Well done Niall and Biffa. Nail on head and a tear in my eye.

Targett was injured for a lot of last season and when he came back, they didn't want to unsettle defence so he didn't really get a look in. He's had a full pre season under his belt so provided he stays fit then I can see him getting starts this year. He did well for us when he came so I don't see any reason why he can't do it again. We've got Burn, and Ritchie and Dummett at LB if we're desperate. A LB or RCB would be nice to have as would another young striker or RW.

I genuinely hadn't seen one. I don't follow all of them so expected to see them pop up on maxi's farewell post.
-
I've seen nothing from any of them so maybe you've got a point. Usually you see them messaging each other on twitter or Insta but not one of the current squad has written anything on socials as far as I can see

He's worth more than $30m without a doubt. Ornstein said it was $ not €

Nah sorry Wykiki, he was outstanding at times, frustrating at others. He gave hope when we were absolutely shit and he was entertaining when everyone else was Bruced. He clearly loved being the big fish in the little pond but then the pond got bigger. Wish him well wherever he goes.

That ball for Miggys goal was absolute class. Only working off the highlights and .coms account of the game but sounds like AG was again the standout performer.
-
Agree with Gloom, Miggy is tried and tested and by and large, did the job last season. He was in a purple patch when everything he did turned to goals but even over a season it was an impressive return. I still think he will be decent this year, but we do need options. Last year's option was Murphy around 75 minutes.

I'm pumped for it but it's fruity language for an Amazon trailer. Fuck has definitely been dumbed down to the lowest form.

🤣 Failed the attitude test right there.
-
Sad to see him go, but he was a right workie ticket at times. Thanks and see you Long Time Admirer.

Not sure Maxi deserves all these comparisons to Barnes and journalists weighing in on the debate. When Isak came in, there were no head to head comparisons to anyone else yet it seems that we have to convince ourselves (and the maxi fanboys) we are getting a better deal. He hasn't left yet so it seems premature to talk about an upgrade if all that does is de-stabilise dressing room harmony.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

It's not the first time this thing has been levelled at Wraith. It was all over Twitter last week. -
£30m for Livramento? There must be a lot of clauses and condition in that.
-
Do us all a favour when Maxi goes...
-
So the club has told Keith to push that out because they've got some other CB on the hook and they're asking questions about this Disasi kid.
-
£40m for ASM is a realistic transfer for any club. If the Saudis were willing to break transfer records for him it would be stinking but given what they've already paid for players in the twilight of their careers I'd be actually telling them to fuck off.
-
Good on him, can't fault his application.

Cheers Wykiki, I've seen KLs tweets but I've never looked at his substack. He posts some interesting stuff so I'll keep an eye on this from now on.

If only we could rid ourselves of the dickheads on Twitter who seem to know who we are in for, what we have been quoted for players and who we should be buying. I go on there to look at some of the more credible accounts but within 60 seconds, I find the anger inside me as another arsehole denigrates the current squad and wants the transfer fairy to beat everyone to their target.

What, suggesting a move to us is bigger than a sidestep? Their league is suffering but they still have quality sides competing in the Champs League. We are still at the early phase of development so it takes time to build a brand and have other fans notice your work. Hopefully that will change for us on the biggest stage. Eddie's status still growing too.
