  1. Im going to view a house on Brinkburn Avenue thmora mornin, after looking on the traveline northeast website to find a bus journey its thrown up a few roads near Brinkburn Avenue. Coatsworth Road/Shipcote...is shipcote a place in gateshead? and Durham road which is a walk from Brinkburn. Iv looked on google maps and it shows various bus stops along these roads but i dont know if id be on the bus going northbound or southbound? Should really tell ya what buses stop at them really. Anyone know what stop to get off or any other quick way to get there from town? Thanks.
  2. Just done enough but can do ALOT better! Next season need to build on the foundations put in place this year. Need to be more consistent. Mike Ashley...Stil a fat cockney wanker but has stabelised the clubs finances (we think) not done anything stupid this season and backed CH. If he is to be here next year then he HAS to invest a sizeable amount into the team following promotion. Derek Llambias....Complete rat! Get Chris Mort back or at least someone decent, honest, sensible and with a brain. Chris Hughton...Found his level...good CC manager...will be found out in the PL... Squad...On the whole the dquad has been pretty impressive in ways of how they have stuck together, faught an ground out important results. Particular highlights have been the improvement of Carroll, Kadar and Guthrie, The signings of Routledge and Wlliamson, while i dont think WR is as great as CT does he will do well in PL and is what we've needed for a long time. MW looks very able and could be good cover/rotation at CB. Enrique and Jonas have linked well on the left, built a good understanding and have both improved. Coloccini looking more settled and composed, lets hope he can take it into the PL...we will see. All in all been a good season but so it should be, we are in the CCC! Onwards and upwards...11th place finished next season.
  3. On the back of two good away results, 4pts from 6, we go into what i think is the biggest game of the season, a game of monumental importance, and is one where the lads really need to step up and show what they are made of! With WBA away to Reading and a good possibility they could drop points, this one turns into a 6 pointer! Hall and Taylor out. Smith, Shola and Lovenkrands all likely to be back but i only expect PL to start...This is as close to a fully fit squad we have had all season! Likely starting 11... ---Harper--- ---Simpson---Williamson---Coloccini---Enrique--- ---Routledge---Guthrie---Nolan---Gutierrez--- ---Carroll---Lovenkrands--- Subs: Krul, Kadar, Raylor, Smith, Butt, Best and Shola. 3-2 in a good old ding dong!! Carroll, Lovenkrands and Nolan. Come on!!!

  5. Monday is game of the season for us! A win taking us 13 points clear with the Reading game in hand. A win would pretty much seal automatic promotion. Once monday is out the way, hopefully with 3 points in the bag its a case of pushing even harder, testing ourselves to finish the job and win this league. Id hate to think it but iv a feeling once we have secure a top two finish we will sit back, complacency sets in and WBA win the league! I dont get why anyone says 2nd would be good, yes we would still get promoted which is the most important thing but come on surely you want to see us win the CCC? 3-2 on monday in a end to end nail biting thriller! Come on boyz!
  6. Been away for a few days and seen this in the paper. Some of you lot on here are a fucking joke man...get him out, get rid, fuck off carroll! Get a grip of yourselfs man...shit happens like this everyday, probably in training very often, only because we are newcastle united do we get to hear about it. If Taylor had been sniffing round Carrols ex he deserved a fuckin twatting...shit happens...i dont give a shit about it tbh...and i imagine the two of them will sort it out in the end. Or so i hope because i dont want either of them to leave.
  7. Well...and im not supporting him for one second btw, but he spent 5.5mil in january which is typically where u spend less than in the off season, so if that is anything to go by then i expect him to spend a bit more in the summer. They have already identified that we need another striker and midfielder. Money will be spent, how much is anyones guess but it NEEDS to be the bare minimum of 15mil...remember we will be going up with a smaller wage bill, lower running costs and the bonus of higher gates and much more TV revenue. Dont be so pessimistic man.
  8. I dont see how we do. We were not self sufficient Under Shepherd last few years and havent been since. We couldnt afford it keep on raking up the debts trying to keep up. Thats why us and so many others are / were really fucked. It amazes me that some seemingly sensible people on this board think that crowd size and tv money is enough to compete with the big boys. It simply is untrue. You need a benefactor these days. Those who simply think we can go back to the spend spend spend days of Shepherd are fucking clueless. A different approach is needed and if and I agree its a fucking huge if, Ashley has learnt his lesson and is interested, then he could be our best long term route back to a serious contender. I dont think there are any quick fixes however if some of you have any you should spell them out, rather than just moaning about Ashley. He is a British Multi million / soon to be billionaire, his empire is growing again, his brand fits in well for world wide promotion. Hopefully he will get it right in the summer. If not the prospect of a sale to a Barry Mort type is truly horrific. Why? who is Man U's benefactor? Liverpools? Arsenals? Spurs? none of those clubs have benefactors, Man U have levels of debt that far surpassed anything raked up by Shepherd (although Ashley is doing his best to get to that level). If you want to go from nothing to world beaters overnight then yes, a multi billionaire who will pump in the cash is needed. If however you dont have that then you need to steadily build up a winning team, going into debt to get it but knowing that the success it brings will more than pay for it. Nobody (or at least not me) has ever said we were self sufficient under the previous regime, what we were though was pushing towards success, our problem is that at the point where we needed that final push, that bit more cash injected we lost our bottle and pulled in the reigns, it was downhill from there. I still argue that Shepherd had passed his time, he'd ran out of ideas and was never going to take us to anything like the heights he and Hall had previously however at this moment I'd crawl over broken glass and shit to carry him to Gallowgate if it meant replacing Ashley. Anyone who thinks Ashley is going to push us forward in any real capacity is simply off their tits. I agree with all of that but Ashley has done us a favour in a sense by the ways of trying to sort our finances out. If we are to get to where we were or even close then money needs to be invested, gambled if you like. FMA is a gambling man but when it comes to us he is a tight fisted cockney fuck. I've said it before and il say it again...i just hope there is a few consortia looking at us and prepairing a bid once we are promoted, consortia with a bit of money to take this club forward AND be ran properly and with respect for the fans.
  9. Not at all but i do think we will spend about 15-20mil in the summer...we HAVE to and he knows that!
  10. Personally i think Carroll has a bit of Les and big Dunc in him, and at 20 he looks to be showing more promise than both of them at the same age. Him and Lovenkrands have formed a good partnership and i do believe they could keep it going in the PL although in an ideal world i would like a new lightning fast striker to play alongside Carroll next year. If shola stays then we would have 2 Big lads and 2 small lads meaning we wouldnt have to change our system to much if any get injured or rotated. Best can fuck off (we will be lumbered with him for 3 years), Ranger and Donaldson can go out on loan.
  11. Tbh it is from the sunday sun! That Hernandez is supposed to have some promise like and we do need cover for the wings. I just think a pacey striker, 2 CM's and a RB should be our priority followed by cover for LB, CB, RW and LW. If we let 3 go (Butt, Pancrate and Hall - Dont see us selling/letting go of anyone else) and get 8 in of decent quality and or potential then we could have a decent PL squad.
  12. NEWCASTLE are tracking two Spanish-based stars as they begin to put together their post- promotion spending plans. Valencia winger Pablo Hernandez is on the Magpies’ radar after a year in which he has broken onto the fringes of the Spain international squad. And Getafe’s Uruguayan striker Juan Albin is another to catch the eye of United scouts in La Liga. Hernandez, 24, is a right-sided player who made his debut for Spain as a replacement for Barcelona star Andres Iniesta at last summer’s Confederations Cup. He then won a second cap as a second-half substitute against Austria in November, scoring in a 5-1 friendly win. Albin has a slightly lesser pedigree at unsung Getafe, having joined the Madrid minnows from Uruguayan side Nacional in 2006. But although he has scored a modest 17 times in 97 appearances in Spain, the 23-year-old is seen as more of a creator than a taker of goals. On paper, Albin, who is out of contract this summer, appears a more realistic target for Newcastle than Fernandez, who recently signed a new deal at Valencia until 2014. United’s talent-spotting network is slowly being reactivated by new chief scout Graham Carr, who is also monitoring several targets in France, including Lille’s Yohan Cabaye and Lens’ Adama Diakite, and trawling Germany for promising youngsters.
  13. Just for you shamrock mate! Harper...6 Bad error for goal and slow to react but not much else to do. Simspon...5 I thought he was awful defensively, not that good going forward, doesnt overlap or cross from deep with any quality or regularity, starting to worry about him! Hall...7 Solid, strong, alert and composed. I have been impressed with him but would struggle in the PL imo. Coloccini...6 One of his poorer games. He was hestitant and caught out of position a few times...missing his pal Williamson. Enrique...9 Outstanding! Strong and quick, anticipated well, skillfull and good going forward...would like to see him ping a few at goal more and get a few more early crosses in from deep. Gutierrez...8 I actually think he was awful in the 1st half giving the ball away alot but second half was our MOM relieved pressure with his running and his drive got us back in the game...and unlucky with a great strike too! Guthrie...6 Poor performance and never really got going until late on, wasted posession quite a bit and really should of scored...didnt need to round the keeper! Nolan...6 Poor, slow, laboured, wasteful and should have scored with his header! Routledge 7 Indifferent performance, started bright, disappeared for a while but like gutierrez he was instrumental in our comeback with an assist, good vision and drive. Carroll 9 MOM worked tirelessly leading the line AND in defence. His use of the ball was good and took his goal very well! Next seasons Number 9! Best...4 Wank Kadar 6...Said it for a while, he looks like he has HUGE potential, very composed, strong and good feet for a CB...and some strike on him too!
  14. Can we have a full match report? I agree with all of that though.
  15. I really dont get this delusional negativity like. Alor of our squad have PL experience tbh....they may not be top 10 players but certainly good enough to stay up next season. Its all about how they are managed, this season in the CCC Hughton has used them well but in the PL i personally think we will need a new manager in order to really push on. CH mite keep us up next year but if we want to progress further then a new guy is needed, and that being the case, why wait until the season after next? delusional negativity? this squad is the one that got relegated last season minus some first team players what makes you think they've all suddenly improved to the point of being certain to stay up? Tbf I thnk the squad was good enough to stay up last season. IMO the reason we failed was because of the managerial farce we had. Of course the players have to take some blame, but my point is that they were not the 3rd worst squad. Far from it. On another hand, I think the current squad or as it will be end of season would struggle. Maybe bottom 6. Id get rid of (Butt, Hall, Pancrate all taken as read) - Smith, Shola & Best. Smith might stay, and we'd need to see how he fit in to the squad, but shola I think would again struggle and I think he's certainly lost his place to Carroll who Id be interested to see if his steady progress continued. So you believe that we COULD be good enough to stay up then? I think so. Smith like Nolan will still be here next season but i hope both are used as bit part squad fillers. Id like to think Shola and Best will go too but i seriously dout either leaving simply for the fact that they are both shit. Nice to see Carroll finally getting the support he deserves! Iv said it all season and last that this lad has huge potential and he has showed that this season, albeit against CCC teams but his ability in the are and his link up play are something you can take up and improve through the leagues, his movement is improving too! Also he is great defensively on set plays!

The players that left were underperforming mercenary cunts who didnt want to fight for the club. Yes the majority of players who got us relegated are still with us but that has driven them onto being more determined to get back into the PL. We now have a great team spirit, a togetherness and more importantly a never say die attitude...we may not be the most talented bunch but the group we have want to play for the club...they have heart.
  17. Should of been 3 points before the game but after watching it it was more a case of a point gained than 2 points lost. Shit 1st half, improved second but at least we didnt get beat. Still disappointing all the same.
  18. I thought we'd scored then you git HAHA FFS who doesnt have sky these days?
  19. fuck off lol Haha well the unexpected happened...maybe? Ahhh who am i kidding!? I dont care who scores now as long as its us!
  20. Well well well! Best for the winner? Come on lads!!!!!!!!
  21. CT... The last 18 months have been anything but exciting mate! I take positives from relegation...the fact we had the chance to shift the shit, cut down to bare bones and start building from scratch again but that said, us languising in the countries second league after years and years of PL football, european nights and good cup runs this is as far from exciting as you could get. Watching our boys play against dross week in week out is torture rather than enjoyment. I will be pleased when we get promoted, delighted if we win the CCC but i sure as hell havnt enjoyed this season at all. Some say its nice to see the lads winning regularly, but winning against shit? I dont think the excitement and enjoyment will come back until the season after next...next year will be tense and until we get a new manager in and get rid of FMA or he actually commits and puts decent money forward for quality players then we wont have that for a while.
  22. I for one hope he gets a goal like....still think he is shit though! With that team though it looks like we are going there to attack which im pleased about! Come on boys...WBA and Forest picking up 3 points lets do the same!!
  23. The bench looks like... Krul, Raylor, Butt, Ranger, Kadar, Pancrate and Donaldson. Team is as predicted...hope i get the score and scorers right!!
