speaking of which.... Does 'The Information Minister' website still work?? Think there's scope to make a couple up....
-
Canny aye, not bad. Back to work tomorrow, been sulking in the house after the game. Aint posted anywhere for an age. Came here and tried to sign in thinking the old logins would be up still. Man, it has been a while. I went to post on N.O. but then looked and thought, heck, I dont even know anyone. So I nipped over here to see if this place still held you lot in and sure enough. 73036 Most of them weren't born the last time you posted on the net tbh.... * that'll have rung the bells over there, no doubt we'll have an influx of 'guests'..

They reported on TalkSport this evening that Owen was booked in for the operation to pin his metatarsal in Manchester tomorrow. The aim is to get him back earlier... I just hope to fuck, they don't follow other examples this season and rush him back too soon...
-
OMG - JawD, is that really you? Some people thought you'd croaked it mate - how's tricks?
-
Yep, but as the 3 Reading fans I work with and the 2 I live nearby (all season ticket holders) have said, Reading aren't ready for the Premiership and unless they pull off a stunt like Wigan have managed, you'll be free-falling back into the Championship 9 months after the season begins.

Luque can't possibly be better up front than on the wing. He's a winger, not a striker...
-
Sadly no... I was too busy pissing myself laughing It was all the more sweeter as it happened less than 30 seconds after his "can't wait for the boos" comment... What a twat that bloke really is!
-
No he wasn't, he was going on about the merits of swapping Ameobi and Luque's positions for a couple of minutes, or have I just been whooshed by Celebrity Fat Club? 72984 He was questioning Souness playing Ameobi as a winger when we had Luque on the pitch who is a natural left footer. The Albert Trotter comment was from a caller, not Sumo. 72985 That's something Alvin Martin mentioned during the summarising of the first half. He said he couldn't understand Souness's decision behind it and said that the fans would be up in arms if it went tits up...
-
We were in a far more depressing position in the Januarys of 1989 and 1992 IMO.
-
They were talking about Murray's post match conference on Talksport. Mick Quinn simply replied "He's deluded!" And he's right! As for Souness, what IS his problem? Every week that goes by when he doesn't talk, he simply seems more arrogant and more cowardly... Does he not realise that the media and, more importantly, the fans would have slightly more respect for the man if he actually spoke to the press rather than send his 'yes' man out.. Personally I don't give a shit about what Alan Murray thinks, I want to know what the man who's supposed to be managing us has to say!

The fact that we've stolen a point means little to me (as it'll keep that muppet in a job), but to hear Slaven crying into his microphone was poetic!!
-
Whilst I appreciate your concerns, given the lack of quality in the fit players he has and the ridiculous amount of people unavailable, I'd frankly be concerned if we weren't looking to bring new faces in. The prospects of how shite they may be are of concern though..
-
And now Slaven is crying.... "No way, no way, I can't believe it!!"
-
Bernie Slaven : "Can't wait to hear the boos" Fuck off you cunt!!
-
Talksport said earlier that Boro's possession was 74%. Personally I think that's a bit hard on Boro!
-
Bye Bye Graeme... Take your shite backroom staff with you!
-
Could we actually bring back Robert though? By which I mean wasn't it part of the contract that we can't recall him, and does he actually want to come back? I'm refrain from commenting on your point about Luque by the way. 72888 I'm surprised he hasn't mentioned the 'B' word tbh..
-
Think yourself lucky, I'm listening to Century - Bernie Slaven is on and the bias is, as ever, ridiculous.... I really think for games like this, they should have impartial summurisers... 72920 Lowes has just suggested that a draw would be a decent result though! Lowes to do Souness' post-match interviews from now on? 72922 Slaven has just suggested that a draw would be disastrous for Boro... (I know, I know.... he's right.)

That line-up really scares the fuck out of me..
-
I fear for the coming months, I really do... 72800 Exactly how I felt at least 12 months ago. Nice to know you can finally see reality. 72824 My opinions of Souness haven't changed a bit in the last 12 months.

Cheers peeps... Was listening to 'Wires' by Athlete today and despie the fact that I've heard that tune so many times, I actually paid close attention to the lyrics for the first time.... The coincidence to what I've experienced this last week was bizzare.. PS - Dr Ken, I'll let you off with the typo seeing as it was early on NYD!
-
I think you've stumbled on about 75% of the problem. the other 25% I'd simply put down to lack of service - something Owen was also suffering yesterday in the first half. You can't expect any striker to do the business if the service from the midfield is absolute shite. Some of them simply don't look interested. Nobody could say for sure, but if you stuck him in a decent team (Chelsea, Liverpool, etc.), he could well be prolific.

Think the following line served up by .COM speaks volumes... I fear for the coming months, I really do...
-
Cheers peeps. Just to note he came home today and is a lot better. Little monkey woke up for a feed on the chimes of Big Ben as well. Happy New Year to all!
