Unfortunately not. Actually we're thankful it's in his arm - I have heard reports that some young kids get them in their skull! Then bit I forgot to mention is that he actually has a splint on that arm as well to make it straight - at the end of the day, it's a needle sitting in his vein - if he bends the vein, I wouldn't even want to begin to contemplate the mess it'd make.
-
Nope, he's got a cannular in there for drugs administration. As he's only 10 weeks old, he's no idea what it is and would most likely flail his arms around and in the process rip it out. So what they've done is bandage his arm up so that its protected. Thing is, he's been scratching his chin with the plastic of the cannular so they've temporarly had to bandage over that as well. It makes changing his bodysuit fun and games, I can tell you!

Thats one point of view. On the other hand Charlton are even more shit than us at the moment. 71860 Indeed they are. However, it gives us more chance and time to prepare for the trip to Spurs - something which I presume Mr Souness will be (quietly) happy about...
-
You'd do well to actually read what I've typed Not once did I say I'm happy with what's going on and if you look carefully you'll see that I said Everton technically were in the CL - indeed the same position we were in in one of the seasons you mention...

Talksport are saying that it was the club's safety officer who called it off (personally I thought only the referee or the police had the authority to do so). If I was a sceptic, taking into account how vocifierous Souness was about the fixture congestion was, I'd be wondering how much influence the team management had on the decision..

No real improvement I'm afraid. They took the oxygen off him today but his sats dropped to 85% so he's got it back again. They're continuing to control his feeding as the mucus that the milk produces makes him worse so he's getting 50ml of milk every 2 hours. He's demanding more than that so the bottom line is that we're effectively starving the poor mite for his own good. That in itself is breaking my heart.... Couple of pics I snapped today:

I wouldn't swap with those teams either. Craig, it's not the position we're in per se, it's the abject performances for over a year now. A team can't keep playing like that and there is no sign of improvement. 71743 Fair enough, I was making the point that things could be worse - I conceed that it doesn't necessarily excuse everything wrong with the club. I'm as pissed off as anyone that we appear to be slipping. BTW, can I just point out to Super7 that Everton finished 4th last season and were technically in the Champions League?

In sheer football terms perhaps it is shite but for as far as how I feel about the team ive loved for 40 years it is the most depressed and demotivated ive ever been. This is because of Souness, trot out all the excuses I just hate the bloke and the football I am having to endure after my expectations were (falsly) raised by the last 10 years of actually having a team to be proud of. 71727 I can see that on a personal level you might think that PC, but I've been following this club for almost 25 years and with all due respect, in the time I've followed them we've had worse situations....a lot, lot worse. And I'd go so far to say that we've had people worse than Souness ruin the club in that time... And that's not me defending him in any way.

An F-14 is actually called a Tomcat - although they were featured in the film Top Gun

Sorry for being a pedant, but you can't exactly answer yes or no to that question, can you? Digressing, if that guarantee was in place, I'd still want us to win, and before you make any comment, that is nothing to do with wanting to keep Souness as manager - it's because come kick off time, the only thing I want is for us to come out of the game with 3 points, regardless of who is in charge. If by that comment you choose to believe that I am in some how in favour of Souness (I'm most certainly not!) then go ahead, believe that. The ultimate priority and what takes precedence over everything else is that this club wins games, NOT that Souness is replaced.

The fact of the matter is, we're not actually in a terrible place - the thing is, we're far inferior to where we'd like to be, should be and, lets face it, to where some of us have become acustomed. Things have been a lot worse before, and they may well will be again. I certainly wouldn't swap our predicament for that of Sunderland, Birmingham, Everton or Portsmouth - that's for sure.

Is that a blue Fiesta parked over the road?

Cheers guys, I know there's not a lot you can do from the other end of a network link, but the offer is very much appreciated. Have changed the title of the thread as the xmas side of it was only minor...

Different areas are updated at different times. My brother's place is on there with his old car in the drive and the garage he had knocked down 3½ years ago! They keep expanding the detailed areas. And yes Pud, I had seen where it reckons Gateshead is. Perhaps that's why Sammy has been getting confused

Amazing how the goalposts can keep changing. They've now confirmed that he has both conditions (Pneumonia & Bronchiolitis) hence why the confusion in the symptoms. Poor little fella's sats dropped to 85% so is now having Oxygen piped up his nose. No real improvement today, but thankfully no real deterioration either. Ritchie, thanks for the kind words in the text - they mean a lot...
-
Cheers Cath, Just been on the blower, he temp is as high as ever and they've both had a tough night but at least he's on anti-biotics. Had it been the bronchiolitis, it would have been viral and therefore only treatable by Calpol....

Meaning that IMO it's more than likely this club would have signed Jean-Alain Boumsong last January regardless of who was in charge. As for the price, well I'm afraid we were held to ransom by Rangers on that one. We needed a central defender and in reality, there wasn't much choice and arguably he was one of the better prospects available. My point is, I don't think it was a Souness signing - I think he was told that signing J-A-B in January was something that was going to happen. Purely my opinion though...

I can't fucking wait for this year to end... The missus has just phoned me from the hospital in tears - they took him for a chest x-ray at 10pm and they've just confimed that he's got Pneumonia. Feeling pretty fucking useless at the moment - in one respect I want to be there looking after the pair of them, on the other hand I've got a 3 year old who doesn't understand what's going on and needs to be shielded from it all.... And that's before I even think about my emotions... Thanks again peeps - I really appreciate what you say
