That's what I was thinking last night Dr Ken - regardless of what happens to Hammond, I can't see the BBC allowing the crazy stuff they got up to be aired any longer. Well that's promising.... Was hopeful that it might not be as bad as they said he regained conciousness when he got to hospital. The more details that come through, the more grave the situation it seems - hope this is a sign that things are looking better though.

They've just said on the BBC News that the remains of the car was in 'many pieces' all over the runway. Sky News suggesting that the parachute which they use to slow down such high-powered vehicles may have failed to deploy...

How do you "deal" with a car flipping at 280mph? Whether it was Schumacher, Hammond or me driving it, we're all going to sustain horrific injuries. This is going to sound really morbid and horrible but a friend of mine was knocked down by a car and hit the back of her head on a lamp-post. The force was enough to leave her brain-dead and she ended up having her life-support switched off after a week. Fuck only knows what kind of trauma Hammond has sustained in this accident. That's what's really concerning. It's not so much the crash, but the trauma the body goes through as part of the deceleration process. I hate to consider the G forces he's undergone!

I was often 'clipped' by my Dad, deservedly so most of the time although sometimes I felt it was a bit over the top but I thought from an early age that there has to be a better way of disciplining and teaching respect and so far, I've never come close to even wanting to raise my hand to them.

Patrokles: Sorry, the only time limit I can set is on the abilty to edit the post (e.g. if it is less than 3 minutes since you posted you'd be able to edit it whereas if it is more than 3, you wouldn't. Laz - it is the same font, but it's a smaller pitch. I've just had a go at editting the php file which renders the line to see if I could change the colour of the font for that line but I haven't cracked it yet - will keep on though...

He'll soon get them back anyway - J69 knows EVERYONE in C-L-S man....
