  1. Aye there's some right twats on both sides. Kohli and Warner is fight waiting to happen.
  2. Your Fathers Murder: A Letter To Zachary. Documentary by the best friend of a murdered man intended to be a film for his son who wasn't born at the time of his death. It's really well done and one of the saddest things I've seen in ages. In that sense it probably wasn't the best thing to watch on a come down from Saturday but I loved it anyway. Jiro Dreams Of Sushi. Surprisingly interesting documentary about a master chef who has the first 3 star sushi restaurant. I thought there might have been more to it given how highly it's rated but there's nothing more than his dedication to his craft. Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room. Staggering that they managed to get away with what they did for so long without anyone asking why.
  3. Not that it really matters as we more than deserved to lose the game.
  4. It was the ball before the one where that goal starts from on those highlights that everyone was shouting for offside. Looks like there's no was of knowing one way or another if that's all that was shown.
  5. Aye Lascelles, Anita and Dummett were all absolutely hopeless on Saturday and that had nothing to do with tactics. I think it was more to do with two of them being shit and one being half asleep (again). There second goal looked offside at the time, I've not seen any replays, can anyone confirm whether it should have been disallowed?
  6. Well the Aussie's strips are very nice. That green cap is lovely.
  7. Watched this at the weekend and it's excellent. Although I did find it a bit annoying that the guy did his whole interview in German despite speaking excellent English.
  8. Yes Perez has been pretty awful most of the time this season, as he was last. The lack of a decent number 10 has been a problem for us this season. Neither him or Diame have performed there which makes it all the more infuriating that Rafa hasn't tried to have a go with Mitro or Murphy up with Gayle for more than five minutes here or there. And of course Rafa deserves a hell of a lot of credit for getting us to where we are with what is in many positions a pretty limited team. But when he gets it wrong like he did on Saturday he should face criticism the same as anyone else. Although due to the goodwill and respect he's got, he'll face a lot less than the likes of Pardew and McClaren would have got (and deservedly so).
  9. Comparatively I didn't think colback was that bad yesterday. Shelvey, Atsu, Anita and Lascelles were particularly bad but no one was good. And if Rafa gets the plaudits for last week, he has to get the criticism for this. We stood off and gave them (particularly the number 10 who was excellent) and persisted with long balls. I can only assume we thought their back four was slow and Gayle could exploit them over the top. I'd not have had much problem with this if it was only shelvey looking to play these balls but Lascelles and Clark shouldn't be. Rather than being passes in behind, they were just humped balls up that Gayle had no chance with. I can't for the life of me understand why he stuck with this tactic.
  10. I thought Gamez was decent for someone who's played so little recently. He did seem to get caught out of position a couple of times while trying to go forward. He looks like he wants to get forward more than Anita (though not as much as Yedlin which isn't a surprise). I think he looks like a proper footballer and will be decent if he gets a proper run. Fwiw I think Rafa did prefer Anita to Yedlin but I think that has changed in the past couple of months. I think he sees Yedlin as first choice now.
  11. Kong Skull Island. Really surprised at how much I liked this. I've always found the whole concept of King Kong a bit stupid and never really liked any of the previous films. But this played like Journey To The Centre Of The Earth or any number of old Doug McClure films and I found it great fun.
  12. I'm glad they're a team in form. That gives me more confidence than playing someone like Villa and Bristol who couldn't buy a win.
  13. Gone for a 4+. I fancy us to click as an attacking force with a probably starting role for Gayle.
  14. Dead Mans Shoes is outstanding. Not got round to Romeo Brass or This Is England yet but watched Le Donk the other week which is canny.
  15. In no particular order (or amount apparently) Withnail & I The Life & Death Of Colonel Blimp The Third Man The Lady Vanishes Dial M For Murder Dead Mans Shoes Trainspotting Shallow Grave Life Of Brian Kind Hearts & Coronets Scrooge
  16. Mad game. Was that not a pen for psg for a foul on di Maria?
  17. Not sure he ever tried to use it as a defence, if he'd knocked some poor fucker over while mortal he would have justifiably got locked up for it. But I did have some sympathy for him. It's not like he'd even had his keys with him while he was on the drink, he's was just unfortunate that they close at hand when he'd got home.
  18. My mate got done for drink driving that day. He was that pissed he came home from the local and couldn't remember what he was doing. So he assumed he was just about to go to work so got in his car and started driving (he'd not had his car with him all day). He got a mile or so up the road and started to come to his senses and turned back for home. Just as he pulled into his street he lost control and drove straight through his neighbours fence. He got a hiding off his step dad and then arrested.
  19. Of course that's right, the supporters of any club should always be encouraging its progress. But to have a protest march about a man who has achieved what he has there is beyond ridiculous.
  20. Colback was actually fine in possession for a change last night. Shelvey's passing perhaps wasn't quite a good as usual which is probably why we failed to score.
  21. He's made the mistake of not trying to recapture what he inherited in terms of the physical spine. It's been the missing piece of the jigsaw for them imo. But without him I don't think it would be as simple to do it.
  22. Arsenal were near the top back then but from memory hadn't been in any real contention for quite a while. I think their fans think the job's a bigger attraction than what it is. They're undoubtedly a big club but I really don't see them in the same league as the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Barca, Real, Bayern, PSG even in terms of what managers they can attract to the club. So whoever they bring in is going to be a risk and I agree the team is more than the sum of its parts and it will be very difficult for a new manager with new ideas on how the game should be played, to get the best from them. I could easily see them falling behind.
