  1. Utter pish. Japan lost today to wait for it.....drum roll................NORTH FUCKIN KOREA. That team in our group, Montenegro are better than Japan.
  2. Well yous stood shoulder to shoulder in World War 2, like two twins of cuntishness which remains the same to this day. In fact Germany lesser so even. No wonder you felt that satisfaction.
  3. Teams like Spain come along once every 30 years. We're not technically good enough gauged against them yes. As Zathras book points out 6th or 7th best in the world is probably about our level looking at demographics, so why is it such a tragedy and such a failure?
  4. Of course it's our strength our best eleven have it in them to play like that too, but the fact is we're just not as good as we were. Take 2004, I don't give a fuck what anyone says we were the best team at that tournament. Maybe not in names, but in how we played we were. We got beat 2-1 off France and missed a pen at 1-0 and missed a host of other chances, completely robbed. We hammered a good Swiss side, who the reigning European Champions couldn't beat, and we beat a Croatia side packed with class players. 8 goals in a group game. All the football then was pacey, fast, attractive it was fuckin excellent. Then we went to Germany and I think mancmag touched on it, you can't play 100 mph football in 90 degree heat. It was the hottest summer in the history of Germany, and we were fucked. Everyone said it was a disaster but the fact is we were a penalty shoot out against a definitely inferior Portugal, away from a real 50/50 chance of making the World Cup Final. The fact is England are the 6th or 7th best team in the world and when you look at our population, amount of kids playing and everything else that goes with it, I think that's about right. Look at Brazil 190m people to wor 52m, they should be better than us, so should France, Italy, Germany, Russia, and USA as they have a bigger population of players to choose from. We think we're totally shite, but no one would choose to play us, we're totally shite because we have this unspoken belief that we should be challenging for the World Cup every time. It's a fine line in how to play though. Italy have been shite since Euro 2000. Yet they were world champions 5 years ago. I hate Italian football and Italy for lots of reasons, and that final against France they had 3 shots to France's 17, and I said I'd hate to win the World Cup like that, but that's what we've become. We could easily get to the semi's next summer there's no one to fear massively apart from Spain, but if I was Capello looking at our future, I wouldn't take Barry, Milner, Parker and if Gerrard's fit only ever play one of him and Lampard in the same team.
  5. We should beat Sweden every time, but we don't, that's our biggest handicap tonight. 1-1 draw..again. I'd say that's your biggest handicap in every game, tbh - the "we should win" attitude. Puts to much pressure on the team. Should be more humble and play to your strengths. Like against Spain. Wasn't pretty, but you won the game. Our strengths? What would you say our strengths are? Certainly playing direct football isn't one of them. OK, maybe "play to your strengths" wasn't a good description. I'm just saying Capello's more patient approach may be a good way to get results against some teams. I wouldn't write him off just yet. I like seeing England playing fast attacking skillful pacey high tempo football, like Man Utd do sometimes. That's our strength. Playing this slow tippy tappy bollocks is not our strength and playing the boring Italian defensive method isn't our strength neither. Having said that Italy have won World Cup's playing exactly like we did the other night but it's not England. To be fair the side we had out against Spain was a virtual reserve team anyway. Vi ar Svenska fans alle hoppa! Well yeah, I agree, that's the English way of playing and I love that, that's why I love English football. But, since England aren't among the very best teams in the world (I don't expect you to agree with me on that) that may not be the best way to get results when playing for example Spain or Brazil. So, you support Sweden now? Spain are head and shoulders the best team in the world. Argentina should be close but they're no where near. Germany have a good way of playing but they're not that much better than us if at all with a decent manager, the rest? You must be joking Holland, Portugal, England, France are all at a very similar level Brazil are shite at this moment in time and are in this second group, then for me there's a big gap to Italy, Ireland, Sweden, Croatia and Greece. We are ranked the fourth best team in Europe, 6th best in the world and I think that's about right. No but I like Sweden, was in the Sverige end when they lost 2-1 to Belgium in Brussells at Euro 2000. They drink like we do, I was shocked at how many pissed Swede cunts there were, not half hearted pissed, like Glasgow levels of drunkenness. Agree with most of that, although I'd say Brazil is still among the very best and I rate Holland and Germany above England. That group of teams below the very best is a crowded one. Teams like Russia, Ivory Coast are difficult to assess. Uruguay are a great team as well, not the greatest players but a great team. Aye, I suppose we do! Wait till we get another manager. Football is a fluid business, and before the 2010 WC even the Germans thought they were behind us. As for Holland, they're a decent side, but more than beatable. This is the worst Brazil in history, they need Neymar to be a legend and others if they're to win in 2014.
  6. Monthly not weekly! Paul opens his heart to WUW ahahahahhaha

  8. Aye spot on. It's second nature to them using chopsticks. Every time I've had a go there's more on me pants than in me mouth. Good point about East and West Africans too.

  11. Germany v Holland the neet. Class this youtube, shame I can't speak Dutch. 1:20-1:38 comedy gold. He has his hair pulled 3 times, kicked in the head, then slapped to the floor then nothing happens to the dutch pmsl. The mullet on Voller too. Was good v evil this. Koeman whips Matthaus arse with his top at the end of the game too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvXl9yC7dss
  12. 1990/1991 he was the best player in English football by a mile that was his greatest 12 month. June 90 to May 91.
  13. I think our natural size then (05-07) was fifth economically, income generation, stature. Today it's seventh, and with or without Ashley it would be 7th, unless we get investment. Turgid reading the same old debates.
  14. I'll be absolutely staggered if a bet on Man City -1 wouldn't come off on this game. Not that I'm putting a bet on that, but step too far this. Having said that they've looked shit in the odd game, Bayern/Napoli/Villarreal/Fulham come to mind.
  15. I didn't know that. I like India, and I like Indians generally apart from when you ring Virgin Media. It was said a decade ago that Leeds, Bradford and Birmingham/Villa would produce Asian players, not sure what went wrong there. They're shite at football. My arms only come down to the bottom of my rib cage, less of the flid references please. We're often pushed towards being doctors or going into computers rather than sports. Karaoke's my field like Gupta Singh, Manchester Is that Gedupta's fella?
  16. I didn't know that. I like India, and I like Indians generally apart from when you ring Virgin Media. You didn't know this either apparently you flid. So your FACTS about football being the number 1 sport in China were just made up I take it? Mug
  17. I didn't know that. I like India, and I like Indians generally apart from when you ring Virgin Media.
  18. Yeah, an Indian kid doesn't have world class players to look up and aspire to. That's what football culture is about. No coincidence that the NE of England has produced so many top class footballers. It's not the biggest area in terms of population, it's about football culture. Bairns in Newcastle grow up with Gazza, Beardsley, Shearer et al to aspire to. Who did a Swede ever have to look up to before Henrik Larsson? Jonny Ekstrom?? Thomas Brolin Gunnar Nordahl, Gunnar Gren, Nils Liedholm, Lennart "Nacka" Skoglund, Agne Simonsson, Ove Kindvall, Ralf Edström...do I need to go on? I thought you knew one or two things about football. I knew Gunnar Nordahl and his exploits in Serie A, but anyone else who says they've heard of the other ones is lying. You've never heard of the Gre-No-Li trio at AC Milan? No and not one person on here has neither.
  19. Yeah, an Indian kid doesn't have world class players to look up and aspire to. That's what football culture is about. 20. ...and the answer would be blacks are harder than us, unless you get a freak like the Klitschko's.
  21. None of it explains entirely why an area with 70% of the worlds population has literally produced no one. Alright they're too weak mentally and phsically and a load of them are ladyboys. Exactly, I alluded to that 10minutes ago. You always wonder when a self professed BNP voter starts up topics about Asians being shitter than us at something That wasn't my intention at all. I think while many people have made a few decent points, it is a fucking mystery of life as to why 70% of the world pop. have never, not one, produced a genuinely world class player. All of the things like training, league structures have a degree of merit, but surely if someone in say Shanghai was as good as Maradona, they'd come through and get noticed.
  22. Yeah, an Indian kid doesn't have world class players to look up and aspire to. That's what football culture is about. 23. None of it explains entirely why an area with 70% of the worlds population has literally produced no one. Alright they're too weak mentally and phsically and a load of them are ladyboys. I think this is probably the closest answer to the truth but it STILL can't just be that.
