Kind of nutter who scores on debut as well. Echoes of Paul Bracewell then ...... I hope Some goal that was mind. Damned fucking right. Seemed to remember having a premonition that it was going to be 'our season' the minute that ripped into the net.

BBC reporting that it's as good as a done deal now as well. So that's the no.4 shirt filled then?
-
Charlie has massively over-reacted whether Kinnear was right or wrong. I think this is more akin to him not liking JFK and looking for a way out. Pathetic really.
-
They aren't sandals and socks. Its a pair of Fly trainers isn't it? You can see the laces. Edit: Mind you, I wouldn't wear them with that shirt/tie/jumper/shorts combo lol Either way... I much prefer my blue adidas boots...

I'm not happy!!!
-
Having just watched the clip, I don't see what Charlie's problem is. Complete slip of the tongue IMO which he tried to correct and then eventually called him "Charlie" Christ, is Martins going to walk out on account of being called "Obi"?
-
N'Zogbia needs to fucking get over himself if he's going to walk out on a club over something as purile as that. Smacks of the kid in the corner at school, bawling his eyes out because someone called him names. You're not that fucking good Charles - someone would have bid for you if you were.
-
If it's true, he'll do to Clark what Venables did to Robson at Boro - i.e. effectively take over. Shouldn't concern us either way though, people need to accept that Keegan won't be coming back here.
-
Pompey & West Brom and one of either Stoke or us for the 3rd one. At the moment, I can't see us staying up - the next 4 days will confirm either way. Fucking hell, the previous 28 should have done too!
-
Alex is right.... doesn't stop Baggio being a cunt for saying it though...

BBC Ticker is reporting....

What's wrong with my judgement like? He's a decent, mid-table keeper - no more and IMO inferior the majority of first choice keepers in the Premiership. At present, I think Given is the best there is (over the years I've challenged that claim when it's been made by others). His true value to us will be shown when he leaves and we really will start to freefall. Pissing off Shay will prove to be Ashley's costliest mistake ever IMO.
-
Whilst he's been a fantastic servant to the club, I don't rate Harper that highly if I'm honest and have serious concerns. Goalkeeper was the one position we were rock solid in. I dread to think the amount of points that Shay has earned us over the years (the past 5 in particular). Him leaving could well be the plug being removed from the Premiership bath. I seriously doubt we'll avoid relegation now.
-
Given what he's had at his disposal, he's done about as good as he can. The only thing about him that really pisses me off is him opening his trap too much. He's not the problem, it's the structure above him and I don't think it matters who is in the hotseat at the moment
-
Decent keeper - no Shay Given though...
-
Before Woodgate, I'd believe that.... Who are we trying to kid, there's fuck all wrong with him.
-
A knee injury?? FFS - will they just stop fucking lying to us?

I'm gutted man. Excuse my ignorance of NUFC in the 80s, and correct me if i'm wrong - but that money was never re-invested properly into the team was it? We'll be getting £20m ish from Milner and Given and seeing absolutely fuck all from it. Fuming. Depends on your definition of 're-invested properly' I guess. The money we got for Gazza brought in 4 players - on paper you'd consider that to be good business. In reality, 2 of that 4 (Robertson & Beasant) absolutely flopped, the brightest of the 4 (Hendrie) couldn't save us from relegation on his own and jumped ship to the better prospect of Leeds when we got relegated and Andy Thorn just wasn't good enough IMO. I don't think we'll see any more than £8m for Given and that's without any players coming the other way. Yes, he's worth more to us and we should be demanding a better deal but this is Ashley & Wise we're talking about. They'll see it simply as good money for a 32 year old and a reduction on the wages overhead. Sad really.... but if you put yourself in their shoes for a moment, you know damned well they'll accept it
-
agree totally. Worst sale since Goddard IMO
-
quite pathetic that the last time he attended a game, Keegan was manager. 5 months ago man.... and this is "the club he loves"....
-
The golden rule is if they're here they're shit. Bassong? Even a broken clock is right twice a day man Jonny... the little cunt got lucky with Bassong.

Rumour this morning is that we've approached them to take him on loan for the rest of the season. Do they honestly think Celtic are going to let their captain go out on loan?
