Just had some bloke on the phone trying to sell me some phone thing (wasnt paying that much attention). Anyway, he sounded the double of the bloke from Phonejacker. So I asked the bloke on the line "do I get free ring-dings?". Went something like: "Do I get free ring-dings?" "sorry sir?" "I want free ring-dings, others give them" "are you the bill payer?" "I will be if I get the ring-dings" ...silence...... "hello?" (me) *click* twat hung up on me!

Other typical things that get hoyed are lasses wee scissors, gels (yup, thats a liquid dont forget), small metal twisty things that lasses carry ? bottles of water! (buy them in the departure lounge).

flying back from Ireland today I was sitting reading the newspaper, actually in full for once including all the wee bits I oft miss. Came across some belters such as: A kids entertainer who had previously been banned from using blow bubbles (incase a child slipped) has now been banned from using balloons incase a child is alergic to latex. WTF next, ban children from leaving an oxygen tent incase they are alergic to dust/cats/dogs/zinc/milk/etc/etc/meh Some council has banned workers eating at their desk incase it offends those partaking in Ramadan (sp?). Though, finally some good satire was a cartoon of the poor Hells Angel bloke shot on the M40, underneath the quote "I bet if the murderer was speeding they would have got his photo, reg and everything".

And not a single "My understanding is", "My source at the club tells me" or similar. I bet he was typing that through gritted teeth (fingers?).

Sounded like he had a bit of a shocker when I was listening to Sky on Saturday.

Id also be gutted to see Nobby leave, not just for sentimental reasons but he is still a damn fine footballer and one of the most skillful Ive seen. Yeah Id run like Im not sure how Id react. Ive a feeling that anger would take over and I'd loose the plot. Im generally all for people loosing any rights they had as soon as they break in somewhere etc. The end of the day, you have no idea how that person is armed or what their intention is. Id want the fucker dealt with swiftly before having the chance to find out.

Went to see Transformers last night after hearing so many rave reviews about it. While the effects/animations were fantastic, I found it very cheesy. Some bit brought a wry smile. Despite the action/robots/huge weapons/big explosions/hot chick it just wasnt quite a great blokes film. I know the sory is meant to be very thin, but I think it was more of a kids film than I realised. Worth seeing if you like to see good effects and such, or if you want to an easy to watch action flick thats very tongue in cheek.
