A right fucking setting ourselves up for another major embarassment on Sunday when several season tickets are depoisited on the pitch.

Except for it being good? I quite like Forrest Gump, I see the screen play was written by the same chap which probably explains the similarity. Can't stand it personally but each to their own. Actually my first instinct was to liken Button to Gump but I'm not sure that's really right. Really the only similarities are it's a love story that takes a while to come to fruition and it covers a long time frame so you see it against the backdrop of some of the major events of the 20th century. Fortunately in Button it really just keeps them in the backround though rather than having the main character really being a part of them.

28 Days Later 8/10. Didn't really think too much of it the first time I saw it but decided to give it another go and I thought it was excellent. The Limey 8/10. Terrance Stamp doing a kind of Carter/Walker role and doing very well too. Swingers 7/10. Enjoyable but not as 'Money' as it wants to be. The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button 8/10. Fantasitcally well made (the aging and deaging effects are brilliant) and moving story with Pitt and Blanchett on top form. Not sure if Pitt was nominated for an Oscar but he should be as should Fincher.

Also why is right wing (Jonas is about the only player we have worth watching) and Leftback more of a priority? I agree a central midfielder has to be our priorty but I don't get the others. As for LB, if charlie wangles himself a move then Enrique is the only LB in the squad. As I mentioned previously, we currently have 4 players who can play RB, 1 of which who is arguably the best player at the club, so forgive me if im dubious at us spending half of our apparent budget on another RB I'll give you the valuation of this rightback as I have since seen it in other articles. From what you say we basically have no left winger as Duff is wank (complete agreement there) and N'Zogbia wants away. Surely then left wing is more of a priority than Right wing where we have at least one player of quality there. Enrique is the only leftback but Bassong could still play there better than any of the players who you claim can play rightback. Edgar isn't and never will be a premiership player, Geremi is no longer a premiership player as he cannot run and Taylor is no good at fullback and is injured. Basically we have no cover there. I hope your talking about Beye as being one of the best players at the club but he's out for most of the season (picks up a few injuries too) and isn't getting any younger. We need cover at rightback as much as anywhere. Centre midfield has to be our priority though and I would have certainly hoped we would have spend most of our money there if it's as limited as it appears. But tbf Kinnear seems completely aware of this.

Totally underwhelmed by The Wrestler and Micky Rourke was good but nothing special. Mind you as Aronofsky kept filming him from behind I don't see how you can really judge. Glad he's not up for best director. Not seen any of the other nominated films although I might watch Button this weekend.

Halloween (orginal obviously) - 8/10 One of Carpenters run of brilliant films. Never falls into the cliche's of the genre and mangages to keep you on the edge of your seat despite the fact the only time Michael attacks before the last half hour is in what is basically the prologue. Excellent stuff.
