noelie the old bugger pointed to the lack of change between the two Derby matches and bless him, he's was fucking right (for once). The club has done the correct thing and cut their losses. He couldn't be trusted with more transfer funds, so they needed to back him or sack him. And they've had the balls to do the right thing.
  3. Yep, remember this is the same media that have been writing stories ever since Ashley bought the club that he's selling. They have no idea.
  4. That bit is correct the rest is just the usual opinionated journalist bullshit. Dave, it's like people calling you the posh fat bastid, enough people keep doing it and someone who doesn't know you will believe it to be true.
  5. so, hang on, you listed a bunch of managers and now suddenly they're interested? where is this interest? people are reacting to the "not foreign" "proper channels" "not Shearer" comments, rightly or wrongly. oh and the bit in bold? you're taking the piss right? other fans laugh because we've over inflated views of the club, we're represented by redundaloids on Sky, we've changed our managers an incredible amount of times amongst many many other reason. For fuck sake Dave, you'd find an argument in an empty room at the moment, are you fop in disguise? Where did I say they are interested, I said they're available! And yes I'm very serious, Alex and bunch of other alluded to the exact same sentiment a couple of days ago. To be honest mate your opinion of Newcastle has been so negative for so long now that maybe you need to look beyond the manager shite and remember which club you support.
  6. With all the excitement how did people miss this gem?
  7. Will be a top class manager some day Just not here and now.
  8. What fucking bugs me with all the soothsayers is the fact they constantly whine about "who would want to come to this club?" I posted a list of viable, available managers that could all do a good job at Newcastle two weeks ago and guess what all of them with possibly the exception of Mourinho would consider the toon job as a step up from where they currently are. But no we're Newcastle and we're a joke so fuck it has to be Hughes or 'arry or Coppell or Boothfuckingroyth or Strachan. Forget the supporters of other clubs laughing at us, they only do it because they know once this club gets it right they are going to be fucked six ways of sunday. Have some faith, Mort and Ashley could see the problem and unlike Allardyce I bet they see the solution!
  9. Not sure I agree with that. Ah come on Ben, we've been agreeing on so much recently, don't ruin the love!
  10. jon spencer blues explosion - now I got worry yeeeeeeeeeeeeah!
  11. Big Mike trying to recoup some of the fee for getting rid of Big Sam? Doubt it, Ashley is too slick to let others in on where he's going to make a quick buck, look at the adidas shares, 30m in eight weeks!
  12. What gives you that impression? After all the shit of him going to Southampton and then going back to pompey, it's highly unlikely.
  13. Personally I don't understand everyone's worry about Coppell or the like. Even 'arry. We have an owner and chairman with very little football knowledge so 99% of the names being mentioned would just pass them by as "who"? Also it won't be 'arry because they won't want another manager with a "bung" history involved. It would be very costly for them if the hire 'arry while fighting a case against a certain Mr Bond. Have faith people, they've watched how "class" managers such as Sven and Juan have turned around their teams, they won't be looking to consolidate, it's not in their business plan.
  14. You don't know how hard it's been for me man. Absoloutley loathe the odious twat. Welcome back to the fold HF. The world just seemed off kilter with your "support" for the fucking twat.
  15. As radgi says every Friday By the way I'm always at work!
  16. Personally I have complete faith in the owner and his chairman, something at no time I've had with Allardyce.
  17. I know I'm late to the conversation but fucking get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Not a chance we'd sign Fred for £5M. 500k for that old bomb Carr is even more unrealistic.
  19. I don't think your mate will appreciate you flirting like this... and who am I to stand in the way of young love? Considering your vitriol towards women at the best of times Dave, I'm amazed you haven't tried to arrange a daisy chain with Tom and his mate.
  20. Seen him play 3 or 4 games for the Australian U23 team and at that level, considering he's 19 he looks an excellent player. Problem is he's an attacking midfielder and perfect for a 4-3-3 formation. So obviously he's of no use to Allardyce!
  21. What no sonic youth tuning mode?!??
  22. You are correct to some degree Dave but at the same time I'm also a believer in there is no smoke without fire. We all know he has tried, successfully with Faye, unsuccessfully with Anelka, Ben Haim (twice now) and yet to decide Doiuf to recruit them from Bolton. Nolan was his captain and played as the left side of his front three so it's not outside the possibility that he would go after him. He also fits Allardyce's main requirement for a player, he's tall and solid and no doubt is cheap, so it's not unreasonable to accept it is more than a rumour. Even though it is just a rumour Until it's to late and he's signed for us, then it's reality!
