Really? Pretty much the same team with Duff/Beye/Bass/Owen/Martins/Duke etc got us relagated last season. I'd have thought any promoted team should be happy with just staying up. agree with barney, I'd say 14-17 would be about acceptable, its hard to stay up in your first season, despite the PL experience of a lot of our players they've been playing CCC football for a year now, it might take some getting used to back in the top flight, especially if we get a tough opening run anything above 14th would be a damn good first season back, top half would be stunning Nope, I'm serious. If that cock-head Ashley wants any praise hes got to put in some hard graft and frankly 16th or 17th and therefore a surviving by the skin of our teeth is frankly unacceptable. 5 year plan and all that... We had a team that was well capable of staying up in 2009 - we didn't because the club was run like a fucking shambles. Now everyone is wax lyrical about how well things are round away from front of shop - well fucking prove it... 16th or lower won't do that for me. Im not talking about whether I'll be praising ashley or not fact is we've come back at the first attempt and many of our fans and the media will still be rating us as a PL side but we're not, we're a newly promoted side from the CCC with a different manager (aside from a brief caretaker spell) and an 11 laregly the same as the one that went down hughton has earned his chance to manage in the PL but thats not to say I dont have my doubts about him, I dont think hes tactically astute enough and I dont know if he'll be able to handle the side when things arent going as well as they have this year so from the "team has just come up" pov I'll take 17th as a season in the PL to build upon also on the "praising ashley front" I'll praise ashley if he backs hughton properly, sacks llambias and doesnt sell players as soon as there is a bid the on the pitch stuff is down to other people Pretty much how i see Hughton and Ashley right now. I think our squad andrew, our starting 11 is one that is on par with the bottom 6 of the current PL...with a few additions i think we can comfortably achieve an 11th-15th finish.

Worth a tenna but unlikely. 11th-15th most likely i think.

He was fucking on the pitch 4 minutes or something? Now Geordie Lad I would normally enjoy reading these but this has just took the biscuit completely. And even branding Guthrie at 6.5 is a bit light, he did well. Shola aswell you can't rate him he didn't get a touch of the ball for fook sake. Buck up or buck off ! I agree completely on the Guthrie point, I thought he was a big participant in the middle and attacked very quickly, rather harsh on your rating there, suprised you rated Nolan tonight considering you're one of his biggest critics. Kevin, Fair enough Barton wasnt on long, maybe not long enough to rate....still looked hungry for the ball though. Acid, I stand by my rating of Guthrie, yes he did get forward and he did play a few nice balls but it was Nolan who was creating more...Guthrie lost the ball time and time again, stupid showboating late on gave them a chance too, plus he should of scored twice...i rate him just dont think he was very good last night. As for Nolan, i have criticised him alot, but also last few weeks you would of noticed iv praised him too. Playing with Guthrie we seem to get more from him than playing with Smith. Maybe this whole time it was Smith who was the shit one? Who knows. Either way Nolan or Smith arent good enough to start in PL...and Guthrie needs to be more consistent.

Is it just me thinking George Caulkin is the best local journalist we have had for a long long time?

Exactly, football is all about relegation and promotion. We were shit enough to get relegated and no we are back. Ash will spunk the cash like a well endowed Black man on porn hub to see us safely into a mid table finish in our first year back. This relegation was coming like a steam train for the last few years and thank fuck we have recovered from it so quick. Over to you Fat Mike to prove the doubters wrong. Ship up or ship out. The sad thing is, there are too many fans who would be happier to be proved "right" about Ashley than to see us see us do well next year. I think the jury's out for me, he didn't sell anyone in January and we're up. Let's see what happens this summer. Exactly! I will never forget the shit he has put us through but if we does the right thing by us in the summer whether hat be sell up to someone decent or spend what we need to then i am willing to give him another chance. Imactually starting to think selling in the summer would be bad for the club...we need continuity for our 1st season back in PL.

Ok...well...1st half we were shit. Maybe our concentration was knocked i dont know. I never thought that finding out we were promoted would of made us complacent but thats what we were in the 1st half. We got a lucky soft penalty...technically it was a correct decision but very rarely you see them given. Nice bit of luck and wel tucked away by Lovenkrands. 2nd half we actually looked like a team deserving to be top of the league...could of scored a few. Im pleased with the win, happy with our 2nd hald performance and delighted with promotion with 5 games to go but im gonna be critical of a few of the lads tonight. Harper...6 Should of done better with goal, Sheff utd played done a job on him but still could of done better. Enrique...7 Solid going forward and in defence but wasted a few good crossing chances...want to see him shoot more. Simspon...6 Starting to worry about him alot now...didnt do alot wrong just doesnt look very good. Coloccini...7 Solid and composed Williamson...8 Solid, read game well and made a few very important blocks at 1-0. Gutierrez...7 I like him but he was fuckin gash 1st half, only a slight improvement in the second, lost the ball far to much but his running at times was so important. Routledge...7 Frustrating...this lads got bags of talent but so inconsistent with the quality in his final ball...need to see more consistency...improve his shooting too. Guthrie...6.5 Used ball well at times but got aught in posession far too much...should of scored twice. Nolan...9 My man of match...Great goal, worked extremely hard for the team and passed ball well...well done Kevin. Carroll...6 Cut a frustrated figure tonight, didnt do it. Lovenkrands...7 Took penalty well, wanted ball alot but really should of scored again on two other occasions. Barton...6 Looked hungry and chased everything...actually looked quick at times! Raylor...Not enough time to do owt. Shola...6 Looked busy but didnt do alot...funny how he thought he had scored. All in all it was a good result saved by a goo 2nd half performance...total anticlimax though. We are up...we should be proud...another 3 points in the bag...Highest points total still on...all season unbeaten home record in over 100 years still on....lets go win this fuckin wank league and break some records too! Create a bit of history!

Just pm'ed you a few options. Nice to be nice eh!? Rite im offskees! Enjoy the match lads however you get to watch it!!

Exactly my thoughts!

Its alrite like....i quite like the view although the atmosphere isnt exactly great up there. That said with the context of tonights match id imagine all around the ground will be buzzing! Taxi parked up and off to stake my claim for the best table in the pub. The early start however will lead to far too many Kronnenburgs which in turn will no doubt lead to some very silly posts come 10pm. Enjoy it boys and girls Can only be an improvement tbh. 2-0 for me. Any win would be good but id love us to go out and really put a show on.

I think personally that FMA should be given the chance to build some bridges this summer. Things will never be forgotten but if he does the right thing for the club in the summer im willing to give him another chance.

You'd think what with Cardiff being able to go above or level with Forest if they win that they would be looking for goals. That said i guess it dont matter who finishes 3rd or 4th so long as they are in playoffs...but it would be a psychological advantage for either team should they win going into the playoffs and potentially meeting each other again in a few weeks when the game holds far more importance. Edit: BBC 2 Kevin.

I like Paulo Sousa but i dont think Swansea would be strong enough. With their current sqaud, I agree with you that they're not currently strong enough for the Premier Leauge, however I do think with a few neat signings they could improve that vastly, and their organisation and posession play would be enough to keep them up. Paulo Sousa seems a good manager, and I hope he does get them promoted. Using that logic, looking at Swansea squad then surely newcastle would stay up comfortably then? That's a total different subject, and for too complex for this current topic, but you're correct on the logic, and perhaps a decent transfer budget could define our survival next season, but that depends with Mike though . I know its off subject but why is it complex? Quite simple really...we have a better squad that Swansea, we are organised...so if a 'few neat signings" is enough for them to stay up then the same for us would mean us staying up too? Simples.

Forest 0-0 Cardiff at Half time...Forest actually looking poor. 45mins from promotion guys and gals!!!

For all they are a good footballing side it is these late goals which has made the difference between them and Forest.
-
Hahaha This. I have family in Nottingham and have always had a soft spot for them so would love to see them come up with us. Cardiff would do ok in PL...Swansea and Leicester would go straight back down.
-
Forest, Swansea, Cardiff and Leicester make up the four now with Blackpool close and Boro 6 points adrift. The former four are most likely the ones to make up the play offs and i think it will be a Forest and Cardiff final with Forest winning promotion.

Watford scored in the 85th and WBA equalised in the 6th minute of extra time Still a good result for us, I guess. I was a it premature like but yeah a good result for us.
