That's a bit harsh, I'd get rid of Alan Murray, Dean Saunders, Terry McDermott and Paul Winsper for certain. Totally agree, the game on saturday will feel like a great weight has been lifted from everyone and the atmosphere should help lift the players. I've never thought Roeder was terrible as some people seem to. I think he'll be a solid if unspectacular coach and that is in a different league to Souness if nothign else.

It was always going to be likely they'd go with Roeder and Shearer and thats sensible until they see who's available, who will come and who won't. With the players we have anyone (other than Souness) can at the very least keep the team up, so there is no worries of relegation. And who knows we may even see the team actually attack every now and then!

People can't criticise fans for mindlessley backing Souness and then do the same with Fat Fred. Fred chose to hire Souness, he chose to pay Blackburn for him, he chose to give him a great big long contract and he chose to keep him on time and again when he had to be sacked. I don't give a shit if he has given money to managers, the series of mistakes over Souness is unforgivable and as bad as anything Souness did. If one of them is indefensible so is the other.

Good to hear Micky Quinn on SSN not allowing people to whinge on about the injuries, makes a refreshing change from the usual "experts" who seem to think its an excuse to get you out of any responsibility. He did make the mistake of saying Souness sorted out the dressing room, but to be fair to Quinn, outside of toon fans who can actually think, everyone has believed that load of bullshit.

Agree. He's clearly not always as bad as his current level which to be fair is abysmal. And its not hard to see that all of our defenders would be far better under good management, coaching and organisation. Teams like Wigan and last season Everton have at best average defenders but they are coached and organised to the highest degree to get the best out of them. A top class coach could easilly get into the top 6 with our current selection of defenders, they aren't anywhere near as bad people think. But without organisation, without any confidence and communication they are all over the shop.

Fat Fred is the master of timing, there's no doubting that, make it as hard as possible to attaract a new manager. He could easilly have done all this before January.

Thank fuck for that, one of the biggest disasters that has ever befallen this club in the 20+ years i've watched them and its like coming out of a long nightmare.

Souness has rendered watching away matches pointless, because the second we go 1-0 down that's game over and we all know it. Though that is currently changing to the second we kick off its game over and not worth watching. And home games haven't been watching since the day the fucker took over, but other than home AND away matches, training, coaching, transfers in and out, player relations, morale and team spirit he's doing a good job.

Look at the difference, Bruce goes all out for it (with ten men) and gets his team to attack and they snatch a possible draw, Souness plays for a defeat and gets one.
