It was me.

I loved watching him in his first season. When he was out wide with the ball, the ball just seemed to stick to his feet and he could hop his way past 2 or 3 challenges. For some reason he doesn't do that anymore which is a shame.

He's played loads of games though, especially this season. 114733[/snapback] This season, 20 starts, 6 goals. Not the worst record I've seen...certainly not bad enough to warrant a lot of the stick he gets.

8 goals in 2002-3, 10 goals in 2003-4, 7 goals in 2004-5 and now 6 so far this season. I don't think you'll get many 3rd choice strikers with a much better scoring record tbh.

Also particularly like this bit. Sounds to me as if that was a thanks but no thanks message? We can certainly see how and why someone would come to that conclusion but we prefer to look at it another way.

The funny thing is, in the First Round we came across Freddie Ljungberg at Halmstads. Just think how the course of English football would have changed if we'd signed those 3 rather than Arsenal!

Monaco only seem to sign players on Loan these days. Our best bet is he has a good World Cup and someone like PSG or Lyon come in with 4 or 5m for him.
