  1. Hilarious message board. Ran like a pre-pubescent Stalinist dictatorship, when you think of the reasons I was banned.
  2. HF what's going on with your avatar, is it your face with Coloccini's barnet?
  3. Mike knows his football. I refuse to acknowledge that anyone who grows up without supporting a club, knows anything about football. He's from Buckinghamshire, the most pointless county on these islands, fucking Aylesbury, such a non-event of a place. Worst night out I've ever EVER had.
  4. I just don't like Williamson end of story, not just his football, I don't like him. He's like a giddy schoolgirl at a Robbie Williams concert, when he goes to Old Trafford, Emirates, Stamford Bridge etc.... "dream come true to play at these grounds". There's no better ground than SJP, and to treat going to these venues like a Stevenage player going to a Premier League ground gets on my tits no end. The sad truth is we have few people within the club who value it, like FFS did, like Shearer did, like Gary Speed did, we have no one now who understands how big this could be, with the incessant message from Ashley and Pardew to understate who we are to dampen fans expectations. Cunts.
  5. Bramble had as much ability as almost any centre half, his long balls, weren't long balls, they were cultured 50 yard straight to feet passes. Ability was never his problem, switching off was, his concentration and lack of confidence when the chips were down, clearly were major deficiencies in his game. You'd think someone with a 15 and a half inch cock would have all the confidence in the world too.
  6. Personally I think Taylor is a lot better than Williamson. I think Taylor has ability, when he's got a steady run of games, he's alright. First half of last season was probably the best four months of his career, he was brilliant in some games, and I don't buy the fact this is purely down to Coloccini dragging him through games. Where he lets himself down is, when he loses his discipline and makes stupid mistakes. I remember when he got sent off against Tottenham about 4 years ago, he was trying to be all Beckenbauer at the back, lost it and committed a professional foul. I think the errors in his game are no where near as bad as Bramble's were, and I think he is far better than Williamson. Kevin Scott was a better centre half than "Willo", his performance against Swansea was as bad as it gets for a centre half, and we'd be better off with Perch in there till we sign someone, if we're nice to Mike, and massage his ego enough to spend £1.5m on a new centre half for us.
  7. Hahaha it's not really ITK, was in a number of English papers, and also mooted in Italy yesterday. He'd struggle in Serie A like, as you say you get more time on the ball so he'd have to rely more on technical ability rather than instinct when he's on the ball which would find him out. Apparently his destination is Roma, Palermo or Fiorentina according to the crack if there's any truth in it.
  8. Yes but he's going to Roma in January [/itk]
  9. I wouldn't even entertain a reply to that old spastic mate. I've got more respect for a 15 year old delinquent who wipes snots on the windows of public transport than that Ashley sympathising old wanker.
  10. Aye but you could say that about any position. In modern football you won't see many Cafu's who end up at wheelchair pace. Pace is the second most important thing in the game. NUFC's best team since 1997 was SBR 2002-2004 team, it wasn't because they were the most talented (imo), it was because we had lightening quick pace, no club other than Arsenal had as many quick players like Bellamy, Dyer and Jenas.
  11. The blog is fantastic, it's written with humour, honesty, it grips you and is written in the style of what Gemmill would describe as a professional geordie. I met Mac before he got his cancer, and you could never imagine someone so young and full of life could get it, but it happens every day, will happen to 1 in 3 of us, and I'm honestly couldn't be happier that it's almost defeated. Chemotherapy is nee picnic, and it takes immense bravery, and soul searching to sit in a hospital for weeks on end being treated, it really must be like purgatory. I know this because I visited me dad every day for 3 months at the start of the year, he beat his bowel cancer, but it's now lung cancer, they won't treat it but till now it's extremely slow growing so he may be alive 6 months or maybe even 10 years. How people deal with cancer is different, but Mac has dealt with it better than I would have, he's remained positive the whole way through, and positivity beats it. I'd be moaning the whole time that I wouldn't see the toon win a trophy and end up deed. Magnificent the way you've dealt with it Mac, and you've gained massive respect off even people that don't really know you on twitter, for how you've handled it.
  12. You got a link showing the redevelopment cost £70m?
  13. I wish people would stop talking about Shepherd's debt like he fucking spent in Aspers or lost it down the settee. The VAST majority of it was the loan to rebuild the stadium. A worthy reason for getting in debt.
  14. I'll make another prediction as well, next season you'll see general attendances of 38-44,000. We'll generate £30m+ from sales, and Graham Carr will come up with a few £5m snips we've never heard of. Profit, profit, profit.
  15. Our turnover last season was lower than it was in 2003, who is to say with FFS in charge that we would've continued on the same financial path, certainly in terms of income, which would render the credit side as slightly irrelevant. We had the massive loan on the stadium, but that was largely the extent of the debt which Ashley whined about. What sort of arsehole buys a club without studying the debts with a fine tooth comb.
  16. The whole thing is a debacle, I had 62 points two weeks ago, and I still have now, the table isn't adding my points.
  17. You can't change it! At the end of the day only LBT and I said below 10th.
  18. Well I have been to referred to as Leazes Junior. Of course I take no satisfaction, I wish we were top of the league by 6 points, but imo what has happened this season was an inevitability, I feel no better about NUFC today than I did when we were drawing 0-0 at home to Bristol City in the CCC, we're no further forward in real terms, I'll only have genuine hope for the future when Ashley fucks off. Ashley privately will be gutted, because players like Cabaye will have slightly depreciated in value in my view, that's all he'll care about. I'd love to think he reads this board, you never know when he's bored one night he might think "waanda what thowse Norvun caants are syyin abaht me", and he stumbles across this forum, I hope he realises how little he is respected, how much he is disliked, and how the man on the street views him.
  19. Talk about calling it right. Only LBT of the regular posters can say the same
  20. The toon are aaaaaaaabsolutely shite, but in all honesty Sunderland are an even darker shade of shite than us. They have more hope cos their owner has shown he'll spend though.
  21. They'd sell NUFC tampons and bog roll if they could make a profit. We're living under a delusion the club is going somewhere, we're stagnant. The 5th place was a complete fluke, the fact Liverpool in 8th were +25 GD and we were in 5th with +5 says much.
  22. Well he's a billionaire. I bet no billionaire has ever bought a club as big as Newcastle or bigger and spent as little as he has. FFS had his faults, but I don't care what anyone says his prime objective was to make the footballing side as good as it could possibly be. He was a magnificent chairman from 1997 to 2004, his business acumen contributing to NUFC being Europe's 8th richest club. In 2004 our wage to turnover ratio was just 45%, he never once cheapened the brand of the club, like this bastard has, and more importantly for me, he was a geordie. Definitely a case of better than devil you know.
  23. Gene insinuating that CT is Paul Wyn here in case that went over anybodies head. Before a ball was kicked I said we'd come 12th, and I think we'll have to improve to come 12th. That was utterly disgusting that game yesterday. It reminded me of a 2-0 defeat at Charlton in 2001. http://nufc.com/html...1charltona.html The difference then was we had a good bloke pulling the strings (imo), now we have a billionaire who's absolute fundamental aim is to make money, as long as he's doing that, the performance on the pitch matters not a jot. Pardew is a weak man, Demba clearly running the show in my view, if that's the case either he or Pardew has to go. W3 D5 L6 after Stoke, that is not good enough for Newcastle United.
