Wondered when you'd show up..... How about these then? http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...st&p=160357 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...st&p=159846 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...st&p=139585 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...st&p=129046 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...st&p=128919 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...st&p=120710 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...st&p=120649 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...st&p=102502 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...ost&p=88968 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...ost&p=88067 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...ost&p=40347 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...ost&p=40344 http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...ost&p=28711 Seems to me that you constantly go on about us going on about you not drinking

That'll be because Luque never gets a run out so you're not able to compare. Give the fella a chance IMO, he can't do worse than Pattison last night..

Go........please! (yes I know I should take things from fansfc with a pinch of salt) I thought it was going to be Given when I saw the word 'star'.
-
I would absolutely shit myself I'd be very surprised if she didn't!

Was that the Ian Woan game?

Kind of aye, in a round about way. Basically 9 times out of 10 the best Birmingham would escape SJP with would be a narrow win or a draw, we'd beat them more often than not and 90% of our team most certainly wouldn't all have shockers all at the same time in one match. Hence freak result. BTW I think that was our worst ever home FA Cup defeat and only the first time we've lost at home in the FA Cup for 10 or so years which proves my point, these defeats are rare, although for our club expected as we are famous for going from one extreme to another. It now wouldn't surprise me if the same team tonked West Ham (I doubt it will happen but if it does, I won't be surprised, that's us lot all over). The only comparable to me is 1992 against Bournemouth... Nah we played alright against Bournemouth, Efan Ekoku was their only real threat, Randy Cunt scored a great goal near the end, just someone forgot to tell Liam O'Brien that the goal was actually 80 feet beneath the scoreboard. Not even remotely comparable with last night. I believe it was the worst in our history (home) post war, and maybe second ever after 1-9 against the mackems. Aye we didn't play bad that night - didn't see a great deal as I was stood in the fog in the Leazes End and all the action was down in the other goal. Think it was the cold, dank, miserable atmosphere which made it feel worse. Plus the fact that we were staring Division Three in the face!

One player? Is that it??

Only I wasn't there last night!

"Our recent record shows we can be trusted to deliver quality players. I'm not going to say too much at this stage but I think the fans will be pleasantly surprised at what results from the Woodgate deal. We didn't go into the Woodgate transfer without a long-term plan. All will be revealed soon." And the link:

How lucky can we get, playing against Davenport two league games in a row! He must be having nightmares about Oba!
-
4-4 v Troyes - we got a handy 1-1 draw in France to come back and capitulate. Sure we got it back to 4-4 but it might as well have stayed at 1-4 for the good the away goals did us.
-
Well yeah, I don't expect us to get tonked by West Ham on Saturday by a similar amount if that's what you mean.
-
Rubbish - if we'd battered them and they'd won 5-1 then I'd agree with you, we lost because we were absolute dogshit and totally outplayed but a team in a division below us. That wasn't a freak result, it was deserved. EDIT: just realised i've echo'd Mr Bass' comments almost word for word

Yoy sure someone hasn't already? Surely no one is born looking like that?

With the exception of last night's game, I was at every single one of those... I'd also add: 6. Newcastle 1 Liverpool 4 87/88 - Petrified of Barnes, Beardsley & Aldridge we forgot all about Steve Nicol who ended up with a hat-trick
-
What I found bizarre was I was watching the Man Utd 5-0 game the other night on ESPN classics and the atmosphere was awesome. Last night's match was as though it was at another place altogether. Don't think I've ever heard it as quiet

The Human Slingshot!

Certainly agree with you about Sibi & Pattison but I think Dyer was our best player in the first half by a country mile (nowt to brag about, I know...) Dyer, Martins, Milner & Given put in some effort - there rest were pure shite!

My ticket's still sat on the kitchen bench. I'm gonna frame it to commemorate one of the most inspired decisions of my life. A more inspired decision would have been to cancel the direct debit before they took your cash for it shirley? Direct debit cancelled now. Fat lot of good now we're out of the cup like! (Or are you under the illusion that we'll get much further in the UEFA? )
-
Rossi has gone off to Parma on loan - at least we won't get embarrassed by him scoring against us for someone else this season i s'pose...

Wasn't that Fulham?

TBQH I don't think it matters who was managing us tonight, they would still have had to pick the same players. One thing Lawrenson said early on which was spot on was that the majority (if not all) of the kids had their minds still at White Hart Lane. We're injury ravaged and while that is no excuse in terms of the pitiful size of our squad (Shepherd/Souness largely to blame for that one), a manager can only do so much with what he has to hand.
