I never said he was. Lampard is more consistent though. Gerrard at his best (like the first half of this season) is awesome. Gerrard is more versatile too. I think Gerrard lets himself down sometimes when he plays (for England in particular) as he tries to play too many killer balls and gives possession away too cheaply. He gets away with it in the Premier League but against international teams you might have to wait 5 minutes to get the ball back when you give it away. I'm all for playing them both for England though with a Carrick type player sitting in. They said on TalkSport last night during the Chelsea match that it could be the last game for some of their players.. I'd certainly try them for Gudjohnsen and Bridge and if I wasn't convinced that Robben was on his way to Spurs, I'd look at him too.
