I see them as different players. Ashton has some pace while Viduka has none.

I thought for his first season in the prem, under GR, in an average side, he done ok last year. This was the year for him to excel and improve. Instead, he has gone backwards imo. I think this is partly down to him and partly down to how he is being played. I'd sell him, hope to get £6M and try to buy Ashton (we wont get Anelka).

While Sams NUFC perhaps has the same number of points to games as Glenns did. Dont forget that Sams has arguably played the easier games and has a tougher second half to the season. Like for like games, Sams is about 7pts behind. Dont get me started on goals conceded...

Ill say again that we had a good first half. We played some good football and had some great chances that we perhaps should have taken better. Just the second half went to shit. For some reason the players in the second half often looked jaded / heavy legged. While hindsight is a wonder, I think if Owen was on for Martins from the start we'd have been winning at half time. As for Martins, he is no disgrace, just seems to give up to easy and and is very hot/cold as has been said. Very frustrating at times. Shame like, Ive nowt against the bloke. After a great start when he came here, he doesnt seem to have progressed.

I'd agree but both goals were down to basic football moves - something we are incapable of doing. The Duff decision didn't help but it shouldn't be seen as an excuse either. That was another odd one. I said to my mate when I seen the sub being made, that I didnt mind which went off, Milner or Zog as both were poor, in particular Milner who had a mare in the second half. Could have put zog or Duff on the right easy enough for Enrique to sit at LB. Then he took Duff off. We just laughed.
