Just listening to this for the first time now.

Bill Callahan - Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle. Nice stuff.

Totally agree He's a prick who's done nothing to deserve any more chances. He'll be off in the summer and the only regret anyone will have is that wasted time and money on him that we could have used to sign a player who actually plays a reasonable amount of games. Hopefully we can find some reason to sack him without paying up his contract because he is comepletely worthless to us now.

You never know, we might have two wins under our belt by then

Agree with everything you've said there.

Kagemusha 8/10. Sky +'d it ages ago but stuggled to get past the first ten minutes but glad I did now as it's a cracking film and probably the best Kurasowa I've seen. Ace In The Hole 8/10. Kirk Douglas is brilliant as a bitter self centred reporter. The Good German 7/10. Good modern noir with Clooney taking a canny kicking from Spiderman. The Palm Beach Story 9/10. Brilliant screwball comedy from Preston Sturgess. -
Looked like a red card to me. Two footed lunge which seemed to go over the ball and to the man. Barton is a cunt. The one chance we had for something from midfield and the fucking idot does that. I expected to get beat yesterday and feared a worse result goal difference wise but losing our one half decent midfielder for the rest of the season was a massive blow.

I really enjoyed Bolt. Yes it's just more of the same odd couple buddy comedy stuff and it isn't as good as Toy Story but it's still funny. -

Fantastic film that. Never thought I'd be so glued to a film where so little happens and the camera barely moves but I completely loved it. yeah it's fantastic isn't it? I'd recommend Floating Weeds & End of Summer (two of his later ones) - both excellent as well. Yeah I'm trying to get a hold of more of his stuff but a lot of them aren't cheap. Actually on looking at Amazon both of those are available for about £6 so if I can't find am alternative method I might give them a pop. -

http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...mp;#entry485986 Well I was just taking the work of that DVD I got from you Gun Crazy - 8/10 Bonnie and Clyde style film from 1950 except it's much better than Bonnie & Clyde. -
I can't see the link from work so I don't know what you've done there. But I did look at what I'd listed and think fuck me that's a bit obvious but hey up until a couple of years ago I couldn't get past The Stone Roses, Oasis and The Beatles. Anyway there's lots of less obvious stuff I like but none of them has produced full albums to the standard of those that I picked. And I did say if was of the top of my head. I like to differing amounts the following from your list. fennesz - endless summer six organs of admittance - school of the flower stars of the lid - the tired sounds of stars of the lid wilderness - wilderness beach house - beach house akron / family - akron / family david thomas broughton - the complete guide to insufficiency grouper - dragging a dear deer up a hill doveman - with my right hand i raise the dead wilco - yankee hotel foxtrot sun kil moon - april burial - burial brightback morninglight - brightback morninglight (actually listened to this again this morning on the back of your list, I'd forgot how good it is) annie - anniemal Didn't like Madvilany or The Pippettes, hated Lightening Bolt and was terrified of Scott Walker!

Metropolis 9/10. Easily the best silent film I've seen with the only flaw being the acting of the main bloke. Crying shame they are missing bits of it. -
I was going to say you picked the wrong one, but you pulled it out the bag. It's a tough choice but while Dear Science is probably a stronger album as a whole, the high points on RTCM are much higher which is why that was near the top which were my favourites.

Art Brut Vs Satan. Better than their last one and nearly as good as Bang Bang. DC Comics and Mysterious Bruises are both brilliant songs. The new Metric album is very nice too.

Would have to check my ipod for what is actually from this decade but off the top of my head; Radiohead - Kid A (all of their albums have been excellent and probably in my top 50 but this is the best of the 00's, possibly better then The Bends and OK Computer) Modest Mouse - The Moon & Antartica (could probably stick another couple of their albums in too) The Wrens - Meadowlands Yo La Tengo - And Then Nothing Turned Itsef Inside Out Brakes - Beatific Visions The National - Alligator Animal Collective - Feels Sogs Ohia - Magnolia Electric Co. TV On The Radio - Return To Cookie Mountain Wilco Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Art Brut - Bang Bang Rock And Roll (there new one is class by the way) The Boy Least Likely To - The Best Party Ever Boards Of Canada - Geogaddi Air - 10000 Htz Legend or The Virgin Sucides Arcade Fire - Funeral Doveman - The Acrobat Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake It's Morning Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It In People The Clientele - God Save The Clientele The Decemberists - Picaresque Doves - Lost Souls Eels Blinking Lights Eluvium - Copia Four Tet - Rounds The Hold Steady - Boys & Girls In America The New Pornographers - Challengers Interpol - Turn Out The Bright Lighs Jason Collett - Idols Of Exile LCD Sound System - Sounds Of Silver Margo & The Nuclear So & So's - The Dust of Retreat M38 - Dead Cities, Red Seas and Lost Ghosts Okerville River - Black Sheep Boy Portishead - Third Sean Lennon - Friendly Fire Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga Sufjan Stevens - Illinoise TV On The Radio - Dear Science

I've been saying we're down for a while but deep down I still expected that we would pull off an escape. But not any more. We are fucking hopeless. People have said it was a no lose situation for Shearer but with those players in many ways it's a no win. Not one of them can pass a ball. It's truely staggering to watch Nicky Butt missplace pass after pass (and I'm not talking about the hopeless forty yarders he keeps trying, it's the simple balls he gets so badly wrong that really take the piss. We are going down and we deserve it. Four teams look very likely not to win another game this season. We're one and two of the others are directly above us and we're too many points behind them for draws to be enough. Get ready to play Blackpool on August 8th. Thanks Mike you odious fat cunt.

Cheers Danny, found a use for you at last . Yea it's links I meant Tom. I'm only getting speeds of about 360 like but still better than Torrents.

I know there are a few users on here. Do any of you know of any good free sites for it?

This was getting emailed out to anyone with boxes the other day.

It looks like one of those strips that looks fine on players with good physiques but for anyone with a bit of a gut it will look horrendous. Fortunately I haven't bought a strip since the blue away one with the gold addidas stripes (back in the Newcastle Breweries days) so it doesn't bother me. That back panel looks shite though.

I forgot to turn back over from the Madrid game and I'm not disapointed tbh. Higuain just won it for them with a belter in injury time.
-
Anyone watching the Madrid game? What the fuck was Pepe just doing? Should be banned for the rest of the season. Fucking awfull pen from Getafe too, reminiscent of Cantona's one in France.

Journey To The Far Side Of The Sun 5/10. 60's sci fi from Gerry Anderson and it plays like a live action episode of Thunderbirds. Not very good at all. Eastern Promises 7/10. The ending was a bit low key and didn't seem to fit the rest of the film for me which was a shame because I thought it was excellent until then. Gun Fight At The OK Coral 9/10. Classic. Lancaster and Douglas were both fine actors and had a great chemistry together and this is one of the best 'traditional' type westerns I've seen. Ranks right up there with Rio Bravo.
