  1. It is a concern after such a good start. I also find the comments about making Zog a LB a worry. To me it sounds more like conceding defeat in the market for a new LB and using him as a makeshift. I'd watch with interest the coming friendlies to see if he plays Zog there and if so how he copes against better opposition. As mentioned, we now have a smaller squad than last season and really must get in some players before the window closes. We need a couple to firmly have a place in the first 11 and a couple more to fight for it / give depth. The Dyer thing needs sorting and fair enough let him go, but thats another body that would need replacing. I wonder if we would go for SWP and give him the centre role alongside Barton (when fit) to replace Dyer.
  2. If its a legitimate whack on the thigh, Id not be that worried. See if he's back for the Juve game.
  3. I think he will change depending on who we are playing and where. He has said he wants to be hard to beat away from home and perhaps more attacking at home. I do think we will see him use 4-3-3 but I also expect the usual 4-4-2. Once Viduka is fit I'd imagine he would start with Owen if in a 4-4-2 though in 4-3-3 Viduka would be flanked by Owen and Martins either side. For 4-4-2 you could imagine Milner & Zog/Duff out wide with Barton/Dyer in the centre. When we play 4-3-3 the centre could change to Barton, Emre/Milner & Dyer. At the back I reckon the centre will be Rozenhal & Taylor/Newbloke with Geremi & newbloke as full backs. Unless he will use Carr at RB and pull Geremi into midfield for games where we need more strength in the centre. All in all, in other words, I havent got a clue
  4. Id quite like to see what Sam can do with Dyer. Id also think that £2M would get us next to nothing and I would value him more than that. Current English midfielder? Has to be worth more like. Id at least keep him until the winter and see how he's looked.

    Thats Not Hail!

Bah! No sooner I typed that and I assume something near us was lightning. All our electric went off (thank you Excel auto recover!) but the odd one was my mobile phone going dead mid call. Set the car alarm and house alarm off as well. Geet sunny now like

    PS3

I went for the PS3. Ive had the Ps2+1 so semed the natural step. Already use my BT router so I was online right away with no extra cost. The Blue Ray player was also a big plus for me. I dont think can fairly compare either the quality or quanity of games out for the PS3 until it has been out for a while longer. remembering that the XBox was launched with an equally poor line up. I do see it that Ive took a gamble though. The Xbox has some cracking titles and Im hoping that the PS3 can catch up in quality and then some. If it doesnt, I got myself a decent Blue Ray player
  8. Local news throwing a big question mark over the Boumsong transfer. Or at least mentioned it along with Rangers being another one of the clubs. Yeah, and I bet that would have us all lost for words....
  9. Take away the sentiment that it's the pub behind the Gallowgate end and it's no real loss tbh - it's a fucking awful place. Wasn't likely to survive long once Shearer's opened either. A bigger loss in the pub stakes had to be The Farmer's Rest when M&S expanded years ago. aye, that and the Doll...
  10. I wonder if this has been highlighted by the new owners and the police brought in? Either way, doesnt sound as bad as initially thought and if its purely down to any of the previous regime I hope they get what they deserve.
  11. I seldom drive into town now. On match day I park down the bottom near the central. Only time Im up top is if I drop our lass off and thats usually around the Gate. It was this reason though I started shopping in the metro centre.
  12. Dont be so stupid man, Pele has retired!
  13. Seen Shrek 3 last weeked and I thought it was canny. I had low expectations for it which maybe helped. Much of the same but funny non the less. This weekend I seen the new Harry Potter. Again much of the same. Wasnt fantastic or anything but if you like the others you'd probably like this. Seemed to be a fair bit missed out from the book like. De Ja Vu - I watched last night on sky. Densel Washington. Usual good performance by him in what was a bit of a brain melter of a plot. Involves bending and manipulating time which always leads to a paradox in my head.
  14. The nerd in me as been tempted to upgrade but what Ive read here and similar things elsewhere has put me off. Seems to have some nice features, but Im not keen on it being such a system leech and knocking the compatibility of some of my software. Maybe if I upgrade to a new PC I'd go for it but on my current system I reckon Ill stick to XP. Its fast and its stable.
  15. Id like to see Zoggy stay and see how he improves. He had a cracking first season but was way off form last season. Not sure how much of that was down to injury / the manager / other but he didnt seem happy at all. Heinze I really cant see coming here due to the other options he has and the rather uninspiring mention of Franck Queudrue Im not that bothered about though could be ok as a squad player, though Id rather see someone else come in.
  16. Was Shearer such a great captain ? It always struck me that his were the first shoulders to drop when goings got tough. Harsh. Id never have said first to drop like, not when you had the likes of Dyer, Robert etc who would simply vanish. This said, on Taylor Im not so sure. Its not age or ability as a good leader doesnt need either. Someone to lift the team and pushg them through tough games. Mind, ability does have a slight impact in tat if they aint good enough they shouldnt play. this is where I think Taylor may be an issue. Not that he aint good enough, far from it as I do think he is getting better each year, just that as mentioned, for right now, we need another CH meaning he may not always start.

    Sky

I hate to sound like the shitty help desk that sky have, but have you tried resetting it? IE unplug it, take the card out and make sure there is no grime on the strip. Then knock it on again ? the amount of time they have told me to do that and its worked
  19. Especially when we can have Owen for 9M! Dont be daft who in their right mind would sell him for £9M som soon after buying him for £17M
  20. What a very strange picture, its only got two legs!
