Rhyl Worked there about 10 years ago and went out on the piss for a night.

I would if * It was thoroughly transparent (you know how a social club gives its members a statement of affaird once a year?) * It was a supporters club with no agenda against the club (just interests that help the fans)

So any time we sign someone now is it going to be "this is the player who could have crossed / passed / assisted Andy Carroll" ?
-
Free role off the forward I'd think at the moment.
-
Also amusing all the conspiricy theorists that will believe it is signs of aliens whilst dismissing rational arguments. Its a fake BTW. Fuck me, well done Sherlock
-
If thats the case, which I can well imagine it is, we should also have the wages value from the AC sale.
-
Should stick around the photography forum then and give us all some pointers

Prick. Anyone with half a brain knows that Shearer took a poisoned chalace when he agreed to try and stop the club being relegated. You cant blame relegation on those last 5 games, fucking idiot.
-
Great choice! Used to love Chorlton. Yes, I was a little scared of the witch Was so many I remember though, Battle of the Planets, Bagpus, Moschops.
-
Who by? The player? The Club? The Agent? Aye, all is likely.
-
No, you get a grip. We'll lose that much if we go down as we might well do now we've lost our main goal threat. £35m, no doubt embezzled by an owner who doesn't have a history of sanctioning big money deals. £35m, that can't be reinvested in replacing him for the remaining games in which to save our season. I'm stunned that anyone out there - be they Toon fan or not - thinks this is a good deal. This was an excellent deal up until the point of the window closing. Selling that player for any amount and not replacing him makes this potentially be a suicidal deal. This will be the season of what ifs.
-
An all to familar feeling, it wont be the last.
-
You fucking idiot. 35+15 of his own money which he would have to of spent before the AC sale. Your the fucking idiot Gemmill. Do one you acidic little troll. Ok, joking aside. You really expect MA to give Pardoo £50M to spend in the summer? Fifty Million Pounds?

Likely formation

If the likes of Caulkin are there, I hope they drag them through the dirt. We didnt want to sell Carroll asked to go No time left to replace but we did try

The player only talks to Liverpool if the club tee it up for him. Which puts it back on the club's willingness to sell. Of course, anything else would be breaching the rules. The club's willingness to sell any player is based on their 'price'. All players have a price, ergo they are willing to sell all players. Its the players decision. As for your scenario dreamt up whilst watching it unfold on twitter. 'We dont want you Andy, you're not welcome anymore' 'Seriously? Am gutted' 'Yeah and hand in a transfer request while you're at it' 'OK' Least plausible scenario. Aye canny. Apart from that isn't what I said happened. As soon as I read "The club reluctantly accepted the transfer request" I knew it was bollocks. The Journo's said early in the day that the club had set their price. It was said later that Liverpool would make a second bit and it would be accepted. This was all before Carroll put in his request. The club lies, constantly. We know that. Good luck to Carroll imo. £80k pw? and we think he should knock that back? It's in no way justified and I still think footballs (and transfers) should give 10% to local communities, but Im more pissed that we've done fuck all to replace him than I am him leaving.
-
100% spot on imo. I was bleeting on about this yesterday. Was doing my nut in reading fucking idiots on twitter going on about AC being the same as Bent and so on. The club reluctantly accepted? How fucking thick do they think we are?
-
I've already committed to not renewing like. Thats it for me.
-
Aye. Waste of space this joker like.
-
Selling Carroll for £35M is a good deal on our behalf. Not replacing him this window is fucking madness. I said at the time that too many people were being naieve if they thought it was as simple as Carroll wanting out. I know there are these texts from AC saying he was being forced out. Sure, the £80kpw would soften the blow but I reckon it was the clubs intention all along. Yet again, the club have taken the piss out of fans by talking utter bullshit.
-
As per BBC fella on Twitter. People need to realise that club accepted Liverpool offer before transfer request from Carroll. Seems the request was done just to smooth the way for it to happen. Club let him know they would accept the offer, then he handed in request.

who will see NUFC as a progressive club now Stevie ? I don't think anyone did to start with. Maybe this could be what we need to progress, he wasn't prepared to put anymore of his own cash in, perhaps this is our transfer budget now, you can sign 3, 4, 5 good players with this money. Liverpool didn't think so ? Because they're mugs? Arsenal wouldn't dream of it, who's the bigger club Arsenal or Liverpool, Arsenal by far in my eyes. The only time I'd be happy for us to spend £35m on one player is if we had a filthy rich sugar daddy, or we were getting a proven world class player. AC is the 8th highest transfer fee in human history. I agree that every player has his price, even ManU couldn't hold onto Ronaldo when Real Madrid came in for him - albeit he had won everything with ManU so he had professional motives to move too - but lets face it Stevie, Mike Ashley has done today, what some of us had knew he was going to do at some stage. And more will now come on the back of this, because don't kid yourself, the likes of Enrique, Tiotte and even Ben Arfa and Collocinni will now be wondering what sort of club they are playing for, and prospective signings will also see us as a stepping stone and that is all. Ill tell you what, I'm fucking gutted that he's gone, but you coming on here thinking that it proves your point helps me gain a whole lot of fuckin' perspective on this. Do you genuinely think that Shepherd would turn down a £35,000,000 profit on a player that hasn't even played a full season of top flight football? Get fucked Leazes. It's really fuckin' shit that he's gone and the way it's been dressed up, but go fuck yourself. I'm not talking about the old board, but as you mentioned them, they didn't sell anybody like this for record fees, only players the manager wanted to sell. They bought the best players from other clubs, the reverse of what has happened today. I'm more bothered about Mike Ashley. Surely even a dickhead like you can now see what an utter cunt he is and that he is a shit owner and the sooner he has gone the better ? Not quite as I recall. Hamann?

I agree with that but think thats been the case for a few years now. Mental amount to pay for AC and I cant see how we could refuse (Journo's were saying way before AC transfer request that we had said business could be done at £35M). If spent well that could solve a lot of our problems of squad depth. Trouble is, Im not convinced we will spend it well. This is us though. Try and develop young players to sell for good mark up (mental mark up in this case) and use money to facilitate an average mid table team. Self financing just like MA wanted. Reluctantly accepted his transfer? Fuck off, they'd have been rubbing their hands with glee.
