Owen is a legend. I've heard all the "He only plays for England" jibes but the man is a professional and if he could he'd play week in, week out for us he would. Call me stupid but i'm also quiet confident that he'll stay, atleast for another season. He seems to be carrying our team at the moment and hopefully next year he'll get a striker that will be able to play to his potential.

Could this businessman who tried to buy SJHs shares be the reason why we've spent alot of £££ this summer and look to be spending even more in January? I know at the time huge amounts of shares were being bought a few days before an attempt to buy out John Hall's shares were made and it would explain why we don't seem to be looking to 'keep the powder dry' in January. Is it a possibility or is Freddy just risking ruining the club financially to try and win something?
