Its quite good and strange that we can be thinking that in Owen's absence we are actually still covered with quality strikers in the likes of Viduka, Smith, Martins, but hopefully he'll be back sooner rather than later. I did expect this though, when he got the injury i didn'tthink it would end with a simple 10 days recovery and then back up and running, i thought he'd end up missing the start of the season, this is NUFC after all! The good thing is Big Sam and his team will be keeping him in as a good a level of fitness as possible without risking the ankle and he'll come back when he's more than ready.

Whilst we technically have Carr, Nobby, Geremi and the likes of Taylor, Ramage et all who all nominally play there, i wouldn't choose any of them to play there to get into the top 6 ideally. Of them i'd play Nobby as he did a job there and Geremi sounds like he'll be really useful in midfield. But a proven RB would be nice as well, though i think Big Sam will probably go with what he has at RB now at least until January.

Have to say if i was a Leeds fan, and just football fans in general the west ham thign become more and more of a disgrace. They were found guilty of acting illegally and lying about it, and the prem even acknowledged that guilt with a fine, if they were innocent they'd have got nothing. And once guilty punishment was obvious but they did fuck all and its a disgrace. Now Leeds get a big points loss for what amounts to incompitence and fucking up but not lying and cheating. All the prem had to do was dock them even 3 points and they'd have went down, or christ even just say Tevez couldn't play in the games after the case and they'd have went down.

The thing with Man City is that they were a complete pile of shite last season, so have a long way to go and whilst they may be good players (mostly i don't know them) they probably all won't instantly fit into the pace of the prem. The likes of Viduka, Geremi, Barton and Smith are already proven in the prem as is Owen who is essentiall a new signing this season.

Good deal, 2 years to see if he holds up to the prem and with being a bit older and an option of a third if it all works out well.

Sadly, fuck all will happen. Being a cockney team against somebody like the blades guarenteed nowt happening. But now you have the fact the prem and a few others would have to admit they fucked up, which they won't and all the fictures and the like are in place, so they would be opening up to chaos if they did something. Plus West Ham woud then challenge the new ruling which would mean the prem and Championship being up in the air before a ball is kicked! I think Sheff utd's best hope is to try and get a few million or more in compensation for being completely and utterly shafted by the prem.
