Good shout, he'd be excellent along side Carroll. Oh, hang on....
-
I hate Ashley's guts but even I'm not blaming him for Carroll handing in a transfer request. See my post earlier for what I think happened. Carroll putting a request in is not what forced this through man. He wanted away and Ashley wanted the cash. He was going, with or without the request. Totally agree. i think it was just suggested to him to put in the transfer. Its better for NUFC and speeds up the process.

£80K per week apparently. He'd never get that here. dont blame him for one second. Greedy? Who cares. If its on the table, well over double what he gets here. Good move for player and us potentially. But equally potentially bad for both. Take Given, I reckon he regrets leaving. Not sure AC will though for footballing and financial reasons.
-
Well, this ITK didnt last long.
-
Will be Crouch.
-
Cant believe people are taking this transfer request as a straight up wish for AC to leave. All too convenient for Ashley imo. Deflecting stick away from him to the player.

Its windy in here like...

I give up me like

So, whats plan b? Oohhh.

I think judging how good a deal £35M for AC is depends on what is done with the money. Banked and never seen again? Bad deal. Re-invested in players that improve the first team like two forwards and a winger? Good deal.
-
Course Liverpool scallies will buy him with a bag full of dodgy £20's.
-
Well the PC was just the Fulham one. Not specifically for a signing. I dont know why they would have Ireland there if he is just a loan signing. Maybe Pardoo is too busy.
-
Everything and nothing. If that helps. It could mean we have agreed to sell and the club want to prepare a statement. It could mean we have sold and lined up a replacement and want to unveil him. It could mean we've ran out of teabags.
-
Just read that myself. Wont happen today.
-
If a £25M bid is true, I can't see how we could say no. The cynic in me says we told them to come back later with the offer, lessening the chance for us to re-invest. If he did go, not replacing him is madness. Though, Pardoo does have faith in Best and Shola £30m bid rejected according to the Press Association. Whether that's just holding out for more or a real statement of intent remains to be seen. Sorry guys 35m for carroll is a good deal, I know I'm going to get shot down in flames here but there you go Good deal? I'd bite their hands off if I thought we would re-invest well.

Talk now is that we will accept a £35M offer on AC from Liverpool later today. In one sense I'm thinking "thats fucking silly money, take it" but on the other "how the fuck can we replace him with those funds before the day is out. Or is that the whole point..."
-
I was just thinking, can you imagine how much it will be rammed down out throats by the club? The fact they didnt cash in on AC when they had the chance and what potential cost this is to MA? His agent must be ready to jump of a bridge somewhere... Or use this as a tool to negotiate his nexy contract (thankfully not close)

As said on Twitter, this is likely to be the domino transfer.
-
Speak volumes that we spend the window hoping certain players will stay more than ones that will join. Kinda shows where we are now.

I hate this arguement. The definition changes depending on who is making the arguement. For me it's not black and white, yes or no. It's a sliding scale. Of course we are not one of the four biggest clubs in the country not by a long shot. I think there is a huge gap from the likes of Man Utd to us. But, I do think we are one of the top 6-7.

He often gets involved with stuff over here. I know the lad that is his UK contact and I've arranged a few things through him. In april I'm taking some customers over to Milan to see the derby and part of it is having a dinner with him. Top bloke.

Well you can quite happily make sums that relate to other sheets. Just have those open at the same time when you make the sum. For example you could say something like: =SUM(B36*[youotherworkbookname.xls]Sheet1!$G$36) But you just click the cell in the relevant sheet as part of your sum. Is this what you mean?
