So, despite being relegated and all the shit PR the club has been through of late, we still command one of the highest turnovers? Not that it's that relevant when bottom line is more important to a business. But as Stevie and I discussed on Twitter, as he said it's a good indicator of our progress. With an improved league position and the Virgin deal as said, I'd expect more positive results next time around (again).

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
JawD replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Fickle? fuck me. I'll tell you about Fickle. It's insisting your manager (Bruce) is not a Geordie in any way shape or form until you are staring relegation in the face and then saying thats what the problem is- 10610 replies

I remember that game as well. I remember being fucked off at the end of the game. I didnt stay back. I remember just walking out feeling "low". Never been one to boo, I find it fucking odd behavior for a bloke anyway. It wasnt all about that game though from memory, there was a tension at the club for a while and not aimed at SBR.
-
Boils my piss people saying "you wanted SBR sacked" to anyone. I dont know a single person who did. Sure, there we the odd boo after a game but that doesnt equate to wanting someone sacked. There were questions being raised about him losing his grip because of the players seemingly not giving a shit (the young kids at lease, like Bellamy) and thats why FFS got rid and brought in GS. The fans though, and I dont know a single one who thought different, said that Bobby should remain at the club, go upstairs so to speak and bring someone in to work alongside him as manager (bobby as DoF). No one wanted him sacked.

Aye, laughing all the way to the bank eh.

You all have had a great season thus far. Where in the table do you see Newcastle finishing? Do you have what it takes to finish about Arsenal, Liverpool, or even Chelsea? - Think it will be close run. Wont keep up with Chelsea but do think we may be around the other two. 7th. Where do you see Spurs finishing this season? - 3rd It seems like many Newcastle fans questioned the hiring of Alan Pardew at first. What are your thoughts on him now? - He talks well in front of camera. Almost too well. But you can't question what he has done. Kept the togetherness we had under Houghton and progressed us further. What is your opinion of Harry Redknapp? - Bit of a twat really isnt he? Taps up players without batting an eyelid and moans like fuck when its done to him. That said, good manager. Would you take Andy Carroll back at a reasonable price or have you moved on from him completely? Do you think he'll ever be able to regain his form at Liverpool? - Like many have said I dont think he suits their current play style. More that than his loss of form. I would have him back but he wouldnt start every game. We dont have strength in depth in that dept so would be good back up. Are you surprised at the team's form after losing Nolan, Carroll and Barton in a short space of time? - Not when you see the quality of their replacements How highly do you rate Tim Krul? Do you fear losing him in the summer? - One of the best in the league on current form. Oddly, I dont fear losing him. Who is your favorite Newcastle player to watch play? Favorite Spurs player to watch? - Quite a few of our players are good to watch now. Colo at the back though, calming influence. For you I think Modric. Who are your top transfer targets in the summer and how many pieces do you need to add to be a legitimate top 4 threat (if any)? - To consistently go for top 4 we'd need a fair few. New LB, CH, RM would be a start. First and foremost we need a centre half. Taylor and Colo are good, but no depth at all. Finally, what is your prediction for the match? Who scores? Would love us to nick a point but can't see it. 2-1 to Spurs with Bale and one other to score (reckon Bale will skin Simpson sadly), For us, I could see Ba continuing his run. Shame we are missing our CMs for a decent game. Guthrie is doing well though tbf.

Perfecto. Though couldnt you see Harry going to England and them getting Jose...

Ok, I know, Im asking you to reply again Is it not possible then that using your format of "been here before and seen it fail", the same could be used against SJH? Bought the club, built it up, sold it off for a tidy sum thank you very much. So, lets say Ashley sells as you want, is it not possible that we could say the same will happen again as we have seen it before? they build up the club and then sell it off with potential consequences. Alternatively, Id like to turn your argument on its head, is it not also possible for MA to sell the club and a worse owner to come in? We are sitting in 5th right now and europe looks a possibility. He could get us there and sell it then the next person has the same learning curve, makes their own mistakes and takes us down? As we have crudely found out through relegation, be careful what you wish for?

I agree. I've tried to give people the benefit of my knowledge of the club, they seem to accep it when its about players, managers, away games etc, but not when its about the politics, for some strange reason. Anyway, I will let them live in their own delusion now until it all becomes crystal clear, unfortunately. If people want to keep things "all in one thread", how about posts arse-licking Mike Ashley also being all in one thread ? The irony and hypocrisy of some posts in this thread is astounding, and that's the last I'm saying on it too. Tbf LM, I think you have good knowledge of the past but you blend knowledge and opinion. You use your knowledge of what has happened previously to present an opinion, not necessarily fact. Because it is an opinion, people are inclined to agree or not. I try to engage you in football discussion and I ignore any snide remarks made, mainly as I cant be arsed. I think the problem many, including me, have is that your view of the past seems to have blindfolded you to what is going on at the club right now. You seem unable to say or agree to anything with any amount of positivity about the current season because of its influence by the current owner. The impression is such that even if we qualify for Europe this season you wouldnt congratulate him but say it is nothing unless he does more than we have in the past? You also seem to have an all or nothing approach. It seems that you think someone is either 100% behind Ashley or not. I think this is what gets peoples back up when the reality most people are 50/50.
-
I'm interested in the club, now and past. But why it has to be now v past is fucking tiresome. Whether its LM posting the same tirade or those baiting him because of it, it's all bollocks. We're in a completely different point in the clubs history. Much like we had time under various other regimes. People need to move on and take where the club is now on its own merit. I think most people on here are the same. Dislike most stuff Ashley has done to the clubs identity, dislike the grand fuck ups made leading to our relegation. However, enjoy our position in the league right now and the squad we currently have. Talk about the 50s 60s 90s or whatever but don't derail every fucking thread to do so. Cant believe some of the comments tbh or point of views. Like a playground at times.

As per other thread. A few people were asking about these on Twitter - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Digni%C2%AE-Senegal-Wristband-sweatband/dp/B005NG9O80

Been discussing him at work today. Even without the goal he'd have had a cracking debut. Seems to have slotted straight in to the way we play and is overall contribution was sound.
-
Never been a fun of him like and for all his effort and occasional highlight he's been mostly average. That said, we could do without losing a forward. Id still be tempted to have HBA as a back up forward rather than midfield/winger.
-
The whole thing is bollocks. That was a shocking challenge and the BBC didnt even mention it, you could just see it to the side of the picture when we scored. Same old.
-
Had a disliking for him for years. Always came across as a right twat. Dislike him even more for being one of the better pundits now. How dare he made me think he is canny

Used to play it when I was a kid. Part of the junior unkitted division in the north east late 80's. I enjoy it, but never sit and watch full games. Patriots are actually the team I follow. Wouldnt say I supported them as such. That goes back to SBXX when they got stuffed (new record at the time) by the Bears. I wanted to follow the under dog so I kept an eye on them the next season and I can remember them getting to the play-offs but going to to Denver (Dan Marino if you remember him). So it went on from there. Now I look out for their scores and try and catch highlights on sky etc. Was not like that when I was a kid and I used to listen on long wave radio for the US Forces transmission to hear a live game.t

Demba 1, Demba 2, We've got more Dembas than you. With a nick nack paddywack, both can score a goal, Geordie boys from Senegal (cheers @Toontastic, enjoyed that doing the rounds on Twitter today)

I unfollowed him today. I'm sure he'll be gutted like.

I used to keep a dream diary. Was actually pretty interesting and I can still remember a few of them now. You often remember your dream on waking but forget it moments later. so you keep a book at your bed and write it down. Lad I work with never ever remember his dreams. I remember a fair few. I think its because I have kids that wake me so Im often light sleeping or sleeping in that bit when you dream (before deep sleep).
