  1. Nail on head there. If we are supposedly going to be better organised, then transfer targets will have been set out and the offers, however derisory will have been made. It hasnt come off and now we are looking at another list and it seems like we are struggling even to get those. The fact of the matter is that we are short in most departments, particularly defence which most concerns me.
  2. So in the first thread he types "I know 4 players WE are after" then goes on to say that he's not a Geordie and tells us to fuck off? Wait until his dinnerbreak and he'll be back on here.
  3. so its shit then This place used to be a hive of activity but seems that its been quiet for over 6 months now, even during the season.
  4. Im interested in finding out whats going on over at Newcastle Online however theres no way I can join as I dont know my ISP email addy or password. Who runs the show over there and is there any way to contact them?? It just always seems a bit dead over here on the football side of things so wanted to see what shit they were making up over there.
  5. not prepared to judge anyone until theyre wearing the Black & White.
  6. At least the Scandinavians can stick the weather up here and dont moan about it being too cold.

  8. Thats just the thing that makes the reactions and comments funny though, If we had signed a player from the premiership who we knew about (E.g Lennon) then im sure a lot would be picking up on the negative sides of his game. Im sure there would be quite a few cautious posts however because no one even knows how the guy plays, everyone is full of blind optimism Superb.
  9. Anyone know if we've been linked with him already this summer?
  10. No club can compete on £30k a week
  11. Mattock is supposed to be quite a prospect. I love how Colin Richards is bigging himself up yet Mcghee is bad mouthing him
  12. The thing is, we are in no position geographically or competitively where we can offer low wages to good players to tempt them to come. It is a fact of todays market that if we are to tempt players away from London based clubs, we need to offer them something in return for not being in the capital. As we cannot offer European football, we need to tempt them with cash otherwise we are going to see bid after bid turned down. Unless this is an exercise to stop agents trying to squeeze silly money out of us, I can see it being another long season ahead
  13. Another Dyer in that he has pace but no end product?
  14. It was plain to see that after Turkey & Russia got through to the semis that their value has suddenly shot up. All on the back of 1 match.
  15. I left for uni in 2001, and the board was up and running before that, a long way before. I would estimate somewhere round late 99/early 2000 that I first started using the original site.
  16. Dont blame him, doesnt need the cash, cushy number watching football and giving an opinion and still picking up a wad. Private life pretty much left alone and plenty of time for social and family
  17. Bresciano, Barnes, Wright Phillips & a Striker (Dont know much about Arshavin)
  18. Ive always thought it would be good to have teams with some backing back in the prem. The likes of Forest, Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd & Leeds will always have good support. I would have said Coventry but they had very poor attendances when they were up in the top division.
  19. If Chelsea go through, whats the odds of them LOSING in Russia? Not likely
  20. Tough one this as I despise both clubs, however think i'd rather Man Utd won the title rather than Chelsea. We can have a hand in what happens and lets hope we can hold Chelsea at our place, or even have a go at beating them.
  21. Finished as a player, career wrecked by injury. Still bet he has a tasty bank balance though
  22. Viduka was one of the highlights for me. Great control. Should have pulled the trigger when through on goal. Martins was a different player second half, seemed to be finding space although think Brum got a bit complacent and started pushing up creating space behind their midfield. One thing that certainly needs to be addressed is passing. First half, our completion rate must have been about 20% absolutely woeful for a so called professional outfit.
