  1. Coppell never liked him, even when he first arrived as manager. A complete chav and a twat off the field, but still tries hard on the pitch and can hit the target. Been in and out of the team so much it really affected his game mind. Played really well in one game and had his name chanted by the home crowd only to be in the reserves for the next. Definitely worth signing him on a free and see how he performs under a new manager. Definitely had a promising spell when he was loaned to Norwich. Always seemed a prolific scorer a bit like defoe? though maybe better with his head. Would he move north do you think?
  2. Good striker at Championship level. Seems to have turned into a cheating little shite mind. A few affordable players who would do well in a Championship side: Leroy Lita - Always liked him as a player, skillful and unpredictable. Available on a free as well, so would be a relatively cheap addition to add some depth up top. Andre Bikey - Complete nutter, but great with the ball, and very versatile. Absolute beast of a man though, which is good in that division. Jay Bothroyd - Link up play is good, big lad and causes problems for the defense. Pacey players play off him well, and he chips in with a goal or two. Arron Davies - Winger who plays for Forest. Always been impressed when I've seen him play; really skillful and just looks too good for the team around him. Seems to be a bit injury-prone mind. Brock what happened to Lita? I know there was some personal stuff is he a tosser or ok?
  3. Duff and Enrique? £120k+ p/w for 2 players when we're in the Championship? Doubt it like. Can't see any of the players who earn mental money to be here next season - don't know what enrique is on but duff has got to be on his way out - would go for Lita on a free like
  4. Did you see when he tried to turn on the edge of the box down the Leazes End, the Pride of Dover turns quicker than that. Been saying that for a while - don't think i have ever seen a professional athlete with worse balance than him
  5. Symptomatic of the club as a whole really. Run like a joke with Kinnear at the helm and the players doing what the fuck they liked etc., etc. You would have liked to think Owen could have given us something which might have helped keep us up in the last few games though. Being unable or unwilling to turn things round on the pitch is, as you say, symptomatic of what has been wrong all season but last week , of all weeks , when there was a glimmer of hope on the back of the boro result and a real atmosphere of hope building ,to see his face like a slapped arse at the shirt signing was a really depressing sight and must rub off on the other members of the squad. Not going overboard on him just something that riled me.
  6. I don't blame Owen for our failings that would be ridiculous but i find his obvious indifference highly irritating.
  7. Would it? What are these bust-up rumours btw? The guy on one of the local radio stations made mention of it yesterday morning - might be shite, obviously we will never know but to me his body language and demeanour on and off the pitch smacks of someone marking time - i don't have an axe to grind with him more than any other player but he genuinely has the appearance of someone who is desperate to be anywhere else
  8. Rumours of a fall out between Owen and Shearer seem to have foundation - the only relegation bonus for me is knowing that little cunt won't ever play for us again - was watching the new shirt launch the other day and if ever a bloke looked like he did not want to be there it was Owen - face like a smacked arse - disgraceful - would be typical of that wanker to spit his dummy out on the eve of our biggest game
  9. If the worst happens then i reckon all saleable assets will go - or try to be shifted on - and a rigid pay structure adhered to - possibly get some free transfers in but it will have to be clever management that gets us back up - unless of course something wonderful happen at boardroom level
  10. He would be a great addition, should try to make a bid at £4m or so. 12 is silly ofc Nah he's shite and wouldn't come here anyway, i think someone maybe on the wind up Zokora's not shit, he's limited. But with extreme qualities in his physical play. He's already stated that he'd consider a move away from Tottenham as he doesnt want to sit on the bench in a World Cup year. Agree that the Spurs fan is on a wind up though. Great, exactly what we need - another limited midfield player - he is poor but covers alot of ground therefore covering alot of his positional weakness, however, he is not getting any younger and as his stamina declines it will merely expose his frailties
  11. He's not daft shearer like - was thinking the same then watched the interview - ref will obviously receive congrats from his peers for restoring the balance but how many challenges worse than that go unpunished - fuckin ridiculous
  12. He would be a great addition, should try to make a bid at £4m or so. 12 is silly ofc Nah he's shite and wouldn't come here anyway, i think someone maybe on the wind up
  13. Aye, but would we have got an extra point with him playing for us this season? £12m?, he may well cost us a LOT more than that all told. I agree that in the long run keeping Milner would have been the best option. Its almost a given that he would have had more goals and assists than Jonas, it wouldnt be hard would it. I really wish we had kept hold of Faye, him and Bassong together would have been awesome IMO. Charles N'Zogbia and James Milner.. would have brought us at least 4points iyam So true - the delivery is none existent from wide areas - charlies quality was up and down and milner was only occasionally decent but the likes of guthrie, guttierez and r.taylor should hand there heads in fuckin shame
  14. It's not always about money, but buying smart. How much have Fulham spent? If one buy only £10m players then 20 isnt much that is true. If one know the kind of player one need and do ones scouting then it is very doable to build a balanced and decent side within a likely budget. Does that statement come in english aswell?
  15. When the going gets tough and all that (isn't that the same as Oba's injury)
  16. Thoroughly enjoyed that film - watched Transsiberian last week - was really good - maybe lacked the grand finale but i like those sort of tense thrillers that make you think rather than jump
  17. Such a shame- not -that'll keep them off here for a while
  18. I am not sure Bassong will get an offer from somewhere like Arsenal if only because the general consensus in both the media and beyond the walls of the club is that all newcastle defenders, past and present, are shite and should be laughed at - it may be wishful thinking on my behalf but if last night doesn't endear him to the club not much will
  19. Agree with that like - when he drops the he-man act he does look good - could be wrong but maybe we have the beginnings of a good CB partnership - very young but can only get better as time goes on
  20. We need to jump all over Danny Murphy early on - he makes them tick and all their pacy players feed from him - they are a good unit and the likes of Kamara and that other foreigner who i can't think of his name right now look a handful as does their preferred pairing of johnson and Zamora - if we can get at them early we may be alright but we looked vulnerable to counter attacks last night and they certainly have the players to capitalize on that weakness
  21. His injury has caused him to lose his explosive pace and without that he is very average - i would have gone with lovenkrandts anyway - better finisher but lacks martins physical prescence
  22. When he got raped by fuller in the stoke match was when i arrived at the conclusion he was crap - I think he ran Nolan close to 'slowest turning circle of the year' award but kevin just nicks it for me (consistently slower than a fully laden coal barge)
  23. Shearer has been talking about Lovenkrandts this week so hopefully he might stick him in instead of martins
