  1. More likely he's realised the vote is going to pass so doesn't want to be seen as "losing" the vote. If it passes it means nothing anyway as the bill will just go to the senate and they will just sit on it. We aren't seeing those files unless they get leaked
  2. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/nov/16/refugees-established-in-uk-may-have-to-return-if-home-countries-become-safe At this point I'm happy to see the Labour Party die
  3. Stewart Lee vs The Man Wulf Stewart Lee is a comedy genius, I feel ill from laughing so much If you ever get the chance to see him live take it
  4. I'm equal parts existential dread and misplaced optimism
  5. https://iandunt.substack.com/p/a-week-of-chaos-cowardice-and-negligence-328
  6. 100k including families is in reality fuck all. 0.15% of the population and the vast majority of which would be productive decent people It's all distraction, Labour are in on it and it makes me fucking sick to my stomach
  7. Open processing centres in France seems feasible and not a fantasy solution, but whatever So what if the asylum system is being abused by a few, in reality it's a tiny problem compared to the issues facing the country You'll asking me about Afghans raping children next Ita all a fucking distraction
  8. Is it, or are the usual sources just bleating on about it as they've always done Some decent honest leadership would relegate it to the sidelines. People in reality are much more worried about putting food on the table
  9. No but this and the responses mean we've been suckered by the right wing blowhards into arguing on their territory that asylum seekers and illegal immigrants are the same thing and are a PROBLEM that must be SOLVED Labour have been completely suckered into this. I though at the very least they would establish legal routes which would stop the small oats in a heartbeat but oh no let's just beat the gammon drum louder
  10. Doesn't compare what everyone else is going through, but I had a vivid dream about being on holiday with my Mum this morning and was absolutely crushed when I woke up and remembered she died ten years ago
  11. I'm going to steal that post and present it as my own going forward. Top notch
  12. https://statuskuo.substack.com/p/trump-even-lost-laura-ingraham?r=1zr8b&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&triedRedirect=true
  13. There not being honest about Brexit, and apart from taxing wealth that's the the most important thing they need to do Their immigration policy is also dishonest and morally repugnant
  14. Things aren't going to change if you don't try to change anything, and you refuse to honestly address the huge deep seated structural inequality facing the country If your whole policy is Farage bad but where going to kowtow to his demands then you guarenteeing a Farage win You ask if anyone here acknowledging the economic reality, maybe Labour should be the ones being honest
  15. Absolutely. They've been so much worse than I could have possibly imagined. And I wasn't expecting much
  16. I've joined the Greens today Labour are going to ave to credibly head much further left before I'd even consider voting for them again If enough people join/support the Greens maybe it will force Labour further left. Otherwise they are just going to cede more and more ground to the right. I'm done just voting against people. It would be be perverse for me not to support a party that actually matches my views, and expresses opinions i agree with
  17. Following on from ewerks post above I'm going to say their immigration policy I agree with totally. It's a lot better than Labour's morally reprehensible and unworkable Farage notevenlite You need someone to make the argument that immigration is a good thing or your just giving into gammon
  18. Good luck Gloomy, sounds fucking horrific I'd be demanding increasingly strong painkillers and spending as much time of my tits as possible
  19. I'd be for a 100% inheritance task, would lead to a true meritocracy and the country would be awash with money Never going to happen because people don't have the ability to see beyond the end of their front garden
  20. This is exactly right, on our current trajectory Reform are a dead cert to win. And frankly Starmer's performance doesn't deserve anything else
  21. His basic proposals are a moderate wealth tax and nationalising utilities, it's just basic progressive politics You're in danger of sounding like that bloke who screamed at Corbyn about nuking Russia
  22. People are desperate to vote for hope/change That's why Farage and Mamdani are winning, and why the Starmer Labout party is doomed
