Stoke 1 Blue Dippers 3 (definitely) Man City 0 Man Utd 0 Chelsea 1 Worst case scenario these, so that would still be us on 14 6 6 2 24pts. We'd still be on 6th place, can't see Liverpool getting more than 11 points between nuw n then.

That was always gonna get a frosty reception. As Danny B would say, up your game.

Planned ignorance, people who know something, but they pretend they don't and plead ignorance just to get on peoples tits.

Think I'd rather have Claudio Gentile like I would, even out of position at DM Aye, good point that like. Tell who was the best I've seen there (in Serie A) - Desailly. Aye he was absolutely class, although personally I'd say he was the second best in Serie A over the last 30 years behind Rijkaard. Complete fruitcake though Desailly. Thought Deschamps (the waata carrier) had a quiet efficiency about him too which people who watch but don't understand football could never appreciate, and if Paul Ince had've stayed longer he'd have been rated up there with any of them. People forget just how good Ince was at Inter, he got goals and was their player of the season. IIRC Moratti offered to double his salary at the end of 1997, but Ince decided to sign for the dippers instead. Deschamps was class too. Underrated really. Rijkaard was absolutely brilliant (equally so at CB) but I didn't actually see him play in Serie A very much so he didn't spring to mind. Redondo was fucking brilliant at DM as well by the way, but I digress. Redondo was mint like but he's best remembered for his time at Real, Simeone was a player and a half too, sly cunt though.

I hadn't till J69 got emotional. I repeat and I have no idea why this is hard to believe, outside of a few athletes like Usain Bolt, the odd golfer and tennis player, I DO NOT KNOW ONE yank sportsman. Usain Bolt's not American btw Is he not? He speaks like a yank.

CT has started to cast doubts at the holy shrine of the Bafra. My mate text me at half time at the match and said Ben Arfa's application was one of the biggest disgraces he'd ever seen. That's not good obviously. Do you have a theory behind it? I've got a theory but it's not appropriate for a family message board.

I agree re: Perch but apparently his second half show, and extra time were his best 75 minutes in black and white.

Aye I'm ganna have a look the neet.

The Living Planet was mint when I was growing up, was a proper education to watch it as a bairn, as was The Trials of Life. One of THE great British people in history is David Attenborough.

Guts, heart, character, passion, skill, endeavour - all words you could use to describe a team where only 5,000 of their (supporters) could be arsed to go. How can those words be applicable to a team that are apparently so poor the manager should be sacked immediately. They've played the 4th and 7th best teams in the country one after the other and had the better of both games. Fucking inbred wankers. Kean In.
-
How's that like? One of the few voices of sense on a Blackburn board. They've played well in the majority of games this season, and have been the equal if not better of the 5th and 7th best sides in the country two games running, yet they still fucking moan. Bunch of backward wankers. I hope Kean succeeds. From a Blackburn, forum, just goes to show they're not all clueless wankers. Anyway I'm not arsed me, I'd rather win at Stoke than there in the League Cup.

Reasoning behind supporting Newcastle United.
McFaul replied to south_cheshire_toon's topic in Newcastle Forum
How long a Toon Fan : 26 years Why the Toon : It's my home town club and everyone, literally EVERY single person in my family close and distant support the toon, even my nephews are converted living in London, even though the fatha supports Leeds, the key reasons why anyone should support a club imo Location : Newcastle Toon Games been to : 600 easily, easy 600. Probably split 500 homes 100 away - conservatively Where we have been / are going : We'll be alright this season think we'll come 7th or 8th, but we're just like a hen factory now, they've accepted we'll never be able to compete so will get the prices they can for our best players, probably starting next summer with the removal of Cabaye and Tiote. Probably destined to be relatively stable though while "Pards" pays off his casino debts, and can expect 7th-13th till we're bought out by someone with ambition. -
An overstated myth. To be honest as well finishing 4th, 3rd and 5th I wouldn't care if they were sniffing toot off Mo Mowlam's tit. He did have some grade A tits at the club to be fair. Dyer, Jenas, Bellamy, Robert, Bramble, N-Zogbia, Kluivert, Maric, Lua Lua. The dressing room would have been a nightmare, man! We came in the Champions League positions two seasons running after the club was staring oblivion in the face. He can't have lost the dressing room for that to have happened fact. FFS panicked and got rid, we only came fifth in 03/04 because of chronic injuries, we only lost 8 games, you don't only lose 8 games because the manager has lost the dressing room and can't control players, there were too many experienced pro's like Speed, Shearer and Given for that to happen anyway, total myth used as justification by FFS via Anal as part of the reason for getting rid.

Difficult to judge when there's such a variation in the numbers of games played, think it's just short of two thirds on average though, no great variation.... Points taken from home games.... Mackems - 65%. Man City - 65% Newcastle - 64% Villa - 63% Everton 63% Spurs - 62% Liverpool - 61% Chelsea - 61% Arsenal - 60% Man U - 60% When you shag your lass in December do you finish and get your chart out? "Wor lass, my calculations indicate that's the 11th time this year you've cum, while it also indicates you're on 76 for times faked, we need to get this ratio bettered next year." Never known anyone be more of a statto than yee. Soooooo the figures back up my point 5% is a big swing over 100 years It's a pretty statty thread like tbf I thought Spurs/Man City/Villa had Mug support but Man u were up there with the best. So it doesn't support your argument. Yes it does we're basically top of importance of the home crowd for points. Aye It's the reasons I'm not so sure about, given the spread of geography and quality of home support from the others. Unless Man City fans ARE up there with us and better than Man U. I'd be over the moon with 87 times a year and over 10% orgasm provision by the way. ahaha

I understand the point but the likes of Antonio Conte and Aron Winter were still in another league to him.

If you look at all of the teams it's quite clear there's a bigger disparency with us and the mackems in terms of home points gained and away than any other. We're more reliant on home form, don't know if that's because we've had the best support or the distance involved.

Was nearly as happy as I was when we sold Jenas when Parker left. He'd be alright in your 5 a side team as someone who sits in front of the keeper while everyone else fucks off upfront, but too slow in doing things, pretty far from top class and possibly THE most overrated player in European football.

Thinking back, the only other games i remember being at that year were Wimbledon and Sheffield Utd, both of which we won four nowt. Sure i went to more, but I don't even remember any of the goals from those either, more memory of Wise/Fashanu getting incredible abuse. I was more of a RBJ in all honesty. Only got to a few games each season until I left Uni and could afford a season ticket in 2001. That Wimbledon game he fell oot with Cole and Clarkie, and they both had one of their best games for the toon that day. It's radge I remember things about games 20 years ago better than two. For instance I can't even remember the scores against Scunthorpe, Peterborough and Blackpool in the CCC but I was there.
