Racist bastards you lot dont know the first thing about Arabs do you, they're more likely to go to a football stadium to hurl abuse at another Arab than support him because he's a muslim

Donald Trump and FIFA bring you the World Cup 2026
aimaad22 replied to Ayatollah Hermione's topic in Newcastle Forum
No I get that but the cringefest ceremony with Trump and the ticket prices are a new level of ridiculous. Alongside other relatively smaller things that might not have been noticed everywhere, like the delayed suspension for Ronaldo. Is there a precedent for something like that? On the verge of making the game look like a complete joke at this point and noone seems to be able to do anything about it. -

You'd expect all this from Trump but what in the seven hells are Fifa doing? Making the game look like a complete joke. Human beings have become seemingly incapable of putting up decent leadership anywhere. I'd love to go still honestly just because I've never before been close to a major tournament. But it doesn't look like there's going to be many affordable options. -
When we are regularly competing for trophies and can offer the same wages. So roughly 2030 per our new CEO

Regarding Burn, his level has dropped a bit recently but its hard to blame him given how much he's been playing. He was outstanding at CB up until a couple of weeks ago. It's also a bit unreasonable to expect players to continue playing like that indefinitely at this level, he'd be bloody Maldini or Cannavaro then. But he does need a rest although he wont get it on Sunday you'd think. On Ramsdale I agree we shouldnt be spending $20M or so on him. Might be harsh given his game time but he doesnt seem to be very good at anything to me. He's better with his feet than Pope, but so would be pretty much any other keeper. He's supposed to be good at distribution but I remember quite a few balls going directly to opposition players last two games, I dunno. Joe is the biggest concern for me right now. We keep hearing about injuries so I don't know if he's become a perma crock; or now that Miggy and Longstaff are gone he's just the next most limited player technically but he's sticking out like a sore thumb. Great to see Miley doing so well and he's got to get a proper run now at some stage. Not sure whats up with Ramsey but I had high hopes for him initially, hopefully more game time will do him good as well.

Losing Tino would be a massive blow. His recent absence has just proved that, he's probably the most mobile player on the team, links everything together and provides a constant outlet, always looking for the ball. I think we'll just have to get used to this sort of thing though, the club has to put a structure in place where a quality replacement is ready to come in and the team gets on with it. At the very least you can get another silly fee of City and use it improve the squad long term. If and when we're able to be at a level close to the likes of City retaining this sort of talent will get easier but even then you'll have the likes of Real and Barca breathing down the neck for truly outstanding players. I just hope we haven't got any more seriously filthy reeking rats hiding in the squad.
