If you're under 30 years of age, or so, you can't be anything other than a so called "fairweather bandwagon jumper". Depends if you then stopped going once the good times had gone. Late 97 to 2001 was a pretty dire time to be a toon fan like. We only got to the Cup Finals because we had piss easy draws both years. I sold burgers in the ground every home game during the 98-99 season. Terrible times! Well something had to pay for those pinball machines.

As usual, you're talking fucking shit. Basketball isn't even on telly, so how the fuck are people supposed to have heard of him? We're not even exposed to basketball. If I did a survey of all my mates, everyone I know, I reckon 30% would have heard the name.

I saw the same report and didn't hear 'world' mentioned. The whole reason for the hook up is so that he actually can raise his profile outside of the States. ''arguably the most recognizable name and face in professional sports today'' The actual words, and referring to his status in America. Given he was talking about global branding and then said that quote, I'd argue he was intimating LeBron James is "arguably the most recognizable name and face in professional sport" across the world. Which he isn't. He's not even the most recognisable face in professional sports in the states, that would still be Woods or Beckham. Exactly. Are professional sports not played outside of America. You're spot on Fish, he was referring to global branding, i.e. the most recognisable face in world sport. I hope if and when someone rich buys us, it's not some yanks to be honest. In five years when they realise it's almost impossible for a club like Liverpool to seriously compete with the other clubs for the title they'll sharp get bored imo.

Board wars? Never. If there were board wars I'd be like Kofi Annan.

When I was about 10 years of age I was bought this 1,000 page beautiful blue book called The Chronicle of the World. It's basically the story of the mankind, chronologically. Every important bit of history, and as sad as it sounds I was fascinated by it, read it cover to cover and the end result was I had a sprinkling of knowledge about every major historical event ever. Most of it is gone, but it can come back if it's part of a conversation and you think how the fuck did I remember that. I was just interested in history, geography and humanity. I could tell you things about places I've never been and will never go to, just found it all fascinating as a kid, not as much as football like, but that's where I got my knowledge from. Also television plays a big part, I'd watch all the stuff every other kid did, but I'd watch fuckin "Everyman", "World In Action", "Horizon" and "Dispatches". Sounds a bit sad really 10 and 11 watching that type of show, but I don't think so, broadened my knowledge, and I was only happy when I was learning something new. Some parents sit their kids in front of cartoons 15 hours a day and wonder how they end up brain dead in later life.

Just seen SSN there. Some yank connected with Liverpool was sat in a yank studio next to "Lebron Jameson". This yank businessman goes "Lebron is arguably the most recognisable face in world sport", well I'll tell you honestly to god, I'd never heard of this cunt. I don't even know what sport he plays, someone might say how do you not know him?!?!?! Well I don't but it sums the yanks up, that they think someone no cunts ever heard of is more famous than Messi, Ronaldo or even Rooney. Whatever sport he's in they're using him as a marketing tool worldwide for Liverpool, why bother?

Think that's a more recent photo. Fuckin hell. Who's the cunt Pissi on there Chez? Was he on there when I was? Has to be a youngun to be that offended. Big lads when they know I can't retort aren't they? The type who hide behind the anonymity of a screen and would most like shake at the thought of face to face communication with me.
-
Is that him Chez? He's like Barney off the darts but 15st heavier.
-
Toss up between him and Smith, the overhead kick he tried put him on the same level as Perch, can't mind who it was against but it was hilarious. paulwyn42nufc surely has more agility than that.

Aye 8 hours in front, midneet 7.5 is still a considerable size earthquake.

Seems like a prick to be honest, par for the course though. Apparently I have a screw loose because I dismiss clueless people's comments. I'm a patronising prick, always will be when it comes to people who don't know what they're talking about. I can't be that clueless if I win football poster of the year on the nets best toon site? It will always be the major flaw in my personality being patronising, sue me. It seems the lad is a very poor mans Fop although very early to judge. People like him and many others didn't exist within the club 15 years ago. They'd be watching Northampton Rugby Club, or VHS recordings of the Open University on a Saturday. Anyway, we don't want board wars. What does Kaizero look like? I have a picture of John Arne Riise in my mind but fat even more ginger, with a chin 3 inches closer to his forhead than him even, from your description. Honest to god, like Bubbles off Trailer Park Boys. funny shit He's a canny enough lad though that Dave. Bit of a fence sitter, but that's not always a bad thing.

Tell you what Stevie, if Simpson leaves in the Summer Im holding you personally responsible. Well hopefully Alan Smith can call them United too and I can do the business there. 90% of you were saying DS was shite in October. I like Simpson, he's probably a decent lad too, if a bit dense, good age for us too.

It's my last post on this topic, I won't be responding to other mongs about this neither. Now firstly I'm not of these people who go out of their way to abuse out of town Newcastle supporters, they have as much right to support the club as residents of the city do. However, in Newcastle no one ever, unless you're basically a passive football fan who claims to be a passionate Newcastle fan when things are going well, no self respecting person would EVER refer to Manchester United as "United". That's a fact, however many people want to debate that is fine, but I'm well placed to say that if I was in a pub in Newcastle and referred to Man Utd as "United" I would expect to be abused, but I'm not dense enough to do it, when my own clubs name has United in it. Now people from far flung places like Jersey, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, fuckin Wales are probably more used to hearing the term "United" as the one phrase to describe Manchester United. Sky have fuelled this down the years, to the point where our title summit meeting with them in 1996, was billed as Newcastle versus United. Now I understand how United is part of out of towner expression. It isn't here though amongst fans of the club for years. It pisses people off, people who live in the area and are not basically internet toon fans, people who go to games, who are your hardcore UNDERSTAND this. Younger people even from the toon a lot of them haven't got a clue and don't. People like Craig who do understand EXACTLY where I'm coming from. No one is getting emotional here other than people defending his usage of the term "United", but for an employee of Newcastle UNITED (and I'm repeating myself here) to refer to another club as United (when its on a forum where 10000 people are probably geordies who pay his wages), it's dense and ignorant. If people don't want to admit that, they can suck my chod, but I'm not reading shite off young rent boys who probably haven't even been going 5 years telling me I'm wrong on this subject. Regarding his character, if he's so precious about criticisms from people, and mine was very minor but justified, they shouldn't add 20000 people on twitter. Imagine if Robbie Savage took constructive and non-constructive criticisms to heart. At the end of the day players are passengers, supporters are not, and I and others didn't like the use of United, and never will, that's it. The end. I will add when he was being heavily criticised on here, and at the match, I was a lone voice saying he had ability and people were harsh towards him.

It truly frightens me how robotic people are. Imagine having such a devoid sense of irony waking up every day like that. You might as well just be a computer. Thank fuck there's not that many of these types on here. You can slander the lad all you like but his point still stands. There's only one UNITED, and that's NEWCASTLE UNITED. That shite you've posted there is an absolute disgrace.

Tiote all day for me. I think we've had players come in and make even more of an impact, but they were players we expected lots from, like Les, Peter, Shearer, but no one expected anything from Tiote. £3.5m from a dutch team, I was expecting a slightly better Amdy Faye. He's absolutely immense, and I honestly believe he could play for any team in the world. I think with his little passes and amazing pass completion ratio, he'd even be ok in a DMC role for Barcelona.

Shocked at Stevie like - saw the title and assumed it was the stupid Irish teen cunt. There's only one United mate you know that, 18 times league champions, 3 times Champions of Europe (soon to be 4), 10 FA Cups, only one United, always has been, always will be.

good summary To be honest I think I was a lot more diplomatic than I should've been, it's not my job to explain to a NUFC employee for 18 months, what is acceptable and what isn't in terms of what to say and what not to say. Shows how little these players embrace the culture of the club. MattM4 did to me till this episode. What about Hansdownerpantz - name says it all? The only problem with MattM4 is that he's a KBJ who now hates Keegan Incredible really. Seems to be like a bit of a disease on that board. I'm not on about all Gejon before the beeper explodes, but some of the views, en masse too. Breaks my heart to think Keegan may have read that (small chance) but you never know. Everyone is entitled to their opinion though, I don't think there should be a totalitarian view that one view is right everything else is wrong, but on Keegan and this, I do.

You agreed with me last night, so because I've clarified my position to tools who have questioned it, I'm now blowing it out of proportion? I'm not saying transfer list the cunt! I'm saying I don't think a Newcastle player with 15,000 toon fans on his twitter should be as disrespectful as to call a club who aren't his employers "United". That's my stance, it's the type of issue where you can predict who will hold what view to be honest. This Bottled Dog abusing from a place where I can't retort, cowardly non-event cunt. I wouldn't disgrace myself by posting on what is in effect largely an under 25s out of town board. I should however learn to accept that we don't have the fans, or the profile of fan we once had to be fair though. I agreed with you last night too, doesn't mean I don't think you're going akka over something which in the grand scheme of things is nowt more than a pet fucking peeve Ok, I've said my piece, I'm right, so are people who agree/agreed with me, every cunt else is wrong [/LeazesMag] I'll pipe down now [/not LeazesMag]

I'm mortally wounded that someone as important as you holds my views in such poor regard. Nobhead.
