Wow. Somebody should pass this on to someone at the club. Composer on the ball? Mozart? Lennon and McCartney? Albeit Aaron and George.

The comparison between Owen and Martins is ridiculous. Okay, Owen missed a few chances but over the course of 90 minutes he'd make three-fold what Martins does because he's got a footballing brain and he'd put more away because he's a better finisher. How many times does Martins go missing from games? How many times do we have to play with what is effectively ten men because he's not at the races? Yes, he may have 5 goals in 8 but given the chances he has had i'd expect a striker we paid £10 million for to put them away. As a personality I like Martins but on the pitch he's lacking. Make no doubt about it we're in a relegation battle and anyone who'd rather have Martins with them in the trenches instead of Owen, contract wrangle aside, needs their head looking at. Martins summed himself up last season in two consecutive games against Arsenal - In the first one he rounded the goalkeeper and rather than side foot it into the net he wellied it over the bar. In the second he did a similar thing but when the shot required a bit of power he side footed it and the ball didn't even make it to the goal line. As for JFK, he's quickly undoing all the hard work he put in over the first couple of games by showing himself to be massively tactically naive. Some of his decisions are bordering on the Souness.

First i've heard of this and may I be the first to say thank God there is no truth in the rumours. Keane is a limited manager who is splurging ridiculous amounts of money just to keep his side treading water and the vast majority of their fans bum him. With the backing the Mackems have now they could easily get a very good manager if he were to fuck off so keep yer fingers crossed his ego doesn't see him walk

You might want to tell Caulkin that... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle5150659.ece

Portuguese ref too, IIRC. What a lovely combination. Am I the only person who can remember Griffin's waist high scissorkick take down in the home fixture against Inter? One of the few positives on what was a very bleak night. Don't remember that, but I do remember that the commentators were saying how much smarter shearer was in clobbering cannavaro and getting away with it during the match, compared to bellamy's idiocy.... then they just used the video evidence against shearer that and recoba's screamer Ameobi and Lua Lua dominating Leverkusen I want to be back in the Champions League

Can't remember him being particularly immense in the Juve game. Maybe he was, but I can't recall it. For me it was the San Siro game where he had Vieri gift-wrapped in his pocket for the entire game, apart from the one time he got away and scored a header. Thought that if he could keep one of the best strikers at home so well marshalled except for one small lapse of concentration, then he'd be fine in the prem...... unfortunately it became a recurrent theme. Interestingly i both martins and emre played for inter in that one as well................ for the cheating bastards!!!!!!! Still was so proud at that 2-2 performance, one of our finest ever against all odds/referee Conceição was the main culprit when it came to cheating. I can remember him going down after a nothing challenge, rolling a for a few feet and ending off the pitch the rolling back on the pitch and then falling of the stretcher when they put him on it. Cunt.

2001's top 100 youngsters in the world

To be fair to Chopra he was a complete monster in the youth team and reserves. I can remember a rumour doing the rounds that SAF had tried to sign him and Robson had told him to fuck off. -
I was convinced after the Juve game Bramble had turned the corner. His performance that game was fucking outstanding. I'm really struggling to think of a better one by a defender in the B&W shirt over recent years. The Feyenoord game ws a killer. I nearly hit the roof when Bellamy scored with the last kick. I had a huge grin on my face for days afterwards. And need I remind you all of that game in the San Siro where Inter cheated their way to a 2-2 draw. IIRC a win in that game and we'd have had a brilliant chance of going through.

The 'professional' photos of that Sarah lass he fell in love with via the SMB were fantastic. She looked like fucking Meatloaf!

I don't think it's as bleak as people are making out. We wont find out who it is until a bid is made or even until a deal is all but done. Anschutz and Hunt may not be in the reckoning anymore but who's to say Warren Buffet or Bill Gates isn't interested

The fuck have you been hiding!?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7708398.stm I must admit, I hate the reactionary arseholes who want everyone who breaks the law to be severely beaten but those fuckers deserve a going over. Sick arseholes

£1.4 billion in the latest rich list, but that's down from nearly £2 billion when he took us over.

Who do you think will be the next manager?

Plus he seems to attract decent flap. -

Lets turn the tables. Lets have a look at the four Stetson wearing, gun loving, rootin' tootin' Americans that are apparently interested in buying us and decide who we'd prefer. Philip Anschutz Who is he?: Mega-rich owner of almost everything, including the LA Lakers, LA Galaxy, MEN Arena and the Millenium Dome. How much is he worth?: Around $8 billion (approx £5.1 billion) Pros: He has quite a good portfolio of investments in sports teams. Cons: He's a neoconservative Christian fundementalist who doesn't particularly like gays. Paul Allen Who is he?:Co-founder of Microsoft with Bill Gates and now owner of Vulcan Inc. Also part owner of MLS side and new home of Freddy Ljungberg, the Seattle Sounders. How much is he worth?: $16 billion (approx £10.3 billion) Pros: Very, very rich with a lot of experience in owning sports sides behind him. Cons: Bad teeth. Clark Hunt Who is he?: Grandson of H.L. Hunt, thought to be the richest man in the US at the time of his death, he's currently head of the board at the Kansas City Chiefs. He also owns FC Dallas and has been a driving forced behind the MLS since it started. How much is he worth?: Your guess is as good as mine. A quick Google search doesn't bring back any information about his net worth. Pros: Seems to have a fairly deep interest in football, albeit in the US. Cons: Some witty sub-editor will come up with a play on his name before too long. I don't particularly trust his comb over either. Mark Cuban Who is he?: Yet another American billionaire with a love of sports. Made his money on t'internet and now owns NBA side Dallas Mavericks. How much is he worth?: $2.8 billion (approx £1.8 billion) Pros: He has a bit of cash. That seems about it. Cons: Not the shy and retiring type. He likes to get his face on TV (He recently appeared on the US version of Strictly Come Dancing) and is always in trouble with the NBA for moaning about various things. He's like an American Fat Fred, minus the devilish good looks and love of short sleeve dress shirts. He also likes to sit amongst the fans while wearing the team jersey. Hmmm....who does that remind you of? Credit must go to Wikipedia and Forbes.com for making me look like I know a lot about these lads

I also love the generic "Don't delay - Act Today!" line It sounds like something you'd see on a leaflet at your GP's clinic, not an advert for an overpriced day out at the football.

I wonder if our "New signings!!!!!!!" are going to include Leighton Baines. "Once the coach is full; it's full!!" Apart from being blindingly obvious, why the semi-colon??!! Talk about the scattergun approach to grammar
