  1. Once did it for a little stretch whilst I was working much closer to home (ie not 25 miles away ), just for the exercise. Got to say it made me feel a lot better. Now I drive and feel more tired when I get to work than when I get up.
  2. Ted, if you want to get online you need a Gold membership. It's meant to be £39.99 but if you check your local Toys R Us they might have a copy of Forza Motorsport for the original Xbox, which comes with 12 months free Gold membership - it works fine on the 360 - and it's on sale for £19.99. The game actually works too, as it's on the compatibility list. That's what I did anyway.
  3. Taking popularity lessons from Graham Norton?
  4. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/i...als/5409628.stm Nice one, dickhead. How much is the license fee again?
  5. I amazed it took this long. You're slowing down tbh.
  6. That's the one, aye. Glad I didn't bother then.
  7. Can't have been troubling you that much, hope you cancelled your appointment. I've had metatarsalgia on and off for a few years now; I think it's caused by plantar fasciitis. However, I think I have found the solution - wear sensible walking shoes or boots with a good support rather than trainers. Fingers crossed I have been problem free for nearly a year now. I never had one, he just wrote the name down on a piece of paper and told me to find one. As it happens, it went off shortly after so I ignored it. Still comes back every now and then though.
  8. If you fall from height into water James-Bond-baddie-style, I always assumed it's because from great height the water's surface is akin to falling onto something hard. Is this right? From how high can you survive?
  9. No. Lack of oxygen. In fact lack of oxygen to the brain is ultimately what kills us all (apart from people who literally have their brains blown out). Aye, just read the same on this morbid yet fascinating Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drowning I never knew about the mammalian diving reflex - amazing stuff.
  10. Nice! I can't begin to imagine the feeling of running out of breath underwater and having to just 'breathe' water in. Although isn't it the CO2 poisioning that kills you first rather than the lack of oxygen?
  11. I've had a similar thing with my foot for years, though I don't know what the original cause was. No bruising, just annoying pain every once in a while. Last year I went to see the doctor about it and he sent me for an X-ray. That revealed precisely nothing, so he suggested it may be the way I walk that causes it in some way. He referred me to a specialist but I couldn't be arsed to follow it up.

The only time I heard Mills mention it was when they were running a competition related to the Ashes last summer. At one point he mentioned 'i'd love to bat for the other team' and the studio all giggled.
  14. Except when the player is Craig Bellamy - he clearly knows best tttt. [/stir]
  15. Getting him to do a loop is solid! I did it though.

  17. Is it worth buying a 360 without going online? Never did it on my original Xbox.
  18. I just did everything I needed to do. Ultra-quick tbh. Now i've got to fucking wait.
  19. I have Firefox images turned off at work (56k), so I only ever see the text - I thought that would work.
  20. What a twat! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/north_y...ire/5391370.stm
  21. I'm happy time is elapsing but it's just increasing the amount of rushing about i'll have to do before I go home. 3.30pm finishes are nice though - site rules!
