Doesn't suprise me tbh. On the SMB yesterday there were loads of threads about the injury. A few posters said they wished Shearer had 'left in a body bag' and one poster even compared him to Ian Huntley! Ofcourse, when I reminded them about the way they reacted when Healy got his leg snapped and a few people condoned it I was told that Healy breaking his leg and Shearer snapping his ligaments are two completely different things that shouldn't be compared. Bunch of petty tossers.

I was canny bevvied last night and still managed to post quite coherantly. I saved my drunken ramblings for the SMB.

I was so fucked last night I nearly forgot about the highlights. I think my lass was a bit vexed when I quickly hugged her and ran out of the chip shop shouting "Shit! I'm gonna miss it!"

Went down the local where it was supposed to be on, the doors closed at 2:45 so we thought it was legit. Me and Mark got at 2, claimed our seats and waited. It got to 3 and the Landlord start flicking through the channels, it got to 20 past and he still couldn't find it (Cheer went up when he found some Japanese porn channel though). Everyone left with faces like smack arses when we all agreed that it probably wasn't coming on.

I've PMed the lad asking why he went off on one with Wacky.

Funnily enough I got into a conflab with a few Mackems on the SMB this evening and the only one that PMed me, apologised for the other's behaviour and asked what was the craic with Shearer's injury was Steve Cartwright. He seemed a very canny fella like Wacky so you must've got his back up so i'm assuming he has personal reasons for getting so edgy or he's just a bit of a soft touch.
