I'll be visiting Poland next month. Going to make sure I go to bed early when I'm there. So I can get up at the Krakow dawn.

I believe the only answer is they're a bunch of incompetent twats content on upholding the status quo and feeding on whatever crumbs they let fall their way from supporting the 'big club' narrative. -

Incredible really Even if the PL lets them get away with it surely will be legal challenges from other clubs. -
Hang in there Renton, that sounds terribly rough. You've got a good head on you I've no doubt you can bounce back as hard as it must be right now.

I take it CT has been venting about this in the 'what is currently wrong with you' thread? On the implications for Howe's future, I don't think it changes much. I dont think Staveley would have been able to do anything if Al Rumayyan actually decided Howe needed to be gone. We're clearly moving onto a new phase here and Howe will have to keep evolving and raising his game. It probably helps his case that there's so many apparently promising managers that have failed in this league recently in big jobs.

Wow, I think England just might be meant to win this. That's a foul but you dont usually see penalties given for that.

I loved watching him when he first came onto the scene, played great tennis chasing down everything and smashing the ball hard, also had a good sense of humor. Let it all get to his head eventually sadly. Can't argue against him as the greatest statistically. I think there's one thing about Nadal that's always worth mentioning in this discussion. He bested Federer in his absolute prime at Wimbledon when he was near untouchable. Beaten Novak on hard courts too when at his best. Those two couldn't get anywhere close to laying a finger on prime French Open Rafa though, I mean often they were ridiculously one sided affairs that you'd never associate with these games. That always stands out for me.

He's the Cristiano of tennis. Incredibly talented but ultimately failing to hide the homelander level of narcissism he suffers from. He can't understand why he doen't get the respect Federer and Nadal do despite now being more successful. Let's see; a history of faking injuries, suspicious time-outs, tantrums paired with a sense of entitlement and shady off the field antics such as the vaccine debacle and hanging out with questionable Serb politicians. He's a contemptible prick, fair enough that he's made it work for his career. But then you can't really demand that people like you for it.

Obviously a little concerning that Staveley and her husband are leaving because they've done really well in the transition period and setting the club on the right trajectory. I suppose it was always going to happen sooner or later given the investment concerns that have been mentioned already, but it would have been nice to win a trophy with them still at the club. Hopefully the setup we have now continues to work just as well. You could also be positive and think maybe PIF will ramp up things now as we move onto the next stage of the project, new deals and sponsorships kick in and Howe is backed accordingly to imrove the squad. Progress.

He sees himself as box to box midfielder rather than an outright 6 right? In that role he doesn't start over Bruno, Joe, Tonali or Willock. And even as a 6 we would probably find better value elsewhere with our limited budget. Pass

The corners, crosses from Guler have been absolutely brilliant constantly. No wonder they can't stop scoring headers.

This Yilmaz lad looks a real handful, seems to play mostly down the right from what I've seen. Works really hard too. Decent RW/3rd striker option?

Class penalties tbf.

Cracking finish. Bailed out by individuals again

Luke Shaw getting minutes before Gordon

Schar nicely involved in the build up there. Brilliant stuff

Hahah get in Swiss!

Watching some of the CF play in this Euro I'd say 150M is undervaluing Isak.

Has there ever been a more self obsessed man? Matter of time before someone injures him in training for the sake of the country

So Gemmill didn't initially appreciate puns but they've grown on him. Or maybe he's having a mid life crises and will be buying a spores car any minute.
