Statements today saying the £60K figure in the press is incorrect (from the Taylor camp). Tbf I woulnt put it past the club at all to leak this kind of rumour to turn fans against the player and take flak away from them.

I dont rate him that hightly. Decent by our own standard but being home grown has made him be elevated above his real value. Quite prone to errors iyam.

Campbell, Colocini, Williamson, Perch and Kadar can all play CB so it's not our weakest position. not our strongest either when you look at that lot Where do we have more strength in depth then? do we have strength in depth anywhere? i don't think we can afford to lose any senior players really, unless they're replaced with better quality. easy to get carried away when you've just won a game no on fancied you to six nowt but i still reckon we're in for a long hard slog. of a season. taylor isn't the greatest, but he's a senior defender. i'd put him above perch, kadar and possibly campbell (until we see if he loses his love handles and gets his pre-honeymoon form back) That didn't answer my question tbh. my answer is i don't think we're strong in any department so can't afford to lose a senior player, despite him not being as good as he thinks he is. when he's fit, he's almost certainly in the starting 11. Yes, but that doesnt mean he gets an open chequebook. He has to be paid within the current system. Whatever that is. Last thing we want is one player being singled out and breaking the mould, pissing off the rest of the squad.

Do I want him to stay? Yes. Do I want the club to be held at gun point over high wages? No. Transfer negotiations seem to have been a pain in the arse with him for a while now. For me £40K pw is more than a good deal.

You're like his boring, bigger brother so it doesn't surprise me in the slightest you taking this angle, you sensible cunt.

A Geordie scored a hattrick tbh Undone by your own stupidity. As usual Fuck me, if ever there was a well thought out post

I thought they were going to be canny when I first sat down. Then I realised their banter was shite and they shut up after 5 mins. Total silence after that apart from one round of "your support is fucking shit" and a few minutes near the end.

Aye thats what I picked up on in my post in the match thread. Wondered that as well as prob the lowest opening attendance in the premiership (for us), has he also managed to piss of the match day sponsor (collingwood or whoever) No it wasn't, because for a lot of the PL years the ground only held 36,500

Indeed. While our next run is supposedly easier than most, we'll still have a hard run to come. We need to make sure we get as many point as we can so we are prepared for coming up against a run like theirs. I honestly couldnt give a stuff about them and still expect them to finish above us at the end of the season. They'd want shot with shit if they didnt. Well, most of them you'd think already had been but thats another story.

I right enough like. Though I think CH is a good bloke to do that.
-
I agree. Fair enough drop a couple of players and bring some of the fringe players through, but only a couple. Make bigger changes later in the game if we can afford to. I'd rather not bring first team players on if chasing the game.

While I hate X-Factor, I quite like that other one, Must be the Music? Had some decent artists on. None of this Cowellesque manufacturered shite, but "proper" bands. Plus currently its not trying to make our eyes and ears bleed with months of airtime. Toxic Funk Berry :

Here here. I question some of his purchases, but then I could say that about every manager. The single biggest thing has to be the solidarity between the players. Something thats vital. Like today, fighting for the ball for 90 mins. He has to take the credit for getting us back in one, and equally for where we are now. Lets not get carried away though.

Yeah Im below them also. In canny voice with shite songs for the first 10 mins. Pretty silent them bar one rendition of your support if fucking shite (irony escapes them) and then something near the end.
