Darren Bent wasn't £ 10 Mill, he was £ 16.5 Mill. Just like Cattermole is reported at £ 8 Mill after clauses are paid. So unless you plan for both your signing to be shit and complete flops, your total expenditure is at £ 33.5 Mill, not £ 25 Mill. Edited. Got the Bent valuation wrong.

I've never really seen him as someone who would buy a football club. He goes around the world trying to influence rich people to give to the poor. The mad money in football would be something he really is against IMO.

It's a difference between strikers who take penalties and don't as well. Both Carew and Gabby ended at 11 or 12 league goals IIRC. If you added Barry's pens you would probably be looking at an additional 5-6. So a striker who doesn't take pens could easily end up at 18 goals if he took them.
