  1. quite. if everyone was fit, he wouldn't make the starting eleven. Wouldn't he? He's by far the most effective right winger we have in the squad. Chances are Dyer would be on the right and Duff on the left. If everyone's fit (very unlikely): Given Nobby Taylor Ramage Hunty Dyer Parker Emre Duff/Zoggy Owen Martins Harper/Krul Edgar Butt Milner Zoggy/Duff ****** Ameobi/Le Sib * We will always have a few injuries though and need to rest players too, so the versatile Milner at the moment is quite rightly almost always going to get in the team. I also like Dyer behind Martins but if Owen comes back on form we are not in a position to drop any of those three if playing well. Its nice to have three quality CM's in Parker Butt and Emre because of injuries, suspensions and having to rest at least one of them now and again.
  2. That's pretty true tbh. I think the thing with Bramble that forever saves him is that he has all the physical atributes to be a genuinely great defender (and even occasionally shows that), but equally his lack of concentration and incredible ability to make stupid mistakes that give away goals and will probably cost you 10's of points a season. I guess the managers all think "if only we can cut out the mistakes", but if that was going to happen it would have happened by now IMO. On the other hand his goal against Chelsea got us into Europe and the goal against Vent I think kept us in it. Not to mention the purple patch he had under Souness for a run of about 12 games before an injury in the uefa kept us in the prem that year. I have never disputed his lapses cost us or that we need a world class defender but reading through this your a bunch of wankers that don`t spot the countless errors costing points made by a lot of defenders and midfielders not just ours week in week out in all football games. Yes even the likes of JT makes mistakes!! Not like Shambles though!! His mistakes are many and varried, some being farcicle! The difference in price being about £48 million yeah I see your point, lets get FS to get the cheque book out. ????.......What????..... JT did not cost £48 million more than Bramble???? We should be on the look out for a really classy LB and a squad player of a striker to see the rest of the season through. We don't really need to be spending much imo

  4. That about sums it up for me - acceptance of mediocrity. I'd be astonished if I hadn't seen the clubs do so many other astonishing things... Think your putting it kindly there too! He's not mediocre he's one of the poorest defenders in the premiership, most other teams take the piss out of him for a good reason, because he really is a disaster who has cost us dearly consistantly for a few seasons now.
  5. Given Harper Krul Srnicek Solano Carr Taylor Ramage Moore Huntington Edgar Babayaro Bernard Milner Dyer Butt Emre Parker N'Zogbia Duff Pattison AOB Owen Martins Sibierski Ameobi 26 players, not the smallest squad around tbh. I don't believe we need a new right winger. CB and full back are the main priority. Carr, Ramage, Bernard, Babayaro, Moore, Bramble, Milner Pattison, Edgar, Huntington, AOB, Sibierski shouldnt get near our first team. Not good enough (in many cases never will be). Youre right about CB and full back positions but the others arent strong. Agree with Smoggeordie, thats a pretty decent squad we just have to get rid of Shambles, car and Luque and add a quality LB and possibly a squad player striker. Once we get injuries out of the way we'll line up: Given Nobby Tayor Ramage Hunty/Edgar Dyer Parker Emre Duff/Zoggy Owen Martins Subs **** Harper/Krul Edgar Butt Milner Shola/Le Sib we are not bleeding Chelski you know! Thats is a quality team/squad, wholesale changes would put us back to square one, we should build with what we have and make the odd quality addition when the right players are availiable. Don't know how you dislike our young defenders so much as they look very promising to me and i'm quite excited about ther prospects, gutted to learn Shambles is going to get a new contract though.
  6. Terrible decision!! It was a no brainer decision!! Piss off Glenn you twat if you give that idiot another contract!!!! Taylor, Ramage, Hunty and even Moore and possibly now Edgar too are all far more worthy of a place as a Toon CB than Shambles!! The next calamity from him is only round the corner as soon as he starts playing for us again. I really can't stand to see him in our line up as he makes me very nervous and that no doubt rubs off o other players around him too!!! It really pisses me off to think he's going to get in the way of the progression of all our promising young defenders too! Car and Luque are the two other 'no brainer decision' to get rid of.
  7. The Writter Mark Irwin is clearly a one eyed Spurs fan! Saying Butt shoulden't have been on the field to score the winner !!...and not even metioning that Chimbonda was the one who should have been sent off for the initial slap!! Not to mention De foe's goal being clearly offside! Spurs did have the better performance and the better of the play/chances, but big time rode their luck getting the benefit of two massive inncorect decisions which if given correctly would have surely changed the game in our favour! I remember that Steve Bennett seems very anti toon, wasn't he the one who outrageously sent Jenas off while playing for the TOON, for winning the ball against Arsenal?
  8. It was like Robert all over again. Rubbish, Martins put the graft in. Agree with luckyluke, Martins put the graft in today, as he always does!!! He's a really hard working player who luckily for us is capable of very special things!
  9. Perhaps that's true, but then, what did he do that was right! NO, not his turn to be hounded, I've been on his case before as have others. Pattisson certainly could have done more thus the low rating by most people.
  10. Thats good though, having a quiet game, then when needed, he wins us the game. Give Martins his due's he never stopped trying, he works his arse off he was getting very little service and getting frustrated so he was dropping deep in order to get the ball, he never gave up and he got his reward in the end, that goal was absolutely world class!!! Well done also to Given, Dyer and Butt!!
  11. Given 9 Some world class save us kept us in the game. Nobby 6 Not at his best today. Taylor 8 Superb at times. Ramage 7 Did well Hunty 7 Did well Milner 6 Not too good today. Butt 7 Good today. Pattison 5 Poor and ineffective. Dyer 8 Involved in everything. Le Sib 5 Poor and largely ineffective. Martins 8 World class strike out of nothing worked hard to try to create too.
  12. Wasn't a pen even Andy Grey said so!! This is going to be so so good IF we can hang on! With Hunty it was definately just a yellow!! (he wasn't the last man) YESSSSSSSSSSSS Full Time!!!
  13. Agreed! Redknapp said the guy should have gone off!! (why's he a wanker all of a sudden?) Its fair enough when your beaten fair and square! But to be beaten by two bad decisions by a Ref and linesman (one offside and he bottled Chimbonda's red) it sticks in the the throat a bit!!
  14. He's comming Deep to get the ball otherwise he won't be seeing any ball at all. Le sib and pattison have been our worst players so far both very ineffective. I'd be tempted to put o'brien on the left move pattison from LW to his propper position CM . Fuck me Chimbonda's slapped Butt in front of the linesman . Butt rightly pushed him back. Butt's booked Ref trying to get to Chimbonda who's having a go at fans ..now its going off in the tunnel!! Chimbonda should be sent off!!! Slapped Butt right in front of the linesman!!! Should be Red however think it'll be yellow as that's the card he's holding!
  15. I love how Milner has to do very little to be considered "not good enough" - regardless of whather he is our future right-winger, he's played really well recently, so give him credit. Agree with 'The Inspiration' Milner has been class lately plus he works very hard for the team gets back well too.
  16. First 20 mins all spurs, but we have looked better since we scored, it seems to have rocked spurs. There goal clearly offside as shown by sky cameras. Hunty looking good despite marking the very dangerous Lennon. Given the MOM so far which says it all really, Martins looks dangerous when he actually gets the ball (we need to get it to him more) I don't rate Pattison and think Dyer should be used up front or on the RW NOT CM!!!
  17. Think you've got it spot on if everyone is fit bar O'brien being on the bench. However Butt is apparently doubtfull which may open the door for Le Sib or O'brien. I'm going to be more optimistic and go for 2-0 to the Toon !
  18. Crouch + a left back out of that lot. Taylor (matty) would be great but doubt very much we'd get Taylor.
  19. Parker is an absolute class player!! I really don't understand his critics, he can't be MOM every game ya KNAA!! When he hasn't been our MOM people get on his back when he clearly didn't do anything wrong and was one of the players who were half decent!
  20. Steve Harper, Stephen Carr, Titus Bramble, Craig Moore, Celestine Babayaro, Peter Ramage, Nicky Butt, Damien Duff, Charles N'Zogbia, Michael Owen, Shola Ameobi and Olivier Bernard all expected to be out! Emre and Le Sib could be? My Team: Given Nobby Taylor Hunty Edgar Dyer Parker Emre? Milner Martins Le sib? Subs **** Krul Gate Pattison O'brien - bring on for Dyer at half time. Carroll
  21. Given 7.5 - Some great saves and good distribution today too! Nobby 7 - We need him as our RB, gets beaten sometimes, but makes up for that with his passing out of defence and his great reading of the game. Taylor - 7.5 Very good today against some awesome players. Hunty 7 - Looks like a very promising defender, his inexperience shows at times but stick with him and who knows how good he'll be? Edgar 9 - Filled in out of position at LB, defended well and scored against man u and all this on his home debut!! Dyer 8 - Not as good as he can be going forward today but tracked back a hell of alot and played well (tired late on). Parker 6.5 - didn't really stand out today at all. Emre 7 - Some good moves came through him and his brilliant ability to hold the ball up did well for us! Milner 8.5 - Awesome goal capped an energetic display got the better of Neville who was lucky not to get two yellows. Le Sib - gutted when he didn't score a free header from 6 yards but he played very well otherwise, very involved! Martins 6.5 - he had no service really and as a result didn't do as much as we know he can.
  22. Very pleased with 2-2 as was expecting to get thumped today against the best team in the prem. Edgar looks good and the team did well!!
  23. We don't half make things hard for ourselves gifting sides goals is very frustrating!!! Anyone know Why didn't Nobby play today? If Given's out next game, its probably a good idea if we give Krul another run out.
  24. whats the foreign stream? Can u send it to me?
