  1. As long as he's talking about whether his aunties book is on the table or if the window is open, then I'm your man.
  2. I never said that.I hope they are all hugely successful and we start turning over the likes on manu. I'm just inclined to wait and see rather than jump on a bandwagon when nobody has the faintest idea what these players are like.
  3. No, but if you look at this and other threads it was a case of french-check, black-check, athletic-check etc. Which is the profile of the players we've been signing for a number of reasons People seem to be jumping to conclusions that they'll all be Patrick Vieras and I'm pointing out that that is not the case. As past experience has shown. I'm well aware that Williamson is not good enough at all.
  4. No, I'm being realistic. I'd bet very few people on here have any clue what these players are like and nobody knows how they'll adapt to the English game. I've seen too many players over the years who've failed to live up to expectations to get carried away, like many on here at the moment.
  5. Looks can be deceiving. Remember amdy faye. Big, black, athletic but fucking useless. Let's not get carried away until we see what all the new signings are like in the premier league.
  6. I think there are plenty more that could be sent on loan in addition to Ferguson. If Pardew considers skinny ameobi the best of the bunch then thank christ he's signing multiple new faces.
  7. As hard as possible to a footballer means in the pocket. I'd hold onto his registration if he walks out. He won't be paid and can't play elsewhere. Fuck him and take a stand.
  8. I'd swap a bag of chips for ameobi and walk away happy.
  9. Wasn't the question about two quality central defenders? You might have to go back to the 50s. It won't sit well on here and I hate to say it, but we've never had a central defender who could match Charlie Hurley. He was very good.
  10. Bear in mind that Williamson's stats are where it matters. Not in, by comparison, a mickey mouse league.
  11. I'm not seeing much to support that thought. He seems pretty clueless to me and doesn't half come out with some drivel. At least the bulb has gone off and he now recognizes that relegation is a distinct possibility.
  12. And yet, we still got beat at Hereford in the clarts.
  13. As I've said before, Tony Green was everything people say he was.
  14. Even if they don't offer markedly better terms, London will generally trump Newcastle with foreigners.
  15. Tony Want. That was in the Texaco Cup and it was a terrible challenge. Nattrass paid the price though.
  16. Excellent player either at full back or in the middle of the back four. Read a game brilliantly and was out of the Colin Todd / Alan Hansen mould being able to play the ball out. I remember him marking Mick Channon out of the game completely, to the point he never had a kick, and he was a very good player at the time Never the same, IMO, after that twat Kenny Burns did him. I've hated Birmingham ever since.
  17. FFS, we have bigger things to worry about than them.
  18. Glad he's not playing for us. I'm happy with Nile ranger.
  19. You could say that about plenty of players, TBH.
  20. There is clearly much more to this than meets the eye, IMO. More likely he's pulled a Nobby Solano.
  21. Plus Cisse having the purplest patch he's ever likely to have judging by this season.
  22. Leave of absence? Rather than ripping up a contract.
  23. No, because he's counting his money tonight.
  24. Surely our much-vaunted scouting system will have unearthed some Michu-like gems. Remy was probably just a smokescreen and we'll have the real thing in by the weekend.
