  1. Very good game, we created alot which was pleasing (especially solano Milner and Emre) Given 6.5 - One very good reflex save, coulden't do much about the goals . Nobby 7 - His passing, reading of the game and creativity from the back gives us another dimension. Unlucky with very fluky deflection. He must stay RB Taylor 7 - Strong when needed to be some vital interceptions too. Ramage 7 - See Taylor. we have to keep this partnership with taylor as they are easily our best two CB's Babayaro 5 - At fault for readings second, rusty or just plain poor, we will see in the next few games Milner 7.5 - Very creative and crossing very good too, can't belive some are saying he was poor! Butt 8 - Solid again. Emre 9 - MOM fanastic performace, very creative and absolutely cracking world class goal Zoggy 5 - Poor. Martins 7 - Really impressed by his workrate unlucky not to score more but a constant threat to Reading with pace and power. Sibierski 7.5 - He scored two (one incorectly ruled offside) could have scored 4 and set up Martins for his penalty and more! He's getting in the right places at the right time should have had a hatrick!
  2. As long as we get a replacement SELL SELL SELL!! or use him as a make weight for Campbell or Matty Taylor!!
  3. What team would you play? Harper, Krul, Bramble, Duff, the now very important Dyer and Parker are all expected to be out along with the usuals Owen and shola. Car and Baba back. No mention of Moore. Depending very much on the fitness of Moore and the sharpness of Baba i'd go: Given Solano Taylor Ramage Baba* Milner Butt Emre Zoggy The Sib Martins Subs Forster Moore?/Huntingdon Pattison Rossi O'brien *If baba's not looking sharp enough and moore is actually fit, bring Moore in at CB and Rammy at LB.
  4. GIVEN SOLANO TAYLOR RAMAGE DUFF DYER PARKER EMRE ZOGGY OWEN MARTINS SUBS HARPER/KRUL MOORE BUTT MILNER AMEOBI/THE SIB
  5. Zola wasn't in the same league as Cantona or Bergkamp. and certainly not inthe same league as Shearer, Henry, Schmeical or Keane who are the 4 best players to grace the Premiership imo.
  6. Sell to the highest bidder ASAP. There is no point in him playing even in the reserves tbh may as well try the kids out before him.
  7. Apart from one awful pass from Bramble that put us under pressure, I didn't think there was much between either of them .....and you actually watched the match?? There were several errors to be fair. Several? Can you name them? Well you're at it can you name the moments of quality from N'Zogbia too? If you watch the game again really carefully you can't bloody miss them!! Off the top of my head (there were more). Taylor gets too easilly turned by frankfurt player who gets a shot away (Bramble does get a block in then though). Taylor dives in again and loses man, their fella gets shot away. Two strikers lining up on 6 yard line Taylor no where near and Bramable cleared it! IF THIS WAS BETTER STANDARD OF OPPOSITION IN THE PREMIERSHIP, HE SORRY WE WOULD HAVE BEEN PUNISHED YET AGAIN FOR HIS BLUNDERS! GET RID ASAP Zoggy had some decent brakes and was fairly solid defensively too fairly good all rounder today. Substitute the name and very similar things happened to the fella you gave MOTM to. Maybe we should get rid of him too. Neither played well and neither played particularly badly. They were under a fair bit of pressure and both did adequately given their ability. I did watch the match by the way but having watched newcastle since the 70s, getting older and going a bit senile I cant say I have your eye for detail. Obviously not, no hard feelings though. Taylor wasn't most people's Man of the Match without good reason. Would you give Titus a new contract? Personally i couldnt afford his wages. your so funny........or answer a simple question it seems, without 'trying' to be clever. Anyway can't be arsed to argue with you, think what you like, its not my problem your wrong

  9. Agree that Bramble and Luque are gash (nothing new), Ramage looks decent, Nobby looks like he could be the answer at RB but maybe your being a little hard on Le sib.

  11. I'd give Emre and Butt a 7.5 if i was doing halves
  12. Apart from one awful pass from Bramble that put us under pressure, I didn't think there was much between either of them .....and you actually watched the match?? There were several errors to be fair.
  13. Keep 'em coming tbh. As Holden mentioned, our defence has improved significantly since Pearson arrived. I think thats the only positve thing from tonights game. Our midfield and attack was awful. Taylor was my MOM, he looks more confident and composed. And Nobby is our best right back - FACT! Nail on head! Nobby is our best RB and Taylor was awesome today again! Need to offload Luque and Shambles ASAP i.e. In Jan Plus think Roeder did the right thing in his team selection as certain players needed the practice of playing together i.e. Nobby in his new defensive role geling with defence and milner etc did think Huntingdon should have been tried out though.
  14. Nail on head imo Bramble is just not up to it and has done alot more damage to us than people realise (confidence wise). He was also poor again tonight with several unforced errors. Get rid ASAP Taylor class again tonight he and Ramage give all they've got for our cause and could be a class CB pairing imo To be fair Bramble was pretty solid tonight defensively. Just a few horrific passes. Shame imo. To be fair he really wasn't. He was turned a few times by very average players, he needlessly gave the ball away and his positioning was horendous at times other than that he was absolutey brilliant like He was very lucky to get away with the errors he made he's not good for the younger lads either wo may ge infected with his bad habbits (gang bangs aside).
  15. Given 8 - some great stops and read play very well Solano 8 - Had my doubts but the best Right back we have. Taylor 9 - man of the match!! How many blocks did he get in?? Bramble 5 - Several errors get rid ASAP Ramage 7 - Square Peg in round hole but the fact he is willing and the best availiable is to his credit. Milner 8 - Plugged away all night and it very nearly came off. Butt 7 - Steady Job. Zoggy 7 - Moments of quality. Emre 7 - Very Good The Sib 7 - Good 7 Luque - Poor 5 Martins 6 - so so never really got going
  16. Nail on head imo Bramble is just not up to it and has done alot more damage to us than people realise (confidence wise). He was also poor again tonight with several unforced errors. Get rid ASAP Taylor class again tonight he and Ramage give all they've got for our cause and could be a class CB pairing imo
  17. The Squad is apparently: Given, Forster, Babayaro, Taylor, Bramble, Ramage, Huntington, Edgar, Solano, Butt, Emre, Pattison, Luque, Sibierski, Martins, Milner, N'Zogbia, Carroll, Troisi, Finnigan, Gate. We can EITHER not risk ANY players we need for our next game i.e. Redding on Wednesday 6th of Dec and put out our weakest team OR we could use this game for some much needed fine tuning getting players to Gel as has been mentioned in the case of our Defence. After Luque's comments he shoulden't play imo So now i'd play: Given Nobby Taylor Huntingdon Baba (rather risk baba in this game a Prem game) Troisi? Butt Pattison Zoggy/Milner The Sib Martins My thinking being some players need more games in order to gel i.e. The Sib and Martins and some need to be tried out i.e. Huntingdon, we wont get a better game to try things out in.
  18. Other than you mixing up your left and rights i agree in principle it may be foolish to take unesscessary risks with certain players and i'd like to see more of Huntingdon pattison and O'brien in particular. You don't rate Martins then? or is he there just to give us a chance?
  19. Agreed I'd be gutted mind you if we sold Milner for £3m and bought Harewood for £3m, gutted in fact! Never mind £11m!!!!! It has to be Shite!
  20. He missed that tackle he didn't 'bottle' it. Parker and Emre are two very good players and Butt seems to be in that category too. Brilliant we have three good players for two positions we need to have too. All this Emre and Parker bashing really is very funny and complete bollocks imo as they are clearly two cracking players! If your looking for players to moan at then try Shambles, Car and Luque. Roeder has to take the brunt of it though as the buck stops with him. Hopefully we have turned a corner now, Glenn has till xmas to prove he has, if not we need to be looking for another manager.
  21. With Parker and the Zog doubtfull and Moore and Baba still expected to be out too with Owen, Ameobi and Bernard. what should the team be?? IMO Although this would be nice to win, this is definately not a 'must win', so i'd save the very delicate and seemingly very important Dyer for the more important premiership for starters (as he could break down at anytime now) and give Luque another chance. I'd also want Martins to play only a bit part too ideally. I'd also try and get as many of the young lads on as i could and i'd be tempted to blood young huntingdon as we may be needing him very very soon. Also would be nice to see Pattison and O'brien given a run out too. Similar formation to ours v Celta i'd go: GIVEN NOBBY TAYLOR BRAMBLE/HUNTINGDON RAMAGE PATTISON BUTT EMRE MILNER SIBIERSKI LUQUE SUBS HARPER/PAV HUNTINGDON (tempted to start him instead of Car or Shambles) EDGAR CAR O'BRIEN TROISI MARTINS
  22. He's a quality player no doubts, but we surely have other priorities i.e. fullbacks/Center backs and even big strikers to fill before we bring in yet another very small quick player in. We could do with a bit of height in our net few players too!Other than Sib up front we have no midfield players who are tall and good in the air! I'd rather we splashed our cash on Luke young from Charlton and Matty taylor from Pompey.
  23. Martins had an very good game imo as already mentioned he did everything but score (actually he did but the linesman incorrectly gave him offside). On another day he could have had three. His shooting needs to improve but he got really involved and looked better up top with the Sib.n He needs that little bit of luck to build confidence and then he'll do well imo
