1. All bright sparks in that family, then? 86336 Obviously Souness, Saunders and co. have provided "coaching" on her driving as well as their efforts on coaching our players.
2. I've had the oppositte in that a kid was behind me twatting the back of my chair (which wasn't reclined at all) and getting on my tits. And they were a family of mackems with the kid in full red and white attire, so i feel i was more than vindicated in slamming my chair back as he was getting out to leave, sending him to the ground!
3. So should we sign him or not then?
4. And 100% of everyone else playing shitter than shit! 85862 that's 198% which clearly indicates that we cannot win it. 85864 But remember according to Souness all our players always give 100%, when you times that by 11 in the team we have 1100% to play with!
5. In our position with strikers i think we had to have a go at getting him if it was on a 6 month contract. He's more likely to get you goals than Shola and Chopra even if he isn't close to the player he was and as long as it was a short contract its not a big financial gamble. However as soon as Liverpool are interested he isn't going anywhere else.
6. Yeah, when you first start reading it could be from now, but alas it was a depressingly accurate prediction from way back of how things would inevitably end up. To be fair you could just as easilly take threads from the day Fat Fred went insane and employed Souness when people predicted exactly what he'd do to individual players, to our style of football, to our results and to the club in general.
7. When he went for free i don't think people would have complained at getting a French International for that price, having gone for £8.5m of our money then certain standards are expected! The simple fact is though, Souness paid £8.5m for him, so get used to seeing him play every week regardless of how shite he plays and how much better other people may be there (when they're fit) because Souness does what is best for his ego and spoilt brat personality not for NUFC. And as somebody on here said, you get the impression that our "coaches" are making him steadilly worse!!!
8. Thanks to the fuckwitts on that committee, Big Al is still waiting for the record as they have wrongly taken more than one goal off him. He'll score a few more this season i think as he is going to have to play pretty much every game for us. Can't see it happening at Man City so it will i suspect be at St. James, which is the way it should be and i think it'll be a pretty good goal rather than something scrappy. However you can guarentee it will hide another abysmal Souness style performance from the team and bury any stick he should get under the deserved celebrations for Shearer.
9. Well no surprises at all in that match, everything i expected happened: We played poorly for most of the game The two teams were barely distinguishable He played at least 1 player needlessley out of position he further dented Luques already fragile confidence by dropping him for Shola and Chopra He played Nobby nowhere near to out wide Emre came on and instantly started to hide quite how clueless Spuness makes us with his intelligence on and off the ball And on, and on Well done to Chopra for his goal and he looks a better bet than Shola up front though as we all know, neither is the answer for a top class prem team (remember when we used to be one!) But CHopra has never had the chances Shola has Zog looked lively as he usually does, which is why he invariably doesn't get a game as Souness prefers to play SHola ahead of him out wide Well done to Parker on a deserved goal for the toon even if he knew nowt about it! And did anyone hear the bit wen the commentator exclaimed "Just what do Newcastle do on the training ground!" Something we all wonder
10. Theres definitely something in that. Most of the groups around now that the musical press, the normal press or just fans in general rave about are either similar to something from before or similar to each other. So they can praise them for beign good if they want, thats a matter of opinion, but they shouldn't be heralding these groups as new and revolutionary or especially creative and inventive.
11. The elves are a naturally tall and elegant race, i think you'll find i'm a dwarf from norse mythology
12. Tolerance is a wonderful thing! Not all people who practice a faith ridicule the idea of the other Gods, you know. 85448 Fair enough, i could have phrased it better than implying they all do it, when they don't. But try suggesting there's nothing different between ancient religions and theirs in an argument with strictly religious people and it doesn't go down well!
13. See how much better the "Norse faith" would be:
14. There should be enough for a 5-a-side match between a Sounes haters and Souness "apologists" teams. Alright so now everyone but Gemmil hates Souness, but we could get 5 who stuck up for him the longest against the 5 who hated him the most: Captains being Gemmill and Renton of course!
15. This thread's been a good laugh Anyway i get little enough sleep as it is and am knackered and pissed off at being up in the morning so i waste no time and am one of the shower the night before brigade! 7:00 wake up 7:06 Out of bed and get dressed Piss/teeth/shave/hair etc. until about 7:20 7:20 get wallet, phone, keys etc. put shoes and coat on 7:25ish leave house for bus stop Get in for work around 8:00 and have a shite day there until 6:00 Unless its my day off a week: 9:00 wake up and watch tv/dvd's/read 12:00 out of bed! Unless i particularly feel like going on the computer or am going out lunch piss about for the afternoon much like the morning dinner piss about in the evening some time between 1:15 and 1:45 think about going to sleep
16. I noticed in this thread people touched upon one of my favourite topics: The way religious people happilly (and arrogamtly) state their faith, their god and their set of beliefs as incotrovertable truth (despite no evidence whatsoever) yet ridicule the very idea that Norse/Greek/Roman/Aztec etc. gods could possibly be anything other than made up stories! I'll tell you one thing that IS different between Norse, greek etc. stuff and christianity/islam/judaism, the greek and norse stuff is interesting, worth reading about, makes more sense if anything and is something i would have loved to do in school! Tbh if we'd been brought up with Norse mythology i may have become a believer and be knockign all you atheist heathens!
17. 84976 Alot of truth in that and don't forget the media who are just as bad. Prime example being MMR, one bloke said there was a link to autism, thousand of scientists and doctors said otherwise and pointed to the evidence and explained that diseases previously erradictaed would return, but parents ("helped" by the media) panicked as is the norm and left the children at risk and it turns out the bloke was a lying imbecile anyway! And then "frankenstein foods" the medias favourite term for genetically modified crops a subject about which they know absolutely fuck all but feel free to ruin any chance of looking into it and testing it sensibly under controlled conditons by people who actually know what they're doing.
18. Speaking of Souness (which people are intermitently!) i've just read an article where he tries to defend his decision to get rid of loads of players and as ever he comes up with a piss poor defence: "Craig Bellamy, Patrick Kluivert, Laurent Robert, Jermaine Jenas, Aaron Hughes, Andy O'Brien and Darren Ambrose all left St James' Park during the summer or just after the start of the new campaign, while Nicky Butt, Hugo Viana and James Milner were sent out on loan." (from the article) And now that he (more than any other manager in history) is whinging about injuries and a small squad how does he justify the above, by saying O'Brien and Hughes would have stopped Taylor and Ramage emerging and that's it!!! Firstly that's bollocks because a decent manager would pick the best two players of the four whether younger or older and had the other 2 there as cover for, wait for it...inujuries! And secondly i see he hasn't got a single fucking defence as to the booting out of the other players mentioned and the mess we now find ourselves in. As for the Fat Fred debate, whetehr you're a fan of him or not, whether you think he was right over Gullit and Dalglsih initiall and so don't blame him, he was the only person in the city who would have hired Souness, he was the only person who would have paid Blackburn for him, paid Souness millions, left him with no clauses for failure in his contract ad who wouldn't have sacked him by now, so any defence of Fat Fred is ignoring some of the biggest fuck ups in the history of this club which could be catastrophic. Yes there are worse chairman, yes we've had worse ourselves and he has backed managers and seen them waste it, but by any standards of the job he should be doing he's fucked up big time.
19. 84396 As I understand it the lack of certain key words should have given the hint that it wasn't the GREAT Anal O. who wrote this excellent piece of work ... notice also the lack of mentioning that Brett Emerton will be a Newcastle player by the end of the week... 84399 You can tell it isn't by Anal Oliver because it doesn't mention the following things: Alan Oliver His fall out with Robert that he won't mention again Alan Oliver Craig Bellamy at least one geordie player, preferably 2-3 of them Alan Oliver "a club source"
20. It may be "only in America" but lets be honest, change shot to stab and it could easilly be this country the way things are these days.
21. You'll never get Fat Fred out no matter how much you chant against him, he has too much power. So the only option remains for more and more of the ground to chant Souness out, protest and suchlike until the fat fucker cracks and gives in. He'll never go himself but eventually if there is overwhelming haterd of Souness and wish to have him out on his arse it can happen, but how long it takes depends on how much the fans finally wake up and act. Of course we'll no doubt scrape a win in the FA cup, snatch something in the next prem game and some people (including fat boy) will think its all fine again.
22. Braindead? Meet the fuckers! Liar liar Groundhog day (every match is the exact same depressing embarassment as the last one) Dumb and dumber Gone in 60 seconds (please let it be this one!!!)
23. Read the bloody posts! I stated that it would be a big question as to whether or not he could adapt in the premiership, but he is actually a fantastic player. I'll find you the posts myself if you can't be arsed. Can't really see what's wrong with my assessment there, it's pretty spot on. 83111 For those that are familiar wil La Liga, it is no secret that Albert Luque is a very good player indeed, however, I would like to endorse Gol's sentiments that he needs time to settle in the premiership, had he joined Arsenal and been under the protection of Arsene Wenger, you would see a better player than the example you see under that twat Souness. 83114 Yes, he may turn out to be a disaster, but this manager, this situation, these tactics, the injury and now a total lack of confidence are ruining any chance of him showing what he can do. Also don't forget the likes of Henry and Pires weren't stars in their first prem seasons and Viera spent more time banned than playing initially, before adapting.
24. Its a frightening thought isn't it! We actually went to Blackburn and basically said "No, don't sack the useless fucker, let us PAY you money to take him off your hands!" Then we pay him a fortune to fuck the club up, and reward him for fucking us up by paying HIM compensation. For what he's done he should pay all the money from his time here back and more on top of that! 83026 Some people still don't blame Fat Fred though.... The last in a catalogue of critical errors that Shepherd made during a 4 week period in late summer 2004 which IMO have all contributed to the club's downfall... 83113 Fat Fred has indeed made several massive mistakes. Didn't sack Bobby close season and get top class manager in, then did sack him without a replacement ready. Actually wanted Steve Bruce, then finally chose Souness. The whole treatment of Bellamy and Robert in the media thus reducing their values when he knew we were selling, thats just simple bad business. And final mistakes, not sacking Souness after last season, and not sacking him at any number of points in this season.
