  1. Goma moaned so much he's worth two men?
  2. Anyone who thinks Given going to Citeh is just for the money is kidding themselves. The money they have means they can buy players like Robinho who can pushe them on next season to have a chance of winning things and certainly europe. Why wouldn't you want to swap us for that? With regards to him asking for a transfer, that saves us money doesn't it. Plenty of people said when his lawyer made that statement that by doing it that way he saved himself from missing out on a loyalty bonus when we sold him. Well now he's done that and he still gets slated for it.
  3. I'm sure I just read all of this in another thread.
  4. Could go either way that one. He could really struggle in a wank team or he could get the chance to shine.
  5. Class, I really hope N'Zogbia ends up somewhere like that and then fades into obscurity a la Domi.
  6. "My feelings about them need to stay private" Bang up job there. Nice to see other clubs in such turmoil. Haven't looked at the league much lately (too depressing) so I realised they'd dropped so much.
  7. Mainly dread from me. Although as sad as it is the prospect of signing Nolan & Tayor has heartened me somewhat. Isn't Ryan Taylor more right sided? If so, unless Enrique has some sort of injury I would hope no to see Steven Taylor at rightback. Has Martins a chance of being fit?
  8. Not sure he offers us anything worth keeping tbh.
  9. Some really canny new stuff out. Morrissey - Years Of Refusal. Only heard 7 of the songs so far but I'm loving it. Much better than Ringleader (which was still canny) Fever Ray - Fever Ray. The sister from The Knife and very similar to The Knife but a bit slower. Handsome Furs - Face Control. Big improvement on their debut, loving it. The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart - The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart. Pop with added feedback. First listen impressed a lot. J.Tillman - Vacilando Territory Blues. Apparently he's our of Fleet Foxes but I like this much more. Here We Go Magic - Here We Go Magic (can't these people think of names for their albums?). Part Paul Simon part psychedelic. M.Ward - Hold Time. More quality from Mr Ward
  10. Not so sure at moment like.
  11. Most of the players at the club are shite and tbh I don't foresee much change in that in the near future. The type of players we are apparently bringing in are a million miles away from being the players we would hope to be going for but hopefully they won't all be crocks and they certainly won't be on the big wages the likes of Duff, Smith and Geremi are on.
  12. Totally agree with Kinnear on this one. He misspronouces his name and this whinging cunt is just usining it as an excuse because he wants out. Fucking hell even if Kinnear has done it on purpose you wouldn't carry on like this about it. The prick might have good reasons to want to leave (lets face it all of them have) but time and time again he's been an absolute cunt about it. I hope we do get a decent offer for him but I can't see it because he's not anywhere near as good as he thinks he is. That said, Kinnear really shouldn't be let out in public.
  13. Not seen anything of Commons but if he's any good at all I'm all for offloading Duff.
  14. Doing the biz for me right now on FM. Eight assists in 13 starts!
  15. Would definitely agree with this. Still can't beleive they will sign Veloso.
  16. How times have changed. Glad to see I wasn't too scathing back then.
  17. That's the worst thing. Selling one of the best players in the league to fund the purchase of a player of Nolans standard!
  18. Sad indictment of the shit state we are in that I will be quite heartened if this comes off (mind you if they use the money to get Veloso (surely he wouldn't go there?) I will be pissed off). A few years ago I did think he was a very good player but he'd fell back by SA's last season there but he's a battler and does got forward so I think in our current mess he would do ok. Interesting to see in that Bolton thread they seem to have a better oppion of him than I thought they had now.
  19. Sunderland, Everton, Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal are 5 of our next 8 games Aye but we're only shit because of injuries. Cacapa, Ameobi, Viduka, Martins, Zoggy and Given are all fit for Feb 1st. Yeah as soon as they arrive at their new clubs!
  20. I find it incredible that anybody now can still believe the hype that we are too big to go down. More incredible however is the thought that you'd be happy to let that happen without any attempt to shape or mould the future yourself. Stating that everything proposed is an insane idea so we should all just keep wandering along week in week out, watch the dross, clap politely when we lose (again) and observe the club we love be dismantled and die before our eyes is fucking mental tbh. Pud, you plank, read my post, where have I said I'm happy with the situation? Where have I said we should clap politely? All I've said is that I find it preposterous to launch into a series of apocalyptic predictions after any defeat. All I've said is that there are people who are given to hysteria and I find it hysterical. I don't think we're "too big to go down" I just don't think we will go down this year. Not because we're doing well, simply because there are teams doing worse. I don't we'll stay up with a healthy space between us and the drop zone, I don't think we'll be safe next year without investment and wholesale changes at the club. I do however think that some fans need to express their concerns in an over-the-top fashion just for kicks. All I'm saying is give moderation a chance. By all means use my posts as a Wailing Wall to vent your frustration, but at least fashion your response to the statement I actually make. While there are certainly teams doing worse over the season so far (obviously or we would be 20th not 16th) but there can't be many who are in worse form (Boro perhaps) and have a worse injury crisis and the prospect of losing two players from their already paper thin squads with very little prospect of bringing anyone in. This is a massive crisis, with Beye, Barton and Owen (Martins too?) out for a good number of weeks we are really short on the those players of quality the pundits keep telling us we have and the players that are left are looking devoid of any confidence at all (much like the fans). Looking at the fixture list is frightening too. Any away game is a write off to start with and we shortly have a run at home of Manure, Arsenal, Chelski and Everton. Where are the points going to come from? If/when we lose to the makems on Sunday we will be lower than a snakes belly and I have massive doubts the team/club has the character to recover. I admit I have probably been guilty in the past of overreacting to positives (such as the Portsmouth and Spurs games) but facts as they are at the moment point to only one thing and I'm really not convinced that there will be three teams who are worse, especially as those teams are actually bringing players in rather than just shipping their best ones out.
  21. Did Lovenkrands touch the ball? Come to think of it did Geremi? Not too bad an outcome in the end.....Except for the whole no points and Owen and Barton injuries!
  22. Citeh showing they can defend as badly as us. Get the fuck in,
  23. If we don't sign at least 2 players before the window shuts that is concrete proof that Ashley wants us relegated.
