  1. Might be a case that we knew we wouldn't get an adequate reasonably priced replacement in January, and many toon fans wouldn't stomach the idea of him being loaned back to us till May, in the same way the Genk fans are with de Bruyne.
  2. I can tell you now in true Leighton Baines style Tiote's away to Chelsea for £23m in June. Why did it not happen in January? No idea.
  3. LM's contribution to this board is more than arguing about the board of directors and people lose sight of that. Respect your elders. As much as I don't respect anyone just for having been alive longer than me, I do like Leazes, whatever his views are or how frequently he repeats them. He's a character and the board is better for having him, whatever the ignorers and frustrated arguers say. Hope he takes the OP in the good humour it was intended. He tends to agree with me more than he does most others so I assume he knows it's just gentle coat tugging. Can't believe you're the one suggesting it's beyond the pale though, the stick you give some people. Same here. He agrees with me about various p.o.v. too. I know more about Leazes than most of you, and if you knew what I know, people would have a bit more respect for him.
  4. it's like you're inside my brain. Would be interesting to see LM do one about the NPDG's.
  5. On the morra neet this 9pm, the third in a fourth part series. You can watch last weeks one here as it gans.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01b434y

  7. Yours wouldn't be as big tbh. Stevie disagrees with a post? | | v "Mug!" hahaha what about if I agree
  8. I wondered about this to be honest. A kid I played football with when I was young, he's an accountant now, and we're meeting up in a fortnight, he'll put me straight.
  9. I can tell you now in true Leighton Baines style Tiote's away to Chelsea for £23m in June. The most gutting thing for me about this transfer window is Best knocked Celtic back, I was proper getting my hopes up he'd go there score 20 in 15 games, and we'd be rid of him for a big fee in the summer.
  10. You could make flow diagrams about lots of people on here.... Bit harsh imo taking the piss out of a bloke who's 56 years old. The FFS/Ashley/ambition/lack of ambition topic has been discussed to death, everyone roughly knows where each other stands on the issue, perhaps if there was a rule where no one discusses it for two month then things would improve?
  11. Very bad signing for Everton, £7m for Jelavic he's absolutely shit. 2 goals in 20 international games, he doesn't even look impressive mooching in the SPL. I love seeing Everton sign shit players, they're sinking further and further every year and they're not big enough to improve as they don't have enough money coming to compete with even Villa or Sunderland right now.
  12. Shola was much better than Best on Saturday as well. He won every header and was a "nuisance". Best looks miserable too, body language everything.
  13. He's not generally clueless like you but nar. Was easier to score.
  14. I find this whole selling Best ahead of Shola malarkey fucking mental. Best isn't great but he's head and shoulders above Shola in terms of skill, work rate, goals scored He's a lazy cunt and he's young, I've seen other people say Best works hard and it's a load of bollocks. Shola is more skillful by far when he can be arsed which isn't very often. Also Best's goal record is nowt to write home about neither.
  15. If you ever have the misfortune of watching a Newcastle game on Wearside it will be an eye opener for all of you. Watch a Sunderland game in town the opposition score you might get the odd laugh, if someone scores against us down there, it's like a family who have just seen their kid win £500,000 on deal or nee deal, and that's no exaggeration, there's no words do justice to their utter obsession with Newcastle United.
  16. Far be it from me to spend any more time than is necessary on here unlike some of your obsessed buffoons who log onto the SMB as soon as they wake up. What year was your lost major trophy win in by the way? It was before the Beatles formed wasn't it? Never won fuck all... You're the shittest poster I've ever seen on the internet. I was an excitable 20 year old once over, but I had first class cheek, and decent points to go with it. Saying we've "won fuck all" isn't an insult, it's a shining example of how thick you are, and how poor you are at this WUM game, if we've won fuck all, you've won fuck all minus 3. "Newcastle's a shithole" without Newcastle this area would have fuck all apart from the Northumberland coast. You live in a town which was a shithole bamps hovel when you had that steel works, but is now just a shithole bamps hovel where everyone is on the dole.
  17. What you going to do for a living now?
  18. I would love to see Leon Best go somewhere today, I don't even care if it's a free.
  19. As if any of those four would even get a second interview!
  20. Was the oligarch you mention called Khordokovsky or something like that? Show sounds interesting so thanks. Aye got it in one. He was worth £25 billion iirc.
  21. It will be very few peoples cup of tea like but I know Parky likes this sort of thing, but I've watched a series called "Putin, Russia and the West" on V+ recently and it's quality. The next episode is on Thursday on BBC2, and it's amazing how open it is. The first few series were about how Putin reduced taxes yet got more income in, by basically forcing the oligarch's to pay taxes. They were worried he'd take all their oil and fuck it off, but the richest oligarch was a real dissenter, so in the shadiest trial ever the Russians jailed him for 14 years, basically for campaigning for democracy when you look at why they did it. They seized his assets and sold the oil wells to Exxon. The next series was about the satelite states like Georgia and the Ukraine. Georgia basically got a centre right government and announced to the world they wanted to be part of the European Union. Putin was fuckin furious and he feels that all of the wests propaganda is imposing western ways of democracy around them, something clearly he's shit scared of. There was a bit about Litvinienko and this pathetic spy rock we had on Russia's streets, but the shadiest thing was about the Ukranian presidential elections in 2004. Putin did everything to rig the results, including poisoning the leading candidate with polonium from which he nearly died. He seems a bit paranoid Putin, and his crack at the end "Britain isn't a colonial power anymore, they should respect us, and then maybe we will respect them." Cheeky cunt. Come back when your the average wage is higher than wor dole you prick. Good show though, and I'm sure one or two of you will enjoy it.
  22. I don't know anything about them but my ex boss may I'll ask him tomorrow. Looking at a few comments on the net they will get you a database, but you won't necessarily get any direct interest. For £800 a year it's a lot for what it is.
  23. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treblinka_extermination_camp I read this last week, and if you don't like being upset don't read it, the bit where the blokes would go first and the women lined up outside hearing the screams of the dying men, and the women shitting themselves literally is up there with the most horrific things I've ever heard. I know we live in a free country, but anyone supporting nazi's should automatically be jailed in my view, without a doubt the most horrific thing in the history of humanity. I'd like to go on the trip you did KSA I know a few that have, but I'm sure I'd be effected by it for the rest of my life. Ideally a cracking trip would be to go when Wisla are playing Cracovia in the derby, looked mental on Danny Dyer's show. It's good to remember, and fair play to Gene for starting the thread, but confusing it with poppy wearing is pathetic.
  24. Thanks, you know what I find most appealling? The fact you can just take days off whenever you like, or go abroad or do anything without feeling your life is restricted. If I had exceptionally good months that's exactly what I would do.
