  5. Here's today's piece of useless information: Mike Ashley will look like Rod Steiger in 20 years:
  6. I'm no accountant but a leveraged buy out in its most cynical and sickest form is when you borrow the money to buy a company and pay it back by asset stripping it and pocketing the difference. A sort of bricks and mortar short trade. Put the political stance aside and this short video could apply to us:
  7. If only we had 35m to spend If only. Don't some clubs get all the luck.
  8. Where is Ashley's helicopter tonight? It'd be great if we could get the pilot to start tweeting.
  9. Replacing with crap means cheaper club IMO Cut costs to the bone and wait and see. Maybe in 5 years time another flotation. He timed Sports Direct nicely.
  10. How about we add in the lads from Wynyard? I've got a book on the history of Northumberland somewhere. Rustlers, thieves and charlatans would be hunted down and executed on the spot. If it was a nice day,They'd be allowed to finish the steak or rabbit they'd just cooked up first. Kinda harsh. Tarring and feathering would do for me.
  11. You'd think that if Ashley was trying to sell the club he'd be trying to polish up the image of the club. Or if he was planning to or re-float it at some stage. Maybe that's the reason he's ruthlessly stamping out the big mouths and stable whisperers.

  14. They still passed it around nicely in parts. I almost hope Larsson scores against us with MA watching. What prices a few extra quid in wages against the gold dust of goal this season?

  16. Me too, best website on the internet by a mile if you sort through the many mugs and add the right people. I very rarely even use the website tbh, browser add-ons and apps all the way. Do you use chrome? Mostly use the phone app, but looking for an extension to use on the PC. It's strange, I find twitter to be a garbled mess. I wish I could join, but I guess my brain isn't wired that way /:lol:
  17. Its great that the NE is clean in this. Even the Mackems seem to have grown a brain this summer.
  18. In the 80s the industrial and engineering assets of the country were looted. Now there's nothing left to loot except crummy electrical shops.
  19. Spot the clapped out presstitute returning to old haunts in a slow summer.
  20. There's no need to go at our throats - its already a walkover. Rhineland Economy is the way to go. It vastly superior to our own Caligula Capitalism.
  21. Hehheh thats good. Well the only time I've included reality television is when Face was on Big Brother. Seeing him being abused and insulted by Jade Goody and some wench from Steps soured me against it forever. I'd pay not to watch it.
  22. Actually the shafting in the NE has been worse than in Scotland. But that's another story.
  23. Funny how many are becoming sentimental British patriots all of a sudden. Where were they when things went sour in Scotland, when Ravenscraig went bust? Or when small towns all across Scotland were becoming boarded up ghost towns. Now the Scots got a chance to get off, the rest of the UK is stuck with pinball debt and a ponzi economy.
  24. Good luck to them. Who doesn't want to get the snide snotbags in London off their backs.
