  1. Well we're all different, we speak to our wives/girlfriends differently than we to our friends, tax inspectors and parents. 5 years of ridicule, bullying and scorn, doesn't reflect well on certain quarters imo.
  2. Well mebeez if yous all just admitted some of what he said was right he'd pipe down? Just a thought.
  3. Not as shit as Dunga.... I'll get me coat I think Hulk is worse iyam though Is there not a Fred knocking about as well.
  4. Haha I thought that, it must be a new trend though because there's a new player for them just called "Ralf". FFS some wank American sitcom aye, Brazilian NT no.
  5. South Beach aggro South Beach aggro hello hello!
  6. The mackem lasses when I worked there used to take the piss out of me for my pronunciation of trainers. Obviously you pronounce it trainaaazz, they'd go "hehehe no-ah eets trainussss" and I'd be like train ye in what?!?
  7. The slightest hint of a y in there, CONDEMNED!! Aye or anything like the way we pronounce Pea. Peehtahlaey! Only way to pronounce it. Another quirk is how mackems and peapul from Derrum pronounce Chester Le Street. They divvint pronounce the vowel in Le, its like saying Rob Lee how it should be said.
  8. Class players but nen of them would get in Barcelona's first eleven. IMO some of the jury will always be out till he wins a World Cup, and he's not as charismatic as Maradona. True, I just think the line of thought that, "Maradona made poor/average teams great," is a tired cliche. Ah too true. He was hardly playing for Mick McCarthy's Sunderland, but still a bit short of Barcelona.

  10. I think the ultimate test of mackemness is pronounciation of Peterlee.
  11. Agreed. Stick us back in Northumberland and them in Durham Just make them some sort of self-governed enclave, no reason why the good folks of Durham should get saddled with them Well we'd be back in the same county as Cramlington and Blyth so there's winners and losers on wor side too ye naa. Just curious where do all of you think geographically represents mackemness in terms of a map.
  12. I think Tyne & Wear should be abolished personally.
  13. 1 Man Utd 90 2 Man City 87 3 Arsenal 76 4 Tottenham 70 5 Chelsea 69 6 Newcastle 64 7 Liverpool 54 8 Swansea 52 9 Stoke 50 10 Sunderland 50 16 Blackburn 38 17 Bolton 33 18 QPR 29 19 Wolves 26 20 Wigan 26
  14. Whenever those of us that agree with Enrique have said similar, it's been argued (not unreasonably) that the purchase of Cisse evinced a turning point in the policy at the club. Without Cisse we'd be 7 points worse off and not in the top 6, so he's not wrong really. Even if you go with the opinion that we would be 7 points better off (which I don't btw) then we would still be fighting to be in the top 6, as we have been all season, so he is wrong really. Well who would get the 16 goals then? Shola?! Best?!?! Lovenkrands?!?!?!?!
  15. It's harder for him in the selection because he plays with better players in Barcelona. I think he is better than Diego, but if he played for someone like Napoli it wouldn't be as easy for him.
  16. West Brom (A) 2-1 Liverpool (H) - 2-1 Swansea (A) - 1-1 Bolton (H) - 2-1 Chelsea (A) - 1-2 Stoke (H) 1-0 Wigan (A) 3-1 Man City (H) - 2-2 Everton (A) - 0-3
  17. Be fair if people are going to accuse him of that, which is a shocking accusation to make, then surely there should be some evidence.
  18. I have Becks Blue some Fridays or Saturdays when I have a curry and dont want to drink. taste nice and is better than juice. Some people drink beer because it tastes nice, not just to get wankered Aye same here. Sometimes I just fancy the odd bottle in the house or garden and have no intention of getting drunk. I see it the same as sacharin or low fat spread. The key is what it tastes like. Have a look in the General Random thread.
  19. http://www.toontastic.net/board/topic/30474-newcastle-united-vs-west-bromwich-albion/page__st__220 Can't see Leazes taking the piss anywhere.
  20. He's a guy that gets more pleasure out of being right on the internet than seeing the team do well, he's even gone as far as posting smilies after West Brom equalised in the final game of last season meaning we finished in the bottom half. I don't think he's got any pleasure out of this season and won't until Mike Ashley matches all of the finishes the club had under Keegan and Robson. He likes to tell you about it too, preferably as often as possible in as many different threads as possible. I don't believe that for one minute.
  21. Penshaw Monument serves no purpose, when I was a bairn I thought it was built by the Romans or something, but nope it's only about 150 years old. from Wikipedia: On Easter Monday, 1926 a 15-year-old boy, Temperley Arthur Scott, fell to his death from the top of Penshaw Monument. The boy was with three friends and 20 other people when the accident happened. They had got to the roof through the spiral staircase situated within one of the pillars. Witnesses said that the boys went round the roof walkway twice before deciding to make a third circuit. However, Scott fell trying to avoid the other visitors by passing around an open end where there was no protecting wall. Afterwards the spiral staircase to the roof was closed and remained so until a special opening on 29th August 2011, when the public were granted access to the spiral staircase and views from the top of the Monument. This was an initial test to see if it was popular enough to open again for future one-off days. The National Trust did not take bookings, the public simply turned up on the day. It was so popular (over 2000 people), not all those who turned up got to go to the top of the Monument. Many were forced to leave their contact details and will be given priority on the next open day. How bored do you have to be? really? Well its either that or Silksworth Ski Slope, there's nowt else there.

I think because Sunderland and its surrounds were in Durham they included the lions, because they're on the Durham county badge too. Only reason I can think of?
