Materialism: The "What have you bought?" Thread
The Mighty Hog replied to Tooj's topic in General Chat
£5.49 on play so if it's shite it's no big loss. Got The Departed on Blu Ray last week too for about 7 quid. So can't complain. Got the AC: Brotherhood Classics version today for £15, got some extra DLC thrown in too. -
Radcliffe is a favourite of mine. It should have that edge you're talking about though. Doesn't have to be insane, just something.
-
The round up show on BBC Two has Mark Radcliffe, Lauren Laverne, Zane Lowe and Jo Whiley. Why not have them on the live coverage? I know some are a bit marmite (personally I can't stand Whiley) but they'd be much better than the smiley, smiley blandfest they have facing up the live stuff on BBC Three.
-
I had a quick look at who was doing the live coverage on the TV and it's Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates. So that'll be me recording it so I can swiftly fast forward their "patter".

That'd be a shame, what with his iphone ap due out soon. http://lockerz.com/s/111800117

Isn't the lualua stuff from the fake twitter account that even had Ryder fooled? -
Watched the first four yesterday and today and it seemed canny. Ordered a double pack of Summer Heights and We Can Be Heroes to see if they are as good.

One of the journo's on Twitter shot it down last night. Might have been that msidouglas who does The Journal and Sunday Sun.
-
There's no link between us/sunderland and some one in La Liga who knows the PL well, KD corrected himself. At the end of the interview the sunday mirror guy goes on to say "there's a story about a rich northern club and a player in spain who premier league supporters are familiar with" or words to that effect. He doesn't specify a club but does say they are northern and are very rich.

No bids on the Perch and Smith training tops, wonder why. -
Moretti was on offer so I thought I'd give it a try. Not too bad actually. Was expecting it to be grim for under £3 for a four pack.

The initial thinking is that they are trying to distance themselves from five because it was a disappointment. It doesn't reference five, but I think the scream near the end is Lumen. The ending of the trailer about it all beginning again and all hell breaking loose didn't really fit in with five as well.
-
Nope, it's from Showtime's youtube page and was added on the 6th of May. It's got the official title of "Season 6 Tease".
-
Season 6 teaser time. Filming started recently and it will be on the usual time in late September.

Just stepped down as Villa manager according to SSN twitter.

They can be a bit hit and miss now they've started the "traffic management" bollocks (it doesn't effect older users iirc). I had some crawling speeds in late march/early april, but they were resolved. The router they send you is pretty wank too so keep your current one and look up on google how to set it up on o2, chances are it'll be a piece of piss. They did recently put up the prices on some tarriffs which annoyed a lot of people. However if you have an o2 mobile you will get a discount that makes them one of the cheapest companies.

It wouldn't work for me in firefox but is ok in chrome. Bit stuttery as mentioned, but the only thing out there. -
Bearing in mind the game takes themes and influences from the film noire genre, I'm not sure how those characters are relative to the argument. I'm no apologist (my copy is up on ebay, if I make my money back I'll be happy. If it doesn't sell I'll plod on with it). But if people expect "GTA 1947" they are going to be disappointed, but as far as I remember it was never marketed as that.
