I certainly don't think we have improved massively over last season. I think at the start of the season we defended much better as a unit and at that time we had a positive goal difference. This was due to lack of goals conceded rather than scored. I've not checked, but it feels like the defence was unsettled once we lost Taylor and then Tiote as we defended as a team and players like Perch and Williamson were brought in. Tbf I dont recall a lot of glaring errors from Perch but as a whole unit defensively we regressed. As said, I think addressing the defence with a new full back and centre half would go to improving this next season. Equally though I do think Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool with strengthen in the summer and in the middle of the table. As it stands I can see us being "best of the rest" but still think top 6 will be tough to break in to without specific key investment in the squad.

I ordered and have today received 3 so I thought I'd review them. I've used a few different places to get these done. the metro centre is the most expensive place I know and while the quality and finish cant be questioned, I see no reason to ever use them. A place called Snapmad off the net which has a good upload website where you can manipulate your selection etc. these are the ones I've used mostly. With these three I had done I emailed Henda's brother and once I made the payment I had the canvas in a few days. Each was individually wrapped with bubble wrap and in its own despatch packet. Delivered by courier. They have been printed with a coloured border on the sides (applicable to the image itself). They are well printed, stapled and assembled. There is no hanging fixings but for the cost these were done at I find that fine as these are easy to pick up. All in all, done fast and well handled. Certainly recommend it to anyone on here thinking of getting some done.

Completely agree. I'm sure he wants to play in the centre but much like we did with Barton I'd think he is the best option we have for the right.

Enrique was sold because he wouldnt even sit down to talk about a new contract let alone disagree to one iirc. Cant remember now. Certainly wasnt sold for profit. He was gash in his first year but made his mark when we were relegated and continued that form. Went off the boil a bit once he wanted out. Too soon to be judgemental on Santon though imo. Looks canny so far though. My point stands from the other thread though. You can take the new contracts two ways - Positive - We tie down half of the spine of our team. Two of the best performers this season to long term contracts. Both players are happy and the wont be "doing an enrique" Negative - We've only signed them so we can increase their sell on value Im not saying they wont be sold, Im saying there is no way to tell when. Could be 4 years. No one knows. But them signing a new contract cannot be a bad thing.

It's near impossible to account for the £35M to the penny unless you suggest no other funds have been put into the "pot" since that time. I think the "pot" includes wages as well as fee's etc.

Good point made by that (and other places he has said it) that Colo signing also makes it easier for Krul to sign whereas if Colo didnt sign or reach a deal then perhaps others would also think twice.

Who said that these contracts are being funded by the Carroll transfer? The fact that someone has added up the cost of the contract over its lifetime is a reflection of the desire to communicate the reality of these sort of deals for me. I see the administrators of Rangers have set a deadline for the anticipated (by me) sale of the club. be interesting to see if any sale happens before they demand getting rid of some players. The players offered to defer some salaries to the end of the season but the administrator declined as while that assist immediate cash flow it doesnt stop the losses.

so a club like NUFC - with the 14th biggest revenues in football - have to sell their best players to fulfill what should be operating costs of the level such a club ought to be able to compete at ? How much revenues does a club need exactly to not have to do this? Those I did get I wasnt that pleased with. This was likely the best one and oddly the only mono (the rest, naturally full colour to make most of the light effect. Btw the pen that was saved (Ba) should have been retaken as the keeper was well off his line. Shola wasnt offside either,someone was, Ba maybe, but didnt interfere with play.

Id like to see Santon behind HBA. A new LB behind Jonas. A New centre half as well at least better than Williamson, ideally better than Taylor.
