  1. A few years ago now but I only remember one pub round the corner from the ground and not far away from a dodgy estate you should probably avoid. There were Chicagos or whatever more in town which must have been walking distance (because we walked it) but we just drove down, had a pint in the pub mentioned and drove back. Hope that has helped
  2. You missed off 'G' at the end of the tweet.
  3. As much as an absolute wanker he is, if he IS putting some effort in training and looking like a decent option then I am all for us getting our moneys worth out of him. Still would prefer him to be sacked.
  4. Can't actually argue with much of that, one thing I will debate is buying Duff (often shifting N'Zogbia out of the side) when it was clear as day we needed a left back, which meant we had to play Huntington at left back which knocked us out of Europe. Also we were definitely on a downward spiral, they had done well but had run out of ideas and were chucking silly amounts at managers like Souness to solve the problems. Now as I said, Ashley has a lot to answer for but imo things were going to shit before he came in. His business like approach does piss me off very much because we target players for all the wrong reasons.
  5. He is a 'comedian' who acts like a charver but not in an intelligent/amusing way that Baron Sacha Cohen did.
  6. You know what I mean, we were falling fast no matter how much money was thrown at shite managers when Ashley bought the club and there aren't the same routes in these days. It's fair to say there wasn't much protest about Shepherd and Co leaving anyway, but lets not get into that
  7. As much stick as Ashley deserves (and he really does deserve some, especially after this summer) we were looking a million miles away from Europe, let alone moaning about a European performance before he came in.
  8. I am quite an easy going bloke, I like or at least can stand a lot of people most hate but this Lee Nelson bloke is just a an absolute bellend.
  9. Because failing to eat a loaf of bread in one sitting is lazy?
  10. Imagine that was your team mate, what would you say to him?
  11. Still don't understand this tbh, he won't increase their chances of making it through the champions league and they aren't doing bad in the league. Given he is obviously a stop gap there was absolutely no point in getting rid of RDM.
  12. Rafa appointed until the end of the season.
  13. I have said the same thing earlier in the thread. He is the anti-CT.
  14. Bet he is the worst fucking neighbour ever, bless them.
  15. The way this mackem is going on It's like John Stead telling Shearer he was a shit striker.
  16. Yep, that new contract was basically his retirement from football. He had one ambition and it was nothing to do with what happens on the pitch. I just hope he 'invests' this money into ventures that get him into a lot of trouble, would anyone be remotely surprised?
  17. I really hope you are just a second account of LBT's otherwise this could be the most pathetic seeking of attention the internet has ever seen
  18. Love Stevie in these threads, It's like having a hard as fuck older brother
  19. If you can't watch us then don't, but if you don't watch don't comment like you are doing right now. Shitdrew is what the mackems call him btw, just saying.
  20. We just misplace far too many easy passes, that's not down to formation but lazyness iyam. We are more responsible for breaking down our own attacks than the opposition half the time. It's not a case of them putting in excellent interceptions, It's us playing balls that are 60/40 in the oppositions favour. Maybe the players are demotivated, maybe challenging for a CL place has put them above their stations but whatever it is something needs to be done by Pardew and the coaches because as said, it is happening far too much and is such a ridiculous problem to have, It's the passing equivalent of a foul throw but it happens half a dozen times per game.
