Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi: “I would love nothing more than to hold on to our best young players." “I gave both Karl Darlow and Jamaal Lascelles lengthy new contracts in August 2013 and March 2014 respectively, as well as investing in the futures of Jamie Paterson, Ben Osborn and Dimitar Evtimov." “I have demonstrated my keenness for the club to produce more players of Karl and Jamaal’s quality more than ever this summer, investing heavily in the facilities and supporting Stuart in his desire to integrate our youth set-up with the first team’s." “The manager and I openly discussed the proposed sale of Karl and Jamaal, and he was aware of the negotiations throughout." “The business side of football is changing, and the requirement to increase revenue means, unfortunately, difficult decisions have to be made." “As Stuart mentioned in his media interview, I have always backed him financially and that will continue." “I respect him greatly and I strongly believe together we can achieve our aims and bring success back to this great club." “Should the pair’s proposed move to Newcastle be completed as expected, the transfer fees will significantly help us meet the stringent Financial Fair Play (FFP) criteria, all the while allowing us to retain two high-quality players for the 2014-15 season, paying nothing towards their wages." “Sadly for me, there is no room for sentimentality in the running of a football club, and it is up to me to start making some tough decisions to preserve the long-term sustainability of Nottingham Forest." “But while balancing the books is a hugely significant part of my role, it remains my job to ensure the manager has the best possible squad to work with as we pursue a place in the Premier League." “Rest assured, therefore, that more additions will be made and the squad will be trimmed further to ensure we have a balanced and talented group of players in place.” “In addition to that, Stuart and I work together as a team, and not work behind each other’s backs to bring the best out of this club.”

Alan Pardew has upset Stuart Pearce by overseeing Newcastle’s acquisition of the eight and ninth recruits of the close season when they completed a joint £5m-plus deal for the much-coveted young Nottingham Forest duo Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow. The pair were immediately loaned back to the City Ground, where they will continue their development under Forest’s new manager in the Championship. "We had an offer from Newcastle, that I was made aware of last week, in regards to the two players going there," Pearce said "The figures that were mentioned, by the representative of our club - I said I would not do that deal, when I was asked the question." "I thought I could push their value up and that they would be worth more in the long run." "The first I heard today [Monday] about things was when Jamaal Lascelles came in and told me that he had a medical at 2pm at Newcastle. That disappointed me greatly." "I think I have a good relationship with the club. But obviously, for whatever reason, they have decided to take the money on this situation." "I do not agree with it. But the only olive branch I have got is that the boys are both coming back on a year loan, which is a bonus." "But I felt that, if they stayed at the club, they would only have increased in value."

Karl Darlow (GK) his teammate is also linked. Both loaned back to Notts Forest for half of the season.

Sounds like de Jong wants the team set up as 4-4-2. "The main part of my play is to see the space in the box and come as a second striker and score goals, also to get in some crosses. My best position is just behind the striker. Hopefully I can play in that position here and do the same as I did for Ajax and improve both the team and myself."

Papadopoulos has been loaned to Leverkusen. Unlucky with his injuries. Wish Charnley could of secured his move away from Schalke.

They only had eight players on the books two weeks ago. Taking the piss Mike Ashley style.

They needed a new banner to hang upside down on November 29th.

FIFA 15. Wonder why they chose Janmaat.

This beauty! Just bought this stainless steel reach-in freezer for my local food bank I help run. I also picked up (6) stainless steel shelving units. For some reason the five shelf units were cheaper than the four shelf units. Will remove one shelf from each unit if I can. Been needing improvements and after we had a visit from a health inspector we decided now was the time. A mother called and reported us because she insisted that we had fresh blood on the bottom of one of our refrigerators. Our raw meat had never even been put in the fridge in question. What she had seen was ketchup that was spilled and not properly cleaned up yet. Sadly, we had to close our doors while updating our storage area. When we re-open our doors next week we will be able to serve more families in need. We were averaging 47 families a week. Our updated goal is to be able to feed at least 70 families a week. I am still in search of at least one more refrigerator but since my budget is dwindling I think I will in the market for used models.

The SFA head of referee operations John Fleming: "The vanishing spray is a tool that can assist the referee during the game but I don't see a great need for it here in Scotland. However, I will investigate the costs and see if it is practical to bring it in."

Aye. I honestly meant to have Cabella on the left and Ben Afra on the right.

Wonder how much Rooney's weight has fluctuated over the years. Hypothetically if Happy Face made a graph I am positive it would look like a mountain range. The amount of weight in question is not even that much if you think about it. I want to see Hatem on the pitch. I am not bothered about his defensive work rate. I am more worried about the lack of a signing of a quality forward. Not taking any future transfers in mind, I would salivate at a midfield five like this. Tiote Sissoko Ben Afra de Jong Cabella

What is his average of tackles per match after the squad has lost possession? Reaction time after he has picked out the wrong pass?
