  1. Harper - couldn't be faulted for any of it - pulled off a couple of decent saves too. Beye - Solid but sadly the media will ensure his game is going to be remembered for one mistake Bassong - As above Coloccini - should never pull on a Newcastle shirt again - pure garbage. Duff - Best player on the park IMO. Particularly as he was played out of position yet again. Our lasses Dad made the observation that we have 46 registered first team players yet Duff is the only understudy to left-back that we have. How right KK was last summer. Barton - Complete prick. Had a chance to really become the hero yet became the villan on account of not being able to look past a spat with Alonso. Shame, he was playing with more heart than the rest of them put together up til that point. Butt - Knackered, needs to give it up. Smith - Shite, needs to give it up. Lovenkrands - did OK, but didn't exactly set the world alight. Viduka - Evidently not fully fit and run out of steam before the end. Shame as I think given his stature he'd link up well with a pacey striker (he won most of the balls in the air). Shame Martins isn't living up to his reputation. Martins - lazy shite who evidently can't be arsed with the club any more. We barely had a chance but a couple of times in the second half Viduka threaded a ball through the defence that Martins didn't even bother to move for. Really means a lot to him, playing for us. Gutierrez - seems to be a shadow of the prospect we saw at Old Trafford. like Lovenkrands he did OK but nothing special. Nolan - Waste of money really - seems like Smith and Butt rolled into one. Would have played Guthrie instead of him. Owen - Will be criticised again for not scoring but tbf, he's hardly getting any provision. Midfield is to blame for his goal drought as much as he is.
  2. I was sat in the Main Stand just above where our fans were and it was absolutely clear cut even from where I was that he should have been sent off. What the TV didn't show was how far and with what determination he ran towards Alonso. He'd been having a spat with him all game - was pretty obvious to me that something like this was going to happen. Sad thing was, up until that point he was probably our best player.
  3. None at all in F1 but his legacy has been the improved safety since his death. HANS, high cockpit sides & wheel tethers have all been introduced since 1994. That said, at the time of his death the sport had gone 8 years since a fatality and 12 years since one at a race meeting. No doubt it will happen again at some point in the future, but none will ever have as high an impact as Ayrton's. Most people compare the loss of Jim Clark but, although one of the most talented drivers of all time, Clark was killed in an F2 race which had very media coverage. I remember reading that, until the second plane hit the WTC, Senna's death was the most 'publically witnessed' of all time.
  4. Aye, pretty much how I saw it. It's weird though, I had a sense of foreboding (probably because of the death of Ratzenberger the day before). We were due to go out somewhere, forget where now but I said I had to watch the GP for some reason. The accident itself was a glancing blow and had it not been for the freakish way the wheel was pushed between the wall and his head, he would have walked away from it. Saying all that, I thought he was dead from the minute the marshalls looked at and backed off. In other incidents at that time (and since really), they're almost in the face of the driver. One bloke crouched down, looked at him, backed off and told the flag marshall to wave a red instead of a yellow.
  5. That film was first talked about years ago - think they were on about Antonio Banderas playing Senna... BBC did a tribute programme on him back in 1995 and they've linked it onto their website HERE Well worth a look Thanks Craig, I'll take a look. This is what i read yesterday... http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/04/29...ts-green-light/ Keep tabs on it here.... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1424432/

Fucking sad state of affairs if you rely on your footwear to attract your women though KD You dont know much about women then. Shoes are one of the first things they check out man. First and last in your case! s'okay Jonny, I have a lass ... I just don't find the need to broadcast that I can pull someone unlike you... Oh aye, and she quite likes the trainers FWIW. 11. You bought a lumberjack coat so I guess it's a draw. He wins man, he's got an 'above average sized cock'
  12. Aye I know - was thinking that myself. I only found these because I'd seen the heineken ones and they mentioned they'd done a brown ale pair. Heineken pair does indeed had a red star on the outside of the heel. It takes something out of the ordinary for 2J to buy something other than adidas as well Was actually shocked when he told me he'd got them like...

  14. Actually I'm laughing at you trying to make something of it. Given what you've just quoted, you evidently buy stuff to impress others...
  15. Horrendous IYO. Fish for the record hasn't said he likes them - only one other person has. Quite frankly I couldn't give a fuck what you think - your purchases hardly have many on here salivating... Poor attempt at ridicule - 3/10
  16. Apparently I don't... but don't let that destroy your argument, will you? We're not worthy.....
  17. What's cracking me up BTW is he's trying (in the loosest sense of the word) to ridicule me by suggesting I'd never pull wearing them.... Fucking hell man, I'm buying them because I like them - not so some lass can get her tits sweaty at the thought of them!
  18. closely followed by private number plates on your car...
  19. Hmmmm - I take what they say with a pinch of salt tbh

  22. The first pre-season game at SJP has been announced - but United won't be participating, as the stadium hosts a replay of the Italia 1990 England v Germany game. Players from the original game in Turin will be joined by other football personalities and celebrity ringers, with the Sir Bobby Robson Trophy up for grabs. The kickabout is scheduled for Sunday July 26th and all monies raise will go to benefit the work of the cancer research unit at Newcastle's Freeman Hospital of which the former Newcastle and England boss is patron. Kickoff is @ 6.15pm and tickets are on sale now priced £10 adults, £5 bairns online here More details at: www.sirbobbyrobsonfoundation.co.uk
